Use this on one of my dogs that tends to have more "doggie odor" during the summer months. Works well initially, but dog needs pet wipes in between shampoos.
gets the stink out
from Phoenix, AZ07/07/2010
My dogs are in our pool in the summer and the pool chemicals make one of my dogs really, really stinky! I've used other shampoos but she would still smell! This is the only shampoo that gets the odor out! I love it!
This works well and lathers up really nice.
A little bit goes a long way.
And no sign of allergy on the Russian Toy that I washed twice with it so far.

I've used this shampoo for years, and have yet to find one that leaves my dogs smelling great for as long as this shampoo does. Not only does the D-Limonene in the formula give an extra boost of pest protection to my dogs, but it also works to remove even the most stubborn of odors. The bottle claims that it eradicates skunk odors, but I wouldn't go that far. We use a recipe (1 quart hydrogen peroxide, a squirt of dish soap, and 1/4 cup of baking soda) to knock the skunk smell down, and then we follow-up with this shampoo. This regimen almost completely gets rid of the skunk smell. This shampoo is also very quick drying. LOTS of reasons to try this shampoo.
I have used this product for years and absolutely love it. Not only does it have a great citrus odor due to the d-limonene (a component of citrus), but it keeps my dogs smelling clean for a much longer period of time than any other shampoo I've tried. When we board our dogs in the summer while we go on vacation, we get them back shampooed and they smell dirty again within the week. I can wash my dogs once a month with this shampoo and not have to worry about visitors to our house smelling "dog." Don't my dogs look so happy!
