Harper has both intelligence and great dance skills! Harper is one of the most personable and intelligent dogs I've ever known. He seems to understand everything you say to him and really thinks about it. He absolutely LOVES to dance!! Every time my roommate and I play music he jumps right in and starts breaking it down! He can definitely be goofy at times, but isn't everyone? I use the comparison of Harper to Albert Einstein - he's a genius, but can't always function in normal society.
In terms of likes and dislikes, he LOVES to run, be brushed, sit in your lap (even though he's WAY too big!), nap on your feet and keep them warm, ride in the car, chase his tail and learn new tricks! Harper HATES getting in trouble, his Gentle Leader collar, big scary cats, and Rosco - the punk miniature dachshund.
Favorite Tricks include "Sit Pretty", "Dance" and "Army Crawl" and many more!
Harper is a rescue from the local animal control kennel. Apparently an older woman had gotten him as a puppy and just couldn't handle the high energy. I originally spotted him on an internet listing, because I was out of the country studying in Germany at the time, and wanted to get a dog when I got back. The second I saw those ears and that adorable face, I was hooked!! My parents went and checked him out and were nice enough to get him before someone else did! Ever since I've returned we've been inseparable and I couldn't ask for a better best friend!
