My Golden Retriever loves this ball. It's soft enough to catch. It has enough weight to thow or kick far and is very durable. It can be washed and cleaned easily. The ball has a tough cover over neoprene. My Golden doesn't chew up his toys, but if your dog tends to destroy his toys, just keep it playing when you are there. A good water retrieval toy is the dumbell with our without the rope.
