I rescued an old Akita who was flagged for euthanasia, not to be put up for adoption because he was so old and sick. He was emaciated, fairly hairless from his shoulders back, his gait extremely unstable. When he tried to lift his leg he would fall over and he frequently stumbled. His walking endurance was not more than ten minutes before he was down to a snails pace. I had him on a good grain free diet and hand fed him three or four times a day. His red blood cell count was down to 28 with 34 being low normal. His immune system was extremely impaired. He also had a cyst on his back that was about four inches long and three inches wide. We checked his red cell count several times in the first two months I had him but it never went above 32. I read about Re-Borne about two months after I had him and ordered two of the smaller bottles. It was recommended he start out at 30cc daily for two weeks and then drop him to ten for another two weeks and either terminate treatment or continue for maintenance. About two weeks after I started treatment the cyst on his back disappeared, his hair which was still sparse grew in thickly, a beautiful creamy red, his stability noticeably improved and he was able to walk for over 30 minutes at a decent pace. I noticed his eyes also looked clearer. His red cell count hit 34. A planned neutering and aspiration of his tumor which no longer existed was cancelled as I felt at his age it was too risky just for a neuter. When my vet saw him she was amazed. She said "I didn't believe you when you told me over the phone his cyst was gone. I can't find a sign of it anywhere." So Suki's health seems much improved and if he gets much friskier I may have to consider neutering him. At any rate he now has a good quality of life to live out his days and I am very happy and enjoying him immensely.

Great For My Aged War Horse by twohorsetown from Hartland, Michigan11/14/2013
My 30 year old retired show hunter was having problems with his digestion to the point that his tail was a half frozen mess last winter. I wound up braiding and bagging it so I would not have to deal with trying to wash it in Michigan's winter months (brrrr). After putting him on Re-Borne he now has normal "horse apples" and is perky and pleased. It seemed to jump-start his old-horse-digestive track.
I would recommend it to anyone who has a horse with a similar problem - explore other reasons that may cause the problem - but putting him on Re-Borne will give him a boost and possibly solve the problem.
