Wash before initial use 1. Clean on a regular basis, using a soft cloth or sponge and mild soapy water. Do not use chemical cleaners or harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
2. Should you spill water or other liquids on your bamboo feeder, make sure you dry it immediately in order to prevent staining.
3. Dry indoor heat can cause bamboo to crack so do not place your feeder near a heater. Wiping your feeder with a cool, wet sponge and allowing to air dry can help prevent cracking.
4. Do not use outdoors.
5. Our feeders are made of natural bamboo with a varnish finish. In strong sunlight, the varnish will break down and the bamboo will begin to weather, getting darker and ending up a silver grey color. Avoid direct sunlight.
