I was so excited when I first bought this in hopes that it would provide clean, cool, water for my pups to drink at all times. It works great for about a week or two and then the drama starts. I found that the filters don't last near as long as they say it will and the water gets pretty muggy from then on out. It's a lot of work to open it out and clean all the inside parts. If you're like me, then you want your pets drinking the same kind of water that you would drink yourself. I just didn't trust this fountain enough. I sold it in a garage sale. By the way, it takes seconds to clean out your pets' water bowls and refill it with clean, fresh water.

I've used this dish for two cats. The pump has run continuously 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for 7 years now - (except during power outages!) great water dish
