Mycodex 3X pyrethrin pet shampoo kills fleas, ticks and lice on dogs, and fleas on cats. Contains 0.15% Pyrethrins. Cleans and restores luster to coat. For best results, allow lather to remain in contact with skin for 5 minutes before rinsing. Contains emollients and may be used weekly or semi-weekly as needed. Do not use on lactating or very young animals
This has been my all time favorite shampoo for my beloved dog. She is a golden retriever and handles this shampoo great (their skin is sensitive). Her coat is beautiful after each use and it leaves her tick free. She can go a whole month before her next shampoo.

Before using the Mycodex shampoo, I found a tick on my dog and dropped it into a mixed down solution of the shampoo. Within 20 seconds the tick stopped moving.
It works.
