A nutritional supplement for dogs to support joint and connective tissue functions. The three forms of glucosamine, N-Acetyl Glucosamine, Glucosamine Hydrochloride, and Glucosamine Sulfate are naturally occurring substrates used by the body for the biosynthesis of special macromolecules called glycoproteins, glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), and proteoglycans. Glucosamines are part of the structural elements in cell walls, intercellular spaces, and connective tissues. Glucosamines give shape, elasticity and rigidity to such tissues as cartilage, tendons, ligaments, intervertebral discs, and mucous membranes. Glucosamine Sulfate and Glucosamine Hydrochloride help glycosaminoglycans to hold more water thereby increasing joint flexibility, cushioning ability and resiliency. N-Acetyl glucosamine is produced from Glucosamine in the body and supports proper functioning of the digestive tract lining. All three forms of Glucosamine are considered important nutritional factors.
Note: For Dogs the mineral levels in Multi-Source Glucosamine™ are too high for cats. Our Single-Source Glucosamine™ is recommended for cats.
Each capsule provides 250 mg Glucosamine HCl, 175 mg Glucosamine Sulfate, 75 mg N-Acetyl Glucosamine, 25 mg Magnesium, 75 mg Potassium, 50 mg Calcium, 3 mg Equisetum Arvense.
Ingredients: D-Glucosamine HCl, D-Glucosamine Sulfate, N-Acetyl D-Glucosamine, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Potassium Sulfate, Calcium Ascorbate, Magnesium Sulfate, Equisetum Arvense (source of Silicon), Sodium Chloride.
As a dietary supplement, give orally or break capsule open and mix with food. For doses of more than one capsule, divide between AM and PM.
Suggested Use:
Up to 25 lbs: one capsule per day for 4-6 weeks. Drop back to one capsule every other day or 1/2 capsule daily for maintenance.
26-50 lbs: two capsules daily for 4-6 weeks. Drop back to one capsule daily for maintenance.
51-100 lbs: three capsules daily for 4-6 weeks. Drop back to one capsule twice daily for maintenance.
Over 100 lbs: four capsules daily for 4-6 weeks. Drop back to two or three capsules daily as needed for maintenance.
