Fiproguard Max... WAY BETTER then Frontline! by TheWineLover from Stone Mountain, GA05/29/2013
I've seen on SOOOO many sites how this product has been, well, pardon the expression "dogged". I believe it's because of one of two reasons. The first being not following the application directions. The reason I believe this is most people I've witnesssed apply any topical flea/tick treatment has not ensured that the product when into the skin... but rather sat atop the coat. Of course it won't work if it doesn't reach the skin which it's designed to go. The second is they have bathed the dog too soon after application of Fiproguard. It needs to stay on the dog at LEAST 48 hours for it not to be washed off and absorbed into the bloodstream.
I have a 32lb Whippet mix. She is primarily an indoor furry baby who goes on weekly park adventures with me... lollygags in "her" backyard on sunny days and goes on daily walks. I NEVER bathe her post application... always before. I also make damned sure I massage it into her skin as I apply it between her shoulder blades and down her back.
If one follows the directions and applies the product properly, you WILL see excellent results. Or rather... you won't see any bugs. :) Even better. :)
