Praziquantel
An effective and gentle treatment for praziquantel-susceptible disease of fish:
Tapeworm
Flatworm
Flukes
When used as directed MICROBE-LIFT/Praziquantel will not harm biological filtration.
Ingredients:
Praziquantel and an inert carrier.
Directions:
For treatment of praziquantel-susceptible disease conditions in aquarium and ornamental pond fish. As a bath: Start the bath treatment with as large a partial water change as possible in the aquarium or pond to be treated, or start with new water that has been properly conditioned to remove ammonia, chlorine and chloramines. Do not stop filtration, but remove activated carbon and stop foam-fractionation ("protein skimming"). Add MICROBE-LIFT/Praziquantel at the rate of 1 teaspoonful per 20 gallons (70 L) of water. This produces a concentration of 2.5 mg/L, of the active ingredient, in the treated water. Mix the dosage with a small amount of water to produce a slurry; distribute the slurry around the edge of the pond or pour into the aquarium or pond filter to achieve rapid distribution. Re-dose the water on a daily basis, with partial water changes before each re-dosing. Treat for 5 to 7 days. Do not mix or use with any other drugs or disease treatments.
Cautions & Contraindications
Do not use with permanganate-based treatments. Do not use with any other medications or treatments.
