Prozyme Plus is an all-natural digestive enzyme supplement for dogs and cats that enhances the amount of nutrients your pet gains from their food.
Many pet foods contain nutrients that become chemically trapped after being processed to extend shelf life, and will simply pass through your pet's digestive system.
The blend of plant enzymes featured in Prozyme Plus' unique formula unlock the trapped nutrients and enhance metabolic absorption. Your pet will gain those additional nutrients including protein, carbohydrates and essential fatty acids. Prozyme Plus releases the nutrients in the small intestine, where metabolic absorption takes place.
There are no vitamins or minerals in Prozyme Plus that might upset the balance of pet food nutrition or create the risk of harmful, excessive vitamin supplementation. Prozyme Plus is also safe to use with prescribed medication as it does not get absorbed into the blood stream. Prozyme Plus is lactose free, which helps animals with sensitive digestive systems.
This product is a must for older pets! by Regina H.01/14/2014
Like humans, as animals age, they tend to produce fewer of their own digestive enzymes. Commercial pet foods are hard to digest. It's best to soak kibble in hot (pre-boiling) water for 10 minutes, then add cool water until lukewarm (and soupy), and add digestive enzymes just before serving. You can then automatically feed 25% less food, because it will be better absorbed, and your pet will produce a lower stool volume. Less waste! It also frees up the body's own digestive enzymes for their secondary function of supporting the animal's immune system. In between meals, the enzymes are released into the system to digest foreign proteins and pathogens, like viruses and bacteria, and even cancer cells. From middle-age to senior years, pets need digestive enzymes, and Prozyme Plus, made in a rice starch base, works for animals that are lactose intolerant (most), while the regular Prozyme product (made in a milk-sugar base) is fine for animals that can tolerate lactose. I love these products and have used both of them for about 20 years, for both cats and dogs, in both commercial and home-made diets.

I'm using the Prozyme Supplement on the advice of my veterinarian to help with the digestion of kibble. Have used it since I've had my new rescue dog (1 month) and all is well. No side effects noted. Solid stools, great energy and no gas. Yippee!

I have used this product for many
years on my multiple cats and my few dogs. It does a great job of enabling the absorption of nutrients from a quality food source. My old cats look healthy until their natural end.
