Feeding Guidelines:
Vertex is formulated for adult dogs. These feeding guidelines are a starting point and you may have to experiment with your dog to find the correct amount to feed, depending on your dog's age, activity, and temperament. In order to reach an optimal body condition, you may need to adjust food intake. For better absorption when feeding Vertex with dry food, mix with water.
Sedentary (less than 20 minutes of exercise/day): 1 teaspoon/20 lbs. once a day
Moderate (20-40 minutes of exercise/day): 1 teaspoon/20 lbs. twice a day
Active (40-60 minutes of exercise/day): 1 teaspoon/10 lbs. twice a day
Extreme (hunting, service, S&R, etc.): 4 teaspoons/10 lbs. twice a day
For faster recovery and replenishing of lost energy stores in highly active dogs, include 1 feeding of Vertex within 30 minutes of completion of exercise for the day.

I do search and rescue for cook county illinois with my German shepherd and labrador. Both dogs were getting fatigued after 2-3 day searches and would take 3-5 days to recover. Especially in hot weather. I started them both on this product vertex and was absolutely amazed at how quickly it worked to keep my dogs stamina up and decreased recovery time to barely a day even after long deployments. Makes them eat more though. :-)

I have tried just about every product there is on the market for my working dogs back pain. Some products helped a little or for a short period of time, but then I tried Vertex. I havent looked back since. This stuff works unbelievably well. It is highly palatable, I just mix it into her kibble with some water and she gobbles it up. Since I started her on this she has had no back pain and she gets up from laying down quickly like a puppy again. This stuff WORKS!
