The Missing Link vegetarian formula is suitable for both dogs and cats and is especially convenient for situations where animals share feeding areas. Add The Missing Link to your animal's regular food according to its weight.
Feeding Instructions: Add the Missing Link® to your pet's diet according to its weight. Due to the high fiber content, start with small amounts and gradually increase to the recommended level over the course of a week or two.

I was very pleased with my on-line purchase of missing link. This product was previously sold by my Vet but he has recently retired and the new owner no longer carries this product.

really works! by cam06/10/2013
I have been using this for my cat for about 6 months now. I mix this in his wet food and he does not hesitate to eat it. His coat is noticeably thicker and softer. He is more energetic. He used to get shots each year for skin allergies. He would get scabs and lose his fur. Have not been to the vets this year. This has definitely helped. This product is worth every penny.

This product has been added into my pets life and they seem to require it for their food now.

Happy by Nancy from California01/21/2014
This supplement has allowed me to add to my pets healthy raw diet. I also find that they like the taste of it also. Very satisfied
Wonderful stuff by chollamiki from Tucson03/12/2014
All my animals have remained super healthy and lived long lives because of this..

Great supplement! by Cat mommy08/12/2009
Great supplement that the cats seem to actually really like the taste of.
helps with hypothryoidism by NikL from Southern CA11/18/2012
My dog's vet, who is a nationally-recoginzed leader in treating thyroidism in dogs, told me to give my dog this once a day to keep his amount of medication lower. It really makes a difference. He's a senior now but you would never know it, and he certainly doesn't know it.
As far as the product is concerned, it's a good one, and the bottle dispenser gives you a better amount for your money, with less mess from squeezing a capsule. Though it can take a little while to learn how to dispense the right amount and do it cleanly.
The problem I had with this however, is that many discounted prices seem to include a close or expired date on the package. While this is an ideal sell by date, it's still a little disconcerting to find that the item you just bought has a date two months past due. (A problem I had with some of the capsule bottles.) Not to mention that with a previous purchase as the date approached my cats stopped being willing to eat food with this in it, which makes me wonder about it's freshness. I'd had it for several months though, so that may have been the problem. Fish oil isn't the most stable food item, even with vitamin E to help out.
Oh, and this has a very strong smell, much more so than the capsules. The cats seemed to like it though, which is the main thing. I just couldn't use it when my roommate was cooking because he complained that the smell was throwing off his ability to sense his own ingredients.

helped increase the appetite by britishbabehelped increas03/13/2012
our 20 year old japanese bobtail cat had lost a lot of weight, down to only 6.lbs. We had tried changing the brand he ate but he still seemed dis_interested in most of what we put down.... With the very first dose of Welactin on his food, he ate the complete can we put down, and we are glad to say he eats a whole can a day now as well as some "dry" cat food..... He is gradually putting some weight back on.... Thank_you Welactin
DON'T BOTHER.. by BBOOP from ny,ny04/09/2013
Don't bother ordering it. It's not in stock and probably never will be-I've been waiting almost 2 months and keep getting the same answer-it's on backorder.
I hate to say it, but once I added it to their food they turned up their little noses. Would not have anything to do with it.
Excellant product. by Ray01/09/2012
Recommended by my vet 5 years ago and Tigger has been using it ever since.
Good for my cat's overall wellness by Chakanna01/20/2013
My cat likes the flavor of this product. It also benefits her overall well-being. I've been using this product for over 2 years!

My persian and ragdoll had less than silky coats. My veterinarian suggested Welactin, and after about a week we saw a big difference. Softer, silky coats. We mix it into a bit of canned food, and they love it! Tried putting it on dry food, and they didn't want to eat it at all.
Great product! by Wendy09/26/2008
I've had 3 cats with kidney problems, 2 died and the 3rd one I've switched to no vegetables in food (The so called quality foods with vegetables added (high price too), is stressful on their digestive systems, cats can't digest vegetables.) She went from looking like we were going to lose her to a healthy look once we did this. Along with the switch we also purchased the welactin natural samon oil. We've tried samon oil before and all my cats threw up from it! NOT Welactin! There's something about this stuff that makes it far better than other samon oils. Even my cat with CRF doesn't throw up from it!
A bit stinky by OhKay04/02/2012
It's hard to imagine fish oil that smells this strong isn't bad. I don't know how you'd tell if it had gone bad. Too early to report on effects, but the cat does eat it on the food if I use only half a pump. A full pump is rejected.
still waiting.... by Mary from New York03/25/2013
I honestly can't comment on this item because I'm still waiting for it! I placed the order Feb 28th and still waiting...
I've used it before so I think it would do my cats good, but...still waiting...

My cat has always suffered from dandruff. No matter how careful I was to brush, bath and chose great food, he still had that pesky dandruff. After only using this fantastic product for about two weeks, he started to look much healthier. His dandruff is greatly improved, his eyes are brighter, and his coat has never been so shiny. Fish oil has so many fantastic benefits for humans, why shouldn't we make sure our cats are getting the same benefits?

If a Cat Could Spit! by dan5kay63210/01/2012
This product was recommended to me by my vet, because my cat sheds ALOT! And this was the first morning I gave it to her, it's recommended 1-2 pumps, I only gave her one pump of the stuff, mixed it up in her canned food, and ugh! poor thing, she was not happy! I had to add an additional can of food to the mixture before she would eat it. LOL! I guess it's an acquired taste...
Excellent product by Dave from Black Mountain,NC07/28/2012
Our Vet recommended this product. We have been very happy with this fish oil product and Bogey loves it with his daily meals. Performs as advertised.
This is a great product for my indoor/outdoor cats, who especially appreciate its "green-y" aspect in the winter months. The rest of the year they enjoy it as a welcome treat (the chicken liver component). Hint: sprinkle just enough for the cat to scarf up at one sitting, on only a small area/few pieces of food, because it will not smell "fresh" after an hour or so.
cats love it by dinah02/13/2013
Both my cats loved this from the first taste. I don't know if it's helping with vomiting or not. But I'm sure it's pretty good for them and they're both on the thin side, so I'm glad they are eating a little more.
My cats love Barley cat! by Sheila05/31/2009
I have 2 cats, different ages & different breeds. My tabby took a while to like BC, but now looks for it to be included with her soft food, and she loves it.!
My Torti immediately feel in love with the BC and both their coats feel just like silk. Great stuff. I will keep this stocked for my pets and order this again!
Cats Lose Weight and Love This! by Camryn01/17/2009
My cats have grown to love Barley Cat even more than their actual food; often they'll just lick the green powder off of their dry food and leave the rest of it alone. Since they were all getting fat (no amount of food seemed to satisfy them), this has been a huge step in the right direction. Barley Cat seems to satisfy the vitamin cravings where nothing else could--I tried vitamin pills; supplements; changing foods; everything. I highly recommend this product...though do wish it came in larger amounts. 3 cats go through 3 ounces mighty quickly.
Our beasties love this stuff! by DocChic (and cat lover) from San Diego, CA10/29/2011
Multiple times, i have found each of my kitties licking their bowls completely clean because they love their Barley Cat that much. it has been great for their overall health as well as less fleas and random vomiting.
yums up for Barley Cat by october13 from Massachusetts10/31/2013
Barley Cat was recommended by a vet 15 years ago to help digestive problems my kitty was having. I have two cats that turn their noses up to it, but my male is addicted to it and won't eat his dry food without it. I use it for flavoring purposes and cannot comment on the medicinal value.
