Maintain the health of your pet fish using Fish Mox. This antibacterial product treats common bacterial diseases found in fish, for example, pseudomonas genera, aeromonas and mycobacterial diseases like chondrococcus and gill diseases. It exerts bactericidal action, so it is effective against both Gram-positive and some Gram-negative bacteria.
Application of the drug involves adding the contents of the pull-apart capsules to every 10 gallons of water and repeating this treatment in 24 hours. A 20% water change and the use of a charcoal filter to clean the water should be done prior to each treatment. The type of infection and its severity will determine the treatment duration. However, the extended medication baths should be continued for a minimum of five days and a maximum of 10 days.
This product is an amoxicillin antibiotic of standard pharmacy quality. Fish Mox is recommended for use in fish tanks, on aquarium and ornamental fish.
