Each Packet Contains: L-carnitine 250 mg
L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid which plays a vital role in the metabolism of fat. Its a nutrient that helps the body turn fat into energy by functioning as a transporter of fatty acids into the mitochondria, the metabolic furnace of the cell.

Carnitine it is produced primarily in the liver and kidneys from the amino acids lysine or methionine and stored in the skeletal muscles, heart, brain, and sperm.. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is essential to the synthesis of carnitine. During growth or pregnancy the requiremnt of carnitine might exceed its natural production.

Usually, the body can make all the carnitine it needs. Some pets, however, may be deficient in carnitine because their bodies cannot make enough carnitine or transport it into tissues so it can be used. Some other conditions, such as heart disease, can also cause insufficient carnitine in the body.

Carnitine has been proposed as a treatment for many conditions because it helps reduce oxidative stress.
