CAPSTAR Blue for Dogs or Cats 2-25 lbs(24 tablets)
A single fast acting dose of Capstar (nitenpyram) should kill the adult fleas on your pet. If your pet gets re-infested with fleas, you can safely give another dose as often as once per day. To administer CAPSTAR tablets, place the pill directly in your pet's mouth, or hide it in food. If you choose to hide the tablet in food, watch closely to make sure your pet swallows the pill. If you are not sure that your pet swallowed the pill, it is safe to administer a second pill.
We recommend you follow up CAPSTAR treatment with a monthly flea control product such as PROGRAM, Frontline or Advantage. Then keep CAPSTAR on hand for the times when there is a visible flea re-infestation.

BEAT THE BUGS! by CATMOM715 from N WISCONSIN01/10/2012
I bought this product to help get ahead of a flea problem with my indoor only cats. Once the fleas were inside, it was taking FOREVER to get rid of them again. Capstar is a little extra nudge to get them the heck out of your life! Anything that will do that is top notch in my book!!!

Our vet recommended Capstar when we were facing a flea infestation (despite having used Frontline Plus monthly).

I really hate to use poisons to kill fleas....my dogs don''t behave normally for 24 hours after the pills. My dogs pant for hours after the capstar.

I have a rescue and have dogs transport from the south. They usually come with fleas. I started using Capstar about 4 years ago and now before the new pups enter the rescue they are treated with Capstar. You can see the fleas dropping off them and along with K9 Advantix II keeps my rescue flea free.

We have used Capstar for several years for our Westie. Whenever we visit the dog park or any park we give one of the Capstar pills to make sure he doesn't keep fleas that might have gotten on him.

My sons house has 5 dogs and 1 cat. It got infested with fleas. I gave Capstar a chance after all the other products I tried and they failed, but Capstar did what it said it would do. All fleas gone. I would recommend this to everyone..
BEST PRODUCT EVER!!! by Bowwow Shop from Ohio10/08/2013
To connie0113...who said this product is better at her vet....apparently you have been misguided. If its Capstar, its Capstar! Doesnt matter where you buy it, it is the SAME product! Read the box! Ask the manufacturer. You are wasting your money at the Vet.
Great product by jimeeo from Eustis, Florida01/23/2013
I had a recent flea infestation after taking my four cats outside. I spent many $$$ and no results. So after reviewing all info on this product on several different posts I tried it. I pushed this tablet down each of their their throats and confined them to a bathroom with a tile floor all at one time. After thirty minutes the cats started jumping. In revenge, the fleas were biting and then jumping off the cats dead. After two hours I let the cats out and saw all the dead fleas on the tile floor. Now that made me a believer in CAPSTAR.
Works Everytime by ME from Lothian, MD02/06/2013
We use this product on several of our cats in combination with Revolution topical for a flea infestation. Cats are extremely comfortable after using. The only problem we've found is that they scratch more for awhile. Then all is back to normal until the next hatching. We are using twice weekly as directed. Highly recommend.
This stuff works! by Lori11/21/2013
I have two indoor cats and they used to be bothered by fleas all the time. One of the cats is allergic to the saliva of the fleas. The vet recommended Capstar and to give it to them monthly. Since we have been doing this, they have not had any problems.
CAPSTAR by Groomer Girl from Quinlan,TX04/12/2012
I have a Groom shop in Texas. I love the capstars for many reasons. One it helps with not spreading fleas in the shop. It works fast!! I can give it to all the dogs and cats. Its safer than Dip plus no smell. It's not that hard to give and if we have a difficult Dog normally cheese or peanut butter does the trick. If all else fails I crush it and mix with a small amount of water and put it in a suringe. Most of my clients prefer it over a stinky Dip. It's just a great product all around. Only thing I wish is it worked on ticks. Other than that it's awesome. Oh and they can use it with the regular flea treatments instead of waiting a week so the dogs won't get reinfested.
Very good product by Frisky from Miami fl05/19/2014
Within a few hours, all fleas are dead on dog/cat. Then monthly flea product of choice works more efficiently.
I am in a cat rescue with TNR so immediate flea treatment is necessary.
Does what it Says by Barb from southern Florida01/12/2012
The product claims to kill live fleas on your pet within minutes and it does that. However it does not kill the eggs or larvae or fleas in the environment such as in your carpets or in dog bedding. I have had to give a pill about everyday until the flea problem was under control. I just purchased Program once a month flea prevention in pill form to use with the Capstar. Program prevents flea eggs from hatching. I'm hoping between the 2 products no more fleas. I should mention that we are in a warm climate year round.
Works Great by Kim01/05/2009
I live in Texas and the fleas do not give up. We have tried several things, but when we used this product it was like a gift from god. Our cats and dog where so much happier as well as our kids. No more flea bites in the peak season for us.
This stuff is amazing!!!!!! by Scott and Tamee from Rose City, MI10/20/2011
We have 1 dog and 6 cats, gave them all Capstar 2 and a half hours ago, they scratched like crazy about a half hour to an hour after, the fleas were crawling off them and dying. It was the craziest thing we ever saw, now all my animals are resting and hardly itching at all. It is the greatest stuff i have ever used, we are also using Program along with it. I recommend this product to anyone who has a pet with a flea problem. Seems our pets will have a peaceful nights sleep tonight.
Works like a charm! by Kim07/29/2008
We've used this for 3 years now during high flea seasons. It gives our Katie relief within a day! Amazing stuff.

Works great to get rid of adult fleas for 24 hours. It helps get a handle on fleas in addition to topicals.
Great product by Fleek from Ocala, Fl06/06/2014
We have been ordering CAPSTAR blue for several years for our little Pekingese dog. We had always had problems with fleas even while using a good monthly treatment. We have found that an occasional CAPSTAR tablet extends the effectiveness of the monthly dramatically, which keeps us and our dog very happy. I make sure we always have a supply of CAPSTAR on hand.
good, however... by artistpowell10/24/2011
Capstar works fast, but the effects pass so quickly that fleas can bite even later the same day. It would be good if the label said how long its supposed to work. I used it with Program, but that only kills the eggs, so its really a process. In self defense I got Frontline too, which vaguely worked. Gads. I'm trying not to bomb the house and yard. I really hate fleas.

Outstanding by Corinnep06/15/2010
This stuff works great. I give it to my dog right before I am going to take him out because the fleas just drop off, You can give it everyday but I don't. In the summer I give it more frequently. The vet told me not to use flea shampoo when I use this.
wonderful product to use with frontline by rhomp from iowa03/17/2013
we use this product for instant relief from fleas along with the frontline products. it works immediately and we use it often as we have been fighting fleas for a few months now. our next step is to bomb the house as we must still have fleas somewhere in the house
great product by meme from Warren MI01/27/2012
Bought Capson after reading the reviews. Our cats were infested with fleas this year. Capson gave them immediate relief. We didn't want to use the spot medication or a flea collar because my one cat had scratched her neck badly. I thought it would sting. This was the best option I had to get rid of these fleas. It works!
Big Help! by 207lisaz from Lewiston, Maine10/07/2011
Capstar works very well when used with Frontline, Advantage, or Program to help keep my pets flea free.
