Hartz Ultraguard Dog Pads provide your dog with a great place to do their business and give you peace of mind while you are away from home.
The new Flash-Dry technology prevents leaking and tracking to ensure your home is as clean as you left it. It as contains an antimicrobial to eliminate odor causing bacteria to keep your home smelling fresh. Hartz Ultraguard Dog Pads also have a built-in attractant to make sure your pet knows where to "go."
Ensure you designate a specific corner in the house where your Dog will be eliminating. Just like humans, dogs do not like eating and playing where they eliminate. therefore choose a place which has some privacy. Each time your dog show signs of wanting to eliminate, you should take him there during the initial stages of training. Always watch your Dog closely during the initial housebreaking process. Dogs are often very quiet when going potty and can have an accident in no time when not properly observed. Keep your Dog in their crate or exercise pen when you are unable to devote your full attention to them. Do not punish your Dog for having an accident. Hitting, shaking or rubbing your Dog's nose in his mess can be very frightening for your dog and can cause huge setbacks in your training.

I have a rescue Chihuahua who was born with rear leg deformities and had to have surgery as a puppy. Due to that I decided to train her to pads instead of the yard. She is now 3 years old and I have tried nearly every pad on the market, mostly discouraged that they were so thin and leaked. For a while the Out! brand worked well but then I got two packs in a row that leaked.

Too heavily scented by Heather from Dallas, TX01/21/2015
The pads may have worked well, but not for me. They have a perfumed scent that immediately sent my allergies in a dizzy. I wanted to send them back as nothing in the description mentioned any such thing; however, since I had opened the package, that was denied. Next time I'm at our local Humane Society shelter, I'll see if they want them to give to adopters who aren't sensitive to perfumes.
