Bird Biotic (Doxycycline Hyclate) 100mg is used for the control of non-specific systemic and local bacterial infections in pet birds, exotic gamebirds or racing pigeons.
Directions for use:
Add the contents of one capsule (100 mg) to 8 ounces of drinking water. Make a fresh solution daily. Continue for 7-10 days.

I have 5 rescue cats, and maintain 6 very large litter boxes, with various types of litter. I've found that if I empty a couple of capsules of doxycycline in the litter, it really helps to control odor.

I use recycled newspaper litter, and due to my cat's age, I have to keep a litter box in the kitchen. I open 2 capsules of doxycycline and mix the powder with the fresh litter, and it controls the urine odor for a week. This is a simple solution to what was a really big problem.
