Who says cats can't be heroic? On Jan. 2, according to a CBS report, Rosheisen, a fifty-year-old man from Columbus, fell out of his weelchair and was unable to call for help. He has a medical-alert necklace, but wasn't wearing it at the time. Rosheisen has osteoporosis and ministrokes that makes him lose his balance.

The police recieved a phone call from his apartment with no one responding on the phone. 10 minutes later, the police came to Rosheisen's apartment. Somehow, Tommy, Rosheisen's cat, had managed to press the speaker button, as well as the pre-set emergency button on the phone which was lying on the floor.

Rosheisen had tried to train Tommy to dial the emergency button, but had never expected this would happen. Rosheisen confesses, "Tommy is my hero."
