While I experienced a couple of start up problems such as adjusting the sensor, once it is properly adjusted it works great. I have one cat that is obsessed with the litter robot when it is in operation and continually likes to step on the step to watch - of course this stops the litter robot in its process. but then it continues up again - or one push of the button starts it up again. and imagine no more scooping. what a pleasure. just have to figure out how to keep the bags retained better. i would rate this product a 9.5
I will reevaluate in 6 months to see if another is warranted to replace my other regular box but it is probably a good idea to keep one around just in case of power outage, or other unforeseen event.
this is the one to get - no more disposal boxes, litter trays, you buy the litter robot and just need to replace the filter once in a while. you can use your regular kitchen garbage bags so there is no added expense of buying something special for this.
