My elderly arthritic cat loves this bed. However, the heater inside the bed is only half the size of the bed, so she has to sleep right in the middle. I had an older version of the same bed, and the heater was much larger, so my cat could sleep anywhere on the bed and still be warm. How come this company reduced the size of the heater, and how come you can't buy a replacement heater when the old one burns out?

My cat won't go anywhere near this, for some unfathomable reason -- he acts afraid of it. If I had realized that it was nonreturnable, I would not have bought it. (It becomes nonreturnable as soon as you open the packaging. I had gotten confused and thought I was ordering from Petco and could return it at the store if the cat didn't like it.)
