I can see exactly what I'm doing and how much nail I'm cutting when I use these. Other clippers are clumsy and often cut too much off the nail. These allow for a precise cut so there are no mistakes and no pain. Thank you!!
works better than scissor type previously used
FINALLY FOUND THEM by lil al from Reno, NV04/25/2012
I'm an ex-groomer, and this is the type of nail clippers that I used in my shop. I have bought nail clippers from other sources (big bag store) I think you know which one I'm speaking of, but they were cheap, lousy nail clippers. They were so bad they literally bent the nails on the dogs and I couldn't use them. Thinking it had to be a fluke I bought another pair, nope they are just plain bad nail clippers so I went online and found these on the internet. Wow was I happy to see them, its like running into an old friend. I know my fur babies appreciate them too no more bent nails that were painful. I'll be back for more products I only groom my two dogs now but I still want the best for them. Thank you.
Disappointed by red68ss08/11/2014
The product shown in the picture is NOT the product that was received. When contacted entirely pets to complain, they immediately sent me another nail clipper exactly like the first. I am not happy. The 2 clippers that were sent, although they are both Millers Forge, they do not operate as well as the one that is pictured. And there was no Syptic powder in the packaging. I will not do business with the company again. FALSE ADVERTISING! They need to change the picture to better represent the product.
Not only for your pet. by Jan from Louisville, KY08/11/2014
I have used Millers Forge Pet Nail File for years on my best four footed friends also on myself. Great human nail file curved so it doesn't slip off like a regular straight nail file. Ordered the last three for myself at age 92 I no longer have a best friend with four feet and a wagging tail. Miss all the dogs, dog shows etc. A great product, try it on yourself, you will like it.
I have a papillion and I was always afraid of hurting my dog when I cut his nails,so I seen these and bought them to give them a try and yes I did what I didn't want to do and cut his nail to short and made him bleed. So they do not do what they said they would do.

Got these after experiencing a bad service at a pet-store. Until now I have not clipped any nails from a dog so I was a bit hesitant that I would clip too much but with these I felt comfortable. I can now clip my siberian husky's nails while she's napping and do them every so often. She's more relaxed and is getting better at sitting still.
Quick, smooth professional nail trimmers by scottie from Towson, Maryland04/27/2012
I have a pair of these that I have had for 10+ years.
They still cut quick & smooth, no snags, easy to view while clipping and protective back stop if you need it. I was a dog groomer for 5 years in my late teens, early 20's and I have gotten used to professional instruments. Nothing at pet smart would satisfy me so I went looking for these! So glad I did, a great, long lasting, quality product! I'm sold!!!
The Best by WhippetGood from Rochester, NY02/14/2014
These are the best nail clippers you can use if you want the least trauma for your dog at nail clipping time. These clippers actually cut the nail rather than chop it off like other brands and styles. You can control the cut better and there isn't that disruptive 'clunk' associated with the other clippers. It is the only nail clipper I have found that does not have that 'clunk' even among other brands that seem to have a similar cutting profile.

I have used this brand before, very sharp.
sharpening & care information by frog13 from pahoa, Hawai'i06/21/2013
I love my clippers, but they are cutting off. Like weak scissors. They are supposed to be lifetime guaranteed. How do I get them tightened up, and sharpened. I live in Hawai'i, climate is very hard on metal, rust in the spring, on the blades, etc. Any advice is appreciated. I groom at my home, and would like to think I am able to care for my equipment, and make it last in a harsh environment.

I have never clipped a dogs nails in my life, and so I was a little nervous, that's why I chose these clippers with the guide.
It gave me an idea of where to cut ,but I still cut one nail a little short because the dog yelped.
I put flour on it and a little pressure and it stopped instantly though. I just need a little more experience,I believe, but the clippers are very good at clipping .
Can't use by Lorna from Seattle, WA12/10/2010
I think these are a sturdy design, but the blades are not sharpened to a thin enough edge, so they work more like a nutcracker. You have to put a lot of force on them to get through the nail, and my dogs don't like the pinching. Might be okay if your dog has soft, white nails.
Nice grip to these nail clips, sharp too. by cminniect from Bethany, CT03/27/2012
I searched for a replacement for my old nail clippers and found these. I like the wider grip that feels better on the hand than those skinny shafts on other clippers. They are nice and sharp and make a nice cut without shattering the nail on my cats.

I thought I was going to have trouble cutting their nails, but they were easy to use and it was very quick.
