PetLac Powder for Kittens is a milk substitute for kittens that don't have access to a gestating mother or kittens that are weaning.

The supplement is also ideal for relieving some of the burden of nursing from post-natal cats. The powder includes a variety of nutrients and microorganisms to promote health in kittens. Among its benefits is that it makes for a great source of protein for growing cats that need protein in abundance.

PetLac Powder for Kittens contains only the highest nutritional valued milk proteins. This means that it also contains no soy proteins or other elements which may upset your kittens stomach or be difficult to digest. It's also easy to use requiring only that you mix with water and use a feeding bottle. The powder comes in two sizes, this 10.5 oz size and a 5 lb size. Order PetLac Powder for your kittens today!

    Usage Information

    Mixing Directions fo PetLac:
Mix one tablespoon powder with two tablespoons warm water to make approximately 2-1/3 tablespoons (7 teaspoons/35ml) of liquid. This amount will feed a 4 oz (115 g) kitten for approximately 1 day.

    Feeding Directions
If possible, all kittens should receive colostrums by nursing on their mother for the first several days. Weighing kittens at the beginning and every 3 days will help to determine the amount that should be fed. Bottle fed kittens should be fed 1 teaspoon (5ml) per 4 ounces (115g) body weight every 3-4 hours. Feeding amounts and frequency vary according to individual needs. Smaller and weaker kittens may need increased feeding frequency. As kittens become older, the feeding frequency may be decreased and the amount per feeding increased. At 4 to 6 weeks, you may begin offering reconstituted PetLac Kitten in a shallow bowl for the kittens to lap. Do not discontinue bottle feeding until the kittens are eating well on their own.
Weaned Kittens: Feed 1 teaspoon (2g) of PetLac Kitten powder per 5 lvs (2.2 kg) of body weight daily mixed in regular food. Pregnant and Lactating Females: Feed 2 teaspoons (4 g) of PetLac Kitten powder per 5 lbs (2.2 kg) of body weight daily mixed in regular food. Consult your veterinarian for additional advice.

Great for adult cats too by Chris02/14/2014

I buy this for my 20 year old calico to give her extra nutrition as she is a light eater. She loves it and seems to tolerate it well.
