My cat is 17+ years old and has arthritis in her hips. Since I introduced her to the heated bed she has left it only to eat and go potty. She absolutely loves it. Purchased two of these for our two kitties that live outside, for the most part, year round (Rochester, NY). The beds are set up in the garage and at least one cat is always is in one of the beds; the colder it is outside, the more likely we are to find both cats cuddled up in them. One of the cats is quite large and he is able to snuggle down and fit very comfortably in the bed. Obviously, I do recommend this product!

Compared to other cat baskets, this one is at least an inch and a half less in elevation. Maybe this product is for skinny cats but mine would like to hide from the other cats and me. I have 3 other baskets which are taller.
