Flexi All-Belt 2 Retractable Belt Leash features a specially designed webbing for the entire retractable dog leash instead of a cord. It extends up to 16 feet and is for dogs up to 77 lbs.
1. Extend your arm forward and press the brake button with your thumb to prevent the dog from further extending the leash cord.
2. With the brake button depressed, step towards your dog and at the same time bring your arm to your side.
3. Release the brake button and swing your arm towards the dog so that the leash cord can retract into the leash housing. Press the brake button again to prevent the leash cord from extending further. Repeat this procedure as often as needed.
Warning: To avoid potential eye and face injury and cutting, burning and amputation injuries to your body from the leash cord and hook, all users must read and follow the enclosed Warnings and Directions for Use pamphlet before using the Flexi Dog Leash. For use by responsible adults only. NEVER use the leash near or around infants and children. NEVER WRAP THE LEASH CORD AROUND FINGERS OR OTHER BODY PARTS!
INSPECT LEASH AND COLLAR BEFORE EACH USE
Make sure that all parts of the leash and your dogs collar are in good condition and are not damaged, frayed, or broken
ATTACHING THE LEASH
Always use the enclosed safety collar in addition to your dogs collar as illustrated. The safety collar prevents snap-back if the dogs collar breaks, or if the leash disconnects from your dogs collar.
Attach the hook of the leash to the D-ring of your dogs collar.Never attach it to your dogs ID tag ring. That ring is not strong and will break.
Make sure that the hook is fully closed and securely attached to the collar D-ring and the rings of the safety collar.
DETACHING THE LEASH
Make sure your dog is under control. Fully retract the leash before detaching it.
WHAT TO DO IF THE CORD/TAPE/BELT GETS WET
Pull the cord/tape/belt out of the leash housing as far as it will go and lock the brake. Leave it to dry overnight in a place that is out of reach of children. When the cord/tape/belt is dry, carefully and slowly retract the leash to keep it under control.
USING THE LEASH
Always hold the leash by the handle, never by the cord/tape/belt You can also hold the hand loop with your other hand for extra control. Never tie leash around a tree, pole, or any other object.
To bring your dog nearer, follow these steps and never touch the cord/tape/belt:
Extend your arm forward and press the brake button.
Step toward your dog and at the same time bring your arm to your side.
Release the brake button and swing your arm towards the dog and press the brake button again
This is my second Compact II leash and it's perfect for my 70-lb Dobie girl! I can give her the range she needs to do her business, yet still control her when I need to. This leash is so nice that my previous one was stolen at the dog park soon after I got it!
Flexi Belt Leash by Kay from Frostproof, FL12/11/2011
I would recommend this leash. Have used Flexi blend belt leashes for years and they last a long time. Our dog likes to chew on it and it still doesn't break the belt.
