Our Leonbergers, giant breed, love these Kongs for chewing and slurping. When they were puppies I filled them with peanut butter or a yogurt/banana/water mixture with added treats and tossed them in the freezer. Great frozen treat for teething puppies. As older pups they love play chase with them. I occasionally stuff and freeze them now.

I have a pitbull mastiff mix that loves to chew up her toys and whatever bones we give her - THANK GOD she does not go after anything else!. Sorry to say but she destroyed this Kong in 1/2 hr. She destroys bones that are supposed to remain intact. So I am still on the hunt to find the toy and/or bone that she won't be able to destroy. I am sure that this Kong is fantastic for another type of dog that does not have such powerful jaws - that is why I gave it 3 stars.
