Probably excellent by sue from Berkeley, CA02/04/2010

I wrote the first review because I think this product is excellent for dog teeth cleaning. However, I have recently become concerned about the zinc gluconate ingredient in light of the recent recall of Zicam zinc nasal spray for humans. Apparently, zinc is great at killing bacteria and viruses and also at killing your nerve cells. I would like to know if the level of zinc in this product is high enough to be of concern for the taste buds of my dog. Until the company convinces me that zinc is safe for oral and nasal use, I think maybe it is wise to limit the use of this rinse. Biotene also makes a "maintenance gel" which has the enzymes but not the zinc (check the ingredient label before quoting me on this). I will switch to the gel just to be on the safe side. Sue

Nice mild scent and taste by vettech from Los Angeles, CA03/10/2013

For my dog, I squirted a gauze with this liquid and rubbed the grime from her teeth. She seemed to tolerate it well since it is not a strong or offensive taste or odor.

Biotene Mouthwashj by WahineWinna from Honolulu, Hawaii01/23/2013

This product in conjunction with Biotene Antiseptic Oral Gel (1 oz) helped fix an ongoing problem with my boy. I used a Vet's recommendation for a long time without seeing any results. The Biotene fix the problem in a very short time and the dogs don't seem to mind it at all.

Useful instead of toothpaste for brushing by Karen from Cleveland, Ohio06/28/2012

I ordered this by mistake instead of Biotene Water Additive. I was going to send it back but decided to give it a try as a mouthwash for my Maine Coon.. I typically use a gauze pad with toothpaste to "brush" his teeth as it gives me better control in his relatively small mouth as opposed to using a brush. Squirting it into my cat's mouth was not kindly received so I saturated the gauze pad with it and rubbed his teeth and gums down per my usual application technique. Doing so wet his mouth down almost as much as directly applying into the mouth and I had the added benefit of an abrasive cleaning via the pad. Biotene is a brand that my vet recommends (and I use the water additive too) so I feel confident that the product is doing what it is supposed to do. Since I just started this regimen, it is too early to tell how much benefit these products are having.

    Excellent by Sue03/10/2009

This product works great! The fizzing action at the gumline shows you that the enzymes are activly cleaning the teeth. This product works best when rubbed directly on the teeth and gums with a sponge applicator to allow for maximum contact time. Hold your dog's muzzle closed as you apply to the outer surfaces so the tonque is not immediately licking it off.

This product was recommended to me by my son who got it from his vet. Based on his comments it help his dog and two cats with their bad breath. I have an older dog with bad breath resulting from his bad teeth. So far this has been a win/win situation. His beath has improved and hopefully his teeth won't get any worse.

I have used this product for several years to save on dental cleanings for my cats with TERRIFIC results. We went from once a year on each cat to over several years now. On our visits when the Vet checks their mouths, I always remind her we are on AquaDent, and she says "Great." The price is so much cheaper than buying from my Vet's office. I am very, very pleased, and it sure helps my budget!

The only negative comment I have is: be sure to follow the dilution instructions on the bottle and remember to change the water bowl everyday. At the correct dilution, the pet will not notice the mint/strange-to-them flavor. Brushing is best, but this is a good alternative, especially if combined with other dental care activities/products by CET.

Danger - Xylitol Toxic to Dogs by CB06/15/2010

No Luck - Might be for the best. by Bill08/15/2012

I have tried several times to introduce this rinse to my two girl kittys' water bowl in a very, very diluted fashion with no success. Both went on strike and won't get near the water bowl. I'll have to admit too that in retrospect, I am not so sure adding these chemicals to their drinking water is all that great an idea anyway. If your Vet recommends you try it as mine did, I would suggest to him/her that they carry this product along with their other pet food & supplies (my Vet does not) and for a small fee, allow you to try a sample before you invest $19 like I did. I think we will stay chemical free. Would not be the first time I have come to the conclusion that my animal friends have way better common sense than most humans I know.

While I am sure brushing Molly's teeth would have been the best way to go, I think using Aqua Dent is very helpful in reducing the amout of buildup on her teeth. It's easy to use, she seems to have no objection to it and I have noticed her breath is fresher. When you are 14 years old (91 by our standards) you don't need any hassles.

DO NOT GIVE THIS TO YOUR PET by Ant from Houston, TX12/19/2012

Xylitol, which is one of the ingredients in C.E.T. AquaDent is toxic to pets and can cause serious side effects and even death. My Vet recommended it and evidently they are unaware of this information, so I am informing them along with any pet owners I know, not to add this to their pets drinking water.

great for greyhounds by ceecee from wisconsin06/28/2012

ZYLITOL KILLS by pommombjw from Florida06/15/2010

There is NO way I would even try this product because it has ZYLITOL in it. I lost one of my pomeranians to zylitol a few years ago and I would not wish that experience on my worst enemy. Not all dogs would be affected by the amount used in this product but why take a chance on your dog? I wish the manufacturers would take it out and replace it with something that is not harmful to ANY animal. Here is a pic of the baby that lost her life to ZYLITOL.

less tartar by LaP from Dallas11/02/2011

They are not fond of drinking the treated water. I serve their dry food with a little water, make it like cereal, including the CET additive. They get some at each meal. I give the CET chews twice a week. No build-up of tartar occurs - for the most part - it makes a big difference. I brush their teeth as needed too, maybe once a month. It works for me.

    Amazing Stuff by Ro06/07/2010

One of our larger dogs had such bad breath he practically knocked us off our feet. In addition, he had lots of plaque on his teeth. The vet would not do dental work on him because of his health and she suggested this product. It has been magical. His bad breath is completely gone and in addition, most of the plaque that yellowed his teeth has also disappeared, we can hardly believe those bright white teeth belong to our darling "Love."

Dog got cramps/diarrhea by Ace's mom from glendale, az01/18/2013

Our vet gave us a sample of this product when my dog's teeth were cleaned. All was fine until I used up the sample. By the time I started him on the bottle I purchased, I couldn't continue using it. My dog was getting up several times at night to go outside. I think it's the Xylitol artificial sweetener. It did make his breath fresher & it's supposed to cut down on tartar. He's 10 yrs. old & had trouble with anesthesia (blood pressure dropped during his teeth cleaning) so it's dangerous for him to get anesthesia again. I was trying to avoid getting his teeth cleaned so often but cannot use this product. I will have to try to brush his teeth (good luck!) It may be worth a try but my dog couldn't use it & I wasted my money.

Xylitol is toxic to dogs by Susan Porter02/05/2009

It is now common knowledge that Xylitol is very toxic to dogs. It causes a dangerous drop in their blood sugar. It is incomprehensible that Virbac has Xylitol in this product. If it is in high enough concentration to disrupt the sugar metabolism of the periodontal microbs than I assure you it is bad for your dog. Why find out how big a dose is lethal?

I was happy to find it at EntirelyPets. I no longerf have to buy band ades in bulk. My pets teeth appear white and clean. Just a few drops in their water is all it takes. It is invisable and without smell. Alot easier thantrying to hold a squirming (biting and clawing) animal.

Works, but would prefer flavorless formula by zeusie from Indianapolis, IN01/01/2013

My cat has very severe kidney failure and the condition has made his breath really bad. Apparently the condition affects his saliva. I want to prevent dental issues caused by this condition and bought the Vet Dentahex oral rinse to help. His breath is definitely better after applying the rinse, so I have to assume it's working. I suspect he really hates the mint taste; I would prefer it be a tasteless formula to eliminate this aspect since it's hard enough to hold him still to squirt the stuff in his mouth. I'm holding off on giving it more stars until his next dental check-up to see how well the product works between visits.

Evorapet oral probiotic powder really made our 4 dogs' breaths go from moderately smelly to almost no smell. I was just using dental cleaning pads, but now that i added this probiotic, their breath is so much better! All the dogs' teeth were cleaned over the Summer, and this product combined with doggie dental wipe pads keeps the plaque to a minimum. I gave some to each of my daughters, who each have 3 dogs, 6 dogs total. Their dogs all showed major improvement and have either mild or no bad breath at all. It worked on our 10 dogs and I highly recommend it.

    AWESOME PRODUCT! by Grandma04/13/2013

My 4 cats' breath was really concerning me, as were their gums; they looked irritated. I found Evorapet doing a search for oral probiotics. I was having a very hard time applying a cleansing enzymatic gel to their gums and teeth. Cats are not the easiest creatures for that! Evorapet is very easy to use, just sprinkle & mix with wet food ( I don't feed them kibble ) and that's it. No hassle, no struggle, no having your cat run away from you. A whole scoop seemed to much for their small mouth so, I use only half the amount. In a matter of 2 weeks, my cats' breath and gums changed completely. They smell great, their teeth look clean and white and their gums are normal pink. I am up to the 3rd jar and I tell everyone about it. I work at a veterinary hospital and see a lot of dental procedures done. They are not only costly but also, stressful for the animals who have to be sedated, hooked to iv fluid and the procedure only deals with removal of what's there. It doesn't keep teeth and mouth clean afterwards. Highly recommend it to everyone with cats or dogs. I also use it for my chihuahua. Awesome product!

works fast -great product! by Samantha from Georgetown, TX03/04/2012

My vet was concerned about my dog's teeth and wanted to schedule an expensive cleaning. I decided to try this first. The dog's mouth odor was gone in just 2 days! It's been a week and her teeth are already whitening. Being frugal, she is only 25 lbs so I decided to use 1/2 the recommended amount and we got the same results promised, so now I can make it last longer. I sprinkle it on her daily can food and she doesn't even notice it. Great product ... I want to find some for my horse. He has a smelly mouth too.

    Good product by smokey06/26/2013

I had to use this product awhile before I could see results. Its not a short term process, but it does work. Both my dogs and cats have accepted it with no problem. It is easy to use and seems to be a good value, as it doesn't matter how many animals are drinking the water with it in it, they are all getting the benefit. Only thing is I tend to hesitate to throw out left over water for fresh, which is usually the case with the cats, because I feel like I'm throwing money away. I would buy it again and probably use it regularly.

Used at the direction of our DVM after having all 3 dogs teeth cleaned. Maintains the flora in their mouth and cuts bad breath. Simple to use and fast quality service from Entirely Pets. Thank you.
