This was a really good purchase. Our dog loves to chew on the ropes and the bone itself is durable, yet it bends and gives a little when they chew, so it works great for teething puppies! It's soothing to their hurting gums. Only downside is our dog loves to untie the knots, but I just tie them back on and it became an endless toy for her...at least until she was through with teething. This is not a toy for dogs with adult teeth. After our dog had her adult teeth, it was no trouble for her to tear pieces off of it. Fortunately, though, she didn't swallow them, just left them laying on the carpet for me to clean up. I tossed the toy at this point, but when she was a teething puppy, it was a great toy for her. She really like it.

This little bone was damaged within an hour of play--the end that holds the little ties is easily bitten off-dangerous for a dog. My dog is only 10 pounds.
