Bed standing up to incessant chewer by Volo03/05/2013
So far my dog Sadie, who has ripped the stuffing out of a dozen other beds, has not yet chewed thru this one. She doesn't use it much yet either (the fabric makes a sort of crunching sound) and I think if I gave it to her brother she might chew a hole in it, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed! She is a Rottie/GSH mix with a powerful jaw who has chewed the legs off a wooden chaise, so the fact that she's not chewed a hole in this, let alone pulled all the stuffing out, is great! Especially as it's the last bed I'm buying her! ;-)
Did not hold up by Shelter Volunteer from Illinois04/24/2014
Were shredded the first night. :( I work at a shelter and when I first started noticed a few of the dogs did not have bedding, upon questioning why I found that they tend to shred and or eat their bedding. I decided to look for bedding that was "chew" proof. I ordered two beds to try, and glad that I only ordered the two because the dogs were given the beds last night and by morning they were torn to shreds.
Not what I expected by BHgns from Illinois05/19/2014
I volunteer at a shelter and we have a few of our larger dogs (two which are Pitbull) are major chewers and one of the beds did not last one night and the other had the zipper pulled out of it in the same amount of time.
These beds would be good I would think for less aggressive chewers, but not for major ones.
aspenpet Chew Resistant Pet Bedding by esplyyrs202/25/2013
I purchased two of these beds for a total of $56; I received them on February 21, 2013 and already my female dog has chew part of the zipper off, chewed holes in the bed and she began to dig the stuffing out of the bed. I really don't think these beds are chew resistant.
Five Star Solution to Wet Dog Beds by Jade's Mom from NE Florida09/10/2013
I chose this bed because I needed a 'waterproof' bed for a dog that sleeps in a pen outdoors. All beds will get damp when it rains hard. For this bed, I was able to make a cover that I can slip on and off easily and wash without worrying about the bed itself, being wet. Great solution for me, and my dog loves it !
