*Note: For the added comfort of your animal, you may warm the liquid to room temperature by placing in a bowl of warm water for several minutes before using. For long eared animals, fold the ear flap back and hold.
Put 8-10 drops of Ear Cleaner in the ear and gently massage the area to help dislodge the wax and debris.
To the animal the dissolving of the ear wax sounds like the carbonation in a soft drink. The animal may want to shake its head - this action will help dislodge any wax build-up or debris. After a few minutes, clean the ear with a swab, tissue or cotton ball and allow the rest of the ear cleaner to evaporate naturally.

My dog doesn't like having her ears cleaned but this stuff works great & doesn't smell like medicine. I've used it for years & like it.
Soothing and Cleans! by Joe from Northwest, Arkansas07/09/2013
Both of our dogs (Schnauzer & Yorkie) got ear infections at the same time. It was the sort of infection that just irritated their inner ears, and made them both scratch constantly. We used some of the vet recommended cleaner, but it smelled like raw vinegar, and was nasty. I found this item on Entirely Pets site and thought I'd try it. It smells much better and appears to be working very well. The infections are gone, and the dogs aren't trying to tear their ears off any longer.
It burned my dog's ears, needed to go to vet by Italianchi03/06/2014
After applying this product, my dog kept on shaking her head for several days. We took her to the vet, and they said inside of her ears were burned. I feel bad for my dog.

I think I bought this first at Petsmart? Having tried other ear cleaners that were caustic, this is soft and soothing to my kitties ears. Will continue to buy as long as I have dogs and cats.

Best ear cleaner for my Shih Tzu by Maggie from Michigan06/17/2013
I've purchased a number of different ear cleaners for my Shih Tzu when Clean Ears was not available locally. None of them compare to Clean Ears for performance or comfort for my dog.
FOR DOGS ONLY by Anon02/07/2013
The bottle specifically states, in 2 places, that this product is for dogs only. I have not yet taken it to my vet to see if it's safe for use in cats, but I find this irritating.
Highly Recommend by jojo from Rochester, NY10/23/2012
The Vet gave me their clinical cleaner and it was caustic and smelled. I bought this, smells great, is soothing and instantly washes and cleans well. Plus the aloe helps heal any rawness or cuts from scratching.
The best of the best by Moes Mama04/30/2012
I have tried numerous ear cleaning products on our dog and this is the only one that cleaned his ears effectively and stopped the constant head shaking associated with wax buildup. I love this product so much I order multiple bottles at a time.
Fantastic!!! by Jeanette from Elizabethtown, PA11/03/2011
Clean Ears is a great product! It breaks up the wax in the ears instantly enabling an easy clean with cotton. My dogs' ears smell so clean after using Clean Ears. I highly recommend this product.
