I bought my QuietFlow for my 30 gallon a couple days ago and am shocked at how noisy it is. The motor noise is very loud compared to my old filter I had. It is a more powerful filter than my last one so maybe that has something to do with it but I've tried everything to get it to be more quiet. It's just a constant motor grinding noise and since it's in the living room it's impossible to watch TV. I'm taking it back tomorrow and getting a different one. I wouldn't recommend this filter just because of that.
