Spectra Sure IGR for Cats of All Weights

Using the same proven flea control ingredients as Frontline Plus, Spectra Sure IGR provides effective control of flea, tick and chewing lice infestations. Fipronil is capable of attacking adult fleas and ticks on contact, while (S)-Methoprene halts fleas from passing the egg and larvae stages of life.

Full Pest Protection

Using the dual action of Fipronil and (S)-methoprene IGR (insect growth regulator), Spectra Sure will effectively break the flea life cycle. This formula will kill adult fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae and prevent the development of pupae for up to three months. Not only effective against fleas, Spectra Sure also controls mites, ticks and chewing lice.

The importance of controlling pests goes beyond relieving a nuisance, it may also help to prevent infections. Mites may cause sarcoptic mange, while ticks have been linked to the transmission of Lyme disease. Fleas may also be a source of flea allergy dermatitis.

Safe Protection

Spectra Sure is safe to use on kittens over 8 weeks of age including those that may be breeding, pregnant or lactating. This resilient formula remains effective after bathing and exposure to water and sunlight.

Directions for Use

1. Remove product tubes from the package.

2. Separate one tube from the others. Holding the tube with notched end pointing up and away from the face and body, cut off the narrow end at the notches with scissors.

How to apply

1. Invert tube over dog and use open end to part dog's hair.

2. Apply contents of one tube of Spectra Sure IGR as a spot between the shoulder blades. Squeeze tube firmly to apply all of the solution to the cat's skin.

Frequency of Use

Use Spectra Sure IGR monthly for complete control of flea, ticks and chewing lice infestations. Studies show that Spectra Sure IGR kills adult fleas for up to 6 weeks. Apply monthly if your cat is at high risk for flea reinfestation. Apply monthly to control ticks and chewing lice. Spectra Sure IGR remains effective, even after bathing, water immersion, or exposure to sunlight. Allow treated area to dry thoroughly. Do not reapply for 30 days.

Cautions

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
Do not allow children to apply product. To prevent harm to you and your cat, read entire label before each use. Follow all directions and precautionary statements carefully. For external use on cats only. Do not use on rabbits. Do not use on other animals.

Do not use on kittens under 8 weeks of age. Do not split one tube between dogs. Do not use multiple tubes on one cat. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, or medicated cats. Can be used on breeding, pregnant, or lactating cats. Consult a veterinarian before using on dogs with known organ dysfunction. Cats may experience some temporary irritation at the sire of product application. Certain medications can interact with pesticides. Sensitivities may occur after using any pesticide product on cats. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your cat with a mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately.

Fipronil

Fipronil seeps into the cells of adult fleas and ticks and blocks chlorine molecules from passing through. This causes paralysis of the insect leads to its death, and can be spread from one to another.

(S)-Methoprene

Methoprene kills flea eggs and larvae by interrupting normal levels of growth hormone which prevents juvenile fleas from growing and molting.

Harmful if swallowed. Causes eye irritation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.

Harmful to Domestic Animals

For external use only. Do not use on kittens under 8 weeks of age. Individual sensitivities, while rare, may occur after using any pesticide product. Some dogs may experience temporary startle effects when any product is applied. Cats may experience some temporary irritation at the site of product application. If signs persist, or become more severe within a few days of application, consult a veterinarian immediately. If your cat has an unusual reaction to the initial application, consult a veterinarian before repeating treatment. Certain medications can interact with pesticides. Consult a veterinarian before using on medicated, debilitated or aged cats.
