I bought my first Bamboo Guillotine Nail Trimmer 6 years ago and it just broke recently - not a bad run! It worked great for 6 years - always a clean sharp cut. I tried others and nothing came close. After it broke (I guess the plastic was fatigued), I bought another. For some reason it is not quite as sharp and does not cut as cleanly as my first one. Sometimes it shatters the end of my dogs nail. Still better than others that I have. Maybe I just got a lemon? Have to try another.

I bought these nail trimmers to donate to the animal shelter I volunteer at. We already had one pair and needed more! Even though we have many other brands of trimmers, I find that these are the easiest to use and the most effective for dogs and cats.
