Be careful by RTHDVM from Novato, California09/18/2012
This product can participate in causing bone deformities; be careful and check with your veterinarian before use. It is not for all bone conditions. Dogs on a balanced diet should not need it, and it could help cause hip dysplasia, panosteitis, calcinosis circumscripta, and hypertrophic osteodystrophy. Balanced diets have all the calcium needed for normal bone health, and over-supplementation is not a good thing. I am a small animal DVM in practice for many years.
