Kills Ticks

Frontline contains the active ingredient fipronil that effectively targets fleas, ticks and chewing lice. Fipronil collects in the oils of the skin and hair follicles, and continues to be released from hair follicles onto the skin and coat, resulting in long-lasting activity

Waterproof Formula

Thanks to its waterproof formula, FRONTLINE Top Spot won't rinse off when you give your dog a bath or when your dog goes for a swim. The active ingredient in FRONTLINE, fipronil, is stored in the natural oils in your dog's coat, so your pet is sure to stay protected no matter how many puddles he or she tramps through.

Usage Info

How FRONTLINE Top Spot Works

Use FRONTLINE TOP SPOT for fast-acting, long-lasting flea and tick control. When you apply FRONTLINE, fipronil, the active ingredient, is stored in the oil glands under your pet's skin. It's then distributed continuously to the skin and hair of your pet through the hair follicles. This way, FRONTLINE provides waterproof, month-long protection against future pests while breaking down the flea and tick life cycles.

Simple Three-Step Application

Applying FRONTLINE TOP SPOT to your pet is an easy three-step process. First, remove the Frontline Top Spot applicator from the child-resistant package and cut or lift off the plastic tab to expose the foil and then peel the foil down. Next, hold the applicator upright and away from your face and body and snap off the tip. Finally, place the Frontline Top Spot applicator tip on the skin between your pet's shoulder blades and squeeze the applicator to apply the entire contents in a single spot onto your pet's skin.

To prevent harm to you and your pet, read the entire label and enclosed directions before each use. Follow all directions and precautionary statements carefully.

Fipronil is a manufactured insecticide that works on a cellular level on adult fleas and ticks. It seeps into an insect's cells and blocks chlorine molecules from passing through. This stops the nervous system from working and paralyzes the insect.

Fipronil kills adult fleas and ticks on contact or when consumed, and it can be spread from one insect to another.

Because fipronil is so strong, it only needs to be applied once a month to continuously kill fleas and ticks. Once it is applied with an oily liquid to keep it on the skin of your dog, it slowly seeps into the hair follicles and oil glands where the fleas and ticks live.

great product by rocco's dad from Always Sunny Sarasota, FL01/18/2012

Great product doesn't freak out my yorkies like a lot of other flea and tic meds do...

I feel cheated by Tony10/24/2012

The product box was way off of the real product sold everywhere else and it didnt work on my dog the frontline i buy from stores works like a charm. I'll stick to the stores because I feel cheated here

Frontline Top Spot by Kilborn712/14/2011

I have used both frontline plus and top spot, topspot really does last at least 30 days as the plus needs reapplied after about 15 days although they do not recommend doing this.

Frontline is the best for ticks by lengleman02/27/2013

I live in a very wooded area and have found that Frontline is the best for keeping them off my dogs.

This is no longer the formula! by Kim06/11/2014

The box that you see pictured is no longer what you'll receive and the ingredients in the new formula are now exactly identical to that of Frontline Plus. I called Merial, the company who makes the product, and they confirmed that this product is now the same thing as Frontline Plus (Frontline Top Spot's patent expired and rather than discontinuing the product, they kept the name with Frontline Plus's formula so that they don't lose customers who buy the Top Spot). I informed Entirely Pets that they need to update their product information to reflect the addition of the new chemical in the Top Spot (S-methoprene) and they apparently haven't done so. My dog can not have S-methoprene for health reasons and so I find their inaction to be irresponsible. Not to mention they're charging more for the Top Spot than the Plus (again, identical formula!) Disappointed both with Entirely Pets and with Merial.

by from 02/29/2012

It is the luck of the draw when you put poison on your pet's skin. Out of the blue, my dog panted, frothed, choked and collapsed from applying as directed. The vet saved her, but for the rest of her life she was covered with black oozing pores and her hair fell out.

didnt work for us by buster from florida11/15/2012

we used to use it-maybe formula has changed-didnt work at all for us

Only flea treatment our dogs can tolerate by Beste02/04/2014

We have two little white dogs. White dogs are often highly sensitive and allergic. When we ran out of top spot we used another brand one month. As a result it cost of hundreds of dollars in Vet bill's and one poor baby had a terrible raw spot on her back for weeks. If I can't buy Top Spot, we will not use a flea treatment at all.

wonderful by Karen06/11/2008

Been using this for my dogs for years. Love it, it works

NOT TO HAPPY by Pooh10/30/2011

Was not to happy with the product,My pets are still with flea`s even after being flea washed and treated with frontline...for three weeks

Frontline Top Spot by postalwoman1 from Sacramento, CA11/26/2011

I am guessing they have reduced the effectiveness of this product for the safety of your pet. Was a great product, now just a good product...

frontline top spot is not same as TOP Spot by boston terrier lover from North florida07/26/2012

I thought this is what I ususally get but I usually get 'top spot' and had no trouble-this was Frontline top spot and used on 2 dogs and first time in years they have live fleas-never again for Frontline..
