Alaskan Salmon Oil is for Healthy Skin & coat. It supplies a range of different omega-3 fatty acids, including the long chain Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.
The health condition of your dog or cat's skin and coat is influenced by the contents and balance of fatty acids in the diet. The ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids in the diet of your dog or cat is important in order to avoid degenerative conditions like hot spots, a dull coat and inflamed, dry and itchy skin. Scientific research supports the optimum ratio of fatty acids in the range of 1:3 to 1:6 (omega-3:omega-6).
The omega-3 fatty acids also help counteract negative effects of allergic dermatitis by producing specific eicosanoids, which are known to reduce and control skin inflammations.
Regular use of Alaskan Salmon Oil attributes to a lustrous, shiny coat and gives your dog or cat the appearance of overall good health.

lucy, our german shepard loves the Alaskan Salmon oil on her food, but the best is her coat is so soft and shinny now. she used to have dry flakey skin and dull coat, that is all gone. Thank you, gbf
Good product; poor packaging by NMPatti from Jemez Springs, NM11/06/2012
My dogs both love the taste, and the results are a definitely shinier coat, but they need to work on their pump. When I called Cust Svc for help, telling her the pump shaft was too long for the bottle, she instructed me to cut off the excess. i then told her I couldn't get the cap to pump, and she went to get one and walked me through where to hold it and how to turn it in order to release the pump. What a bother!
