Someone coming to your door may not be a big deal to you, but for your dog, who feels your safety is of utmost importance, it can bring about stress. There are things that bring stress into your dog’s life every day that you may not give much thought to. These can include traffic, fireworks, travel, changes in environment, even a visit to a groomer. As humans, we may see these as easily understandable events of day to day life, but for some dogs, these changes can lead to stress and misbehavior.
Whether you have a traditionally hyperactive dog or not, there are times when you know your pet can use a calming influence. That’s where TranQuil Tabs for Dogs can help. TranQuill Tabs for Dogs is an all-natural way to help you, and your pet, get through stressful situations. Maybe it’s an anticipated holiday with visiting friends or family, or maybe it’s a not so anticipated thunderstorm. TranQuill for Dogs can be that calming influence.
If you’ve ever wished you could just calm down your dog a notch or wanted to help them calmly get through a road trip, TranQuill Tabs for Dogs can be your solution.
Dosage: 20 lbs and Under 1 tablet daily or as needed. Over 20 lbs. 2 tablets daily or as needed.
It truly makes them calmer. It works the best if you can give it before the event, which is sometimes difficult with thunderstorms. If you know there is going to be one and give it 30 minutes to an hour before.

Definite Improvement in my Merlin by dragondee11/25/2012
I have a 7 yr old collie mix that I rescued 6 yrs ago. Was told he was housebroken and he basically was, until I left the house. Seems he has a case of separation anxiety and to show me how he feels, he would piddle wherever he could! Spank with the newspaper, no, rub his nose in it, no, nothing worked. Then I bought Tranquil Tabs. He still has an accident every once in awhile but for the most part this product has worked fantastically.
by from 09/24/2012
I bought these tabs for a rescued rambunctious, stranger-aggressive Jack Russell Terrier mix with the hope that they'd take the edge off her anxiety in being exposed to new people. Within an hour of my having given her HALF a tablet, she became quite ill - vomiting and diarrhea. She trembled and seemed confused for some time afterward.

Finally something that works by Laurel from Scarborough, Maine11/06/2012
I have a very nervous, anxious dog and have tried many products to help her stay a little calmer during stressful times. We have tried a Thundeshirt, Rescue Remedy, Melatonin - all with no real improvement. I tried Tranquil-Tabs on the advice of a friend and thought it helped more than anything else we tried. I'm not saying she totally stopped being anxious, but she does appear a little more mellow and not quite as quick to react to the usual triggers.

TranQuil-Tabs by towser06/15/2010
What a great product. Our 14 year old female dog was having major anxiety issues at night when it was time to sleep. She would scream for hours and throw herself against the doors. Nothing we tried would help. We were besides ourselves. Ordered TranQuil-Tabs and it she was totally quiet and has been every night since! She looks forward to getting her one tablet per night before bedtime. What a lifesaver!!!!
Does not work by Parker's mom03/11/2012
Three years ago my springer fell off my bed straight on his nose, compressing the discs in his neck. At 12 years old, he can only shuffle along now, and if he falls down he can't get back up without help. Because of this he suffers from anxiety. At night if he wakes up and realizes I am not with him, he barks and cries continuously until I come downstairs and sleep on the couch. I was hoping these pills would help him not be so anxious and would help him sleep. No such luck! This product definitely does not work and I would not recommend it.

Great pills by Twila07/20/2012
This stuff is amazing. The first time to give it too our golden was 4th of July and two pills was all it took and he was calm and chewed on a bone the whole time. I reccomend giving at least 1 hour before if possible.
Tranquil Tabs by wenda06/09/2014
Calms without over drugging effects. Subtle effects. I find it takes the edge off during thunderstorms without making him too sedate. I like that its a natural herbal product. Each pill contains 100mg. of valerian plus other herbs like camomile and no other unnecessary junk! Haven't found anything else that works this effectively and it doesn't seem to stay in his system for an inappropriate amount of time.

I actually bought these for a friend of mine who's large dog has frequent unexplained panic attacks at home. He starts panting, drooling and trembling for no apparent reason, Sometimes a loud noise will set him off, but often there is nothing obvoius. They can last minutes or an hour or so. My friend tells me that these tabs have definitely helped him. Therefore, I would have to recommend them.
Fantastic by Wen from Bronx, NY11/17/2011
My Cocker Spaniel suffers from mild separation anxiety and I've been trying to find something to calm him down without resorting to chemical medication. TranQuil tabs have done the job amazingly well. Now I can go to work without worrying about Rumble howling and barking at 6 am and disturbing my neighbors.
TranQuil-Tabs by Merry01/05/2013
It works so well I can't believe it!!!! My English Springer Spaniel is crazy with energy, I'm unable to walk her so she's on her own in the backyard, but she usually wants me there. I couldn't take a nap if she didn't have these Tabs to calm her down. Otherwise she barks at every car that goes by & wants in & out in & out in & out in & out
I'm too ill to keep up with her
Just Didn't Work For My Dogs by Fran from Durham, NC07/25/2011
I purchased this product a few months ago, along with my other items, and it just didn't seem to have any real impact on my three small terriers' fear of thunderstorms. The ingredients sound very healthy, but in terms of calming, I didn't see the proof.

My 14 year old border collie lab mix has developed sundowners syndrome. She paces and paces endlessly once it gets dark. I tried vet prescribed Xanax, I tried the anxiety wrap shirt, nothing worked for more than a night or two.
TranQuil-Tabs seems to really help. I give her the pills with her dinner and again late at night if she seems to be anxious. She is sleeping through the night, and finally, so am I..

I bought TranQuil Tabs for Dogs from EntirelyPets.com and my 55 lb dog broke out in a sever case of hives! For a little over 24 hours, I was having to give her one 25 mg of Benedryl every 2 hours to calm her hives. She was running a very hot temperature and I was extremely disturbed by her hive break out.
I first gave the supplement to my dog in August of 2011. She broke out in a red rash and thought TranQuil Tabs might have been the cause. I tried TranQuil Tabs again last week and her reaction was extreme. She was covered in dozens of hives. I followed the instructions indicated on the bottle and was frightened with her reaction.
Here are photos that I took:

I have a very nervous terrier who has a problem
with taking trips in the car. I ordered TranQuil Tabs, he thinks it is a treat, and it worked so good. He just found a place curled up and fell asleep.
Before TranQuil he would move around and pant.
Then he wanted out of the car. These will always be on my shelf. Thank you Entirely Pets.

WORKS GREAT! by Doodles from Pearblossom, California05/26/2012
I just have to share how great this product is. We have 2 Golden Labs. They get separation anxiety. Our male Lab jumps on the doors and gets real hyper. I gave them each 2 tablets. Within 10 minutes, they have calmed down and are now laying down. They are not groggy from the effects of prescription pills. I will definitely buy more when these run out. Our male Lab loves sticks!
They do help! by Canine Grandma from North Kingsville, OH07/29/2013
I actually think these help Alice calm down when a storm is approaching! We still need to give her the prescription for the thunder, but these tablets help her before the actual storm. Alice can pace for hours when she senses a storm coming!
Great Natural Calming Aid! by Bodie&Tigger from California08/26/2010
This product helps my dogs relax in stressful situations. Bodie needs help during fireworks season, and these pills calm her right down (along with some training of course). Tigger is more excitable, and these pills help keep him calmer when meeting new dogs, hiking near wildlife, and greeting visitors. I like the TranQuil tabs because they do not change the dogs' personalities, except for making them calmer and a little sleepy. They have no side effects. And they work pretty quickly (about 10-15 minutes). I highly recommend them for helping dogs through stressful situations.
high anxiety dog calmer by warped34302/23/2013
I have four large dogs. One is a Great Pyronese and the other three are 1/2 GP and 1/2 yellow lab. One of the 1/2-n-1/2's is high strung, anxious and somewhat aggressive. The first week I gave her 2 2x's a day and it seems to work and then she adjusted to it. So I started giving her 3 2x's a day and she is much calmer and less needy. But she still goes crazy when someone comes over. But since peeps rarely come that wasn't our biggest issue as we could always put her in her kennel when someone came over; it's the times when we're at home and she was driving us crazy with all her anxiety issues. So it iss nice to see her finally relaxing with us and actually sleeping. Sometimes though I do have to give her a bit of melatonin as an extra measure. But this product works way better than aany prescription I have given her, even clomicalm which did nothing for her. Plus the ingrediants are all natural which I like.
Calming Influence by vvickib54 from Vashon Is., WA state02/07/2014
I have an "over-the-top" excitable cocker spaniel who barks a lot and goes crazy barking at other cars when I am driving down the road. I have been giving him Tranquil tabs for several months now, in addition to other "natural" calming products rather than prescription meds. I can't say how much one works better than the other but the combination I'm using has definitely made an improvement in his ability to stay calmer. I give them to his throughout the day. If you decide to try this approach, check the ingredients for each product to avoid too much of anything.

Great Help For A Very Nervous Dog by cvlu03/23/2010
I am the only person to be able to pet, or touch, this dog. He likes people, but just doesn't trust them. He is a rescue dog, so who knows what happened to him in the first 3 months of his life. His stool has improved, from loose to solid in the time we have been using the product. I recommend it highly.
Very Calming by Hound Lover from Huntsville, AL10/14/2013
This supplement effectively calms my bloodhound, who use to be very nervous and jumpy, especially in reaction to noises and new people. He still gets nervous sometimes, but it takes something big - like a thunderstorm or a trip to the vet - to make him anxious, and I'm certain he's less anxious than he would be without the Tranquil Tabs.
Great Product by DL from Almost Heaven West Virginia05/22/2013
Lady is a rescue dog and she becomes very anxious when she hears fireworks, gunshots, thunder, etc. We used to give her Benadryl when thunderstorms were passing through our area and it worked OK but tended to make her very drowsy. I saw the TranQuil-Tabs when I was searching the internet for natural calming supplements or medications and decided to order some after reading reviews on this product. We have had several severe storms this spring and our dog goes from pacing the floor to being able to calm down and relax after she takes the TranQuil-Tabs. This product has made a significant difference in the quality of our dog's life during periods of loud noises and I would highly recommend the TranQuil-Tabs to other dog owners.
Works great by Kira from Hampton VA01/11/2014

Work Well for Storm Anxiety by Nancy C. Dallas05/27/2008
We have seven dogs and one of them in particular has a good deal of anxiety when it storms (or even rains!). I give her a few TranquilTabs ahead of time if I know a storm is coming, or after it has already started. These pills work well to calm her down and make her drowsy, and they seem to be fairly palatable. A few of my dogs don't want to take them (due to the way they smell?), but the others are happy to get them! And it is a relief to me to be able to help them through their anxious times in such an easy and convenient way.
TranQuil Tabs for Dogs by Joyce & Chris05/28/2008
Works great and quick! We have an Akita/Husky mix which we adopted from the pound when he was 3 years old - we weren't really sure of his personality - come to find out - after our first summer season with him - he HATES thunderstorms - other products we tried in the past have not worked. I bought these to try this summer season - so far SOOOOOO good! He goes from panting, high energy pacing, and nervousness - to a much more relaxed state. He also likes the way they taste - so no struggles in getting them into his system.
Tranquilty PIlls by Grace01/17/2008
These pills are great! They're mild and my dog loves to chew them. He takes them very easily back into his kennel box and chews them up. After a few minutes, he stops all that pacing back and forth cause he's bored. I have a high energy Siberian Husky. He gets 4 walks a day but he could go for 4 more. I do not give it to him everyday. I only give it to him when the weather is bad and I can't take him out for all 4 of his walks and he gets a little nutty in the house. They work wonderfully. I definitely suggest people get them for their dogs.
Really working well! by Turtlynne from Aiken SC05/06/2012

This stuff works! by Marilyn06/11/2008
I have 2 dogs that I adopted from a rescue organization. These guys spent most of their lives in a terrible hoarding situation and had lived in constant fear for years. One had never lived in a house before and peed all over my home whenever I was gone. I finally broke down and bought a bottle of this stuff and give one tab to each of them with their breakfast and again with dinner. The peeing has stopped! They both seem much happier and calmer without being sedated ... it just takes the edge off their anxiety. I'm ordering more!
Work Pretty Well by Nancy06/17/2008
A few of my dogs have anxiety with thunder storms (one of them tenses up even if it just rains), so I give them Tranquil Tabs and they help them to settle down and take a nap until the storms over. I have to use more tablets than the directions call for, but these work as well as other much more expensive products I have tried in the past, so it is difficult to complain!

Great Product! by Patty from Northwest OH04/27/2011
Our 5 year old German Shepherd hates thunderstorms and would pace, pant, claw, etc. until the storm was over. We tried this product and it has helped tremendously! The storms no longer bother him and he even sleeps through the nighttime storms!
He's a picky eater and won't eat them as is, so we cover them with whipped cream and he takes them with no problem!
Wonderful Product by Jan09/10/2009
My 96 lb 12 year old dog used to claw at me, shake and pant heavily with eyes bulging whenever there was thunder. He'll still come to my side during a storm, but now he just curls up at my feet and rests comfortably. What a difference! I've also used it on my 6 month old pup when he's overly revved and it mellows him out too.
Works Great by Trina04/21/2009
These tablets helped our jack russell mix when we needed to board him. He gave the lady trouble going back into the kennel and after we started to use the tranquil tabs she no longer has to fight him and he doesn't growl like he use to. We will be ordering more of these since they really do work.

First time to use this product by Cathy A.07/21/2009
I received this product in the mail yesterday just in time to try it as a severe thunderstorm moved through last night. My eldest dog that is normally scared and shaking during such a storm was MUCH more peaceful. The only sign of stress he exhibited during a VERY noisy storm was to cuddle up closer to me. There was no shaking, whining, or panting. I am amazed and very pleased.

TranQuil Tabs by mb1554 from Chicago suburbs01/11/2013
This is a great natural product to have on hand for anxiety and stressful times. I use it for anxiety reactions in our hyper, yet very intellilgent, border collie mix, on those occasions when she will not settle, or prior to trips to the vet. I also use it on our 3 y/o rescue Lab, who came to us with quite a traumatic history, requiring both surgery to correct his injured leg from a motor vehicle accident and heartworm treatment. I am convinced that he has the dog version of PTSD, and becomes anxious on occasion. A gentle, natural remedy that I have recommended to many.
awesome by Carol10/20/2009
I have an American Bulldog that hates fireworks, storms and high winds. This seems to help tremendously. First product I have found that does work. Need larger bottles though. Now if I can just find a toy she can't destroy in 10 minutes.
Really Good Stuff by Linda10/28/2009
One of our german shepherd mixes has a very antsy personality and a lot of things will make her tremble, pace, pant and be very clingy to the point you can't walk without her tripping you. She likes this stuff and will even take it when she's having one of her "panic" attacks. This stuff works. She's much calmer a little while after taking these tablets. I've tried other products but they didn't work and she would never take them if she was already nervous. I agree with another reviewer - need larger bottles.
this didn.t work for my very anxious rescue but I believe it could have helped with increased family involvement .

Helps with thunderstorm phobia by Dogmom from Stokesdale, NC08/13/2013
My dog is absolutely terrified of thunderstorms! His whole body shakes, he breathes heavily, and tries to hide under anything he can find when he hears thunder so I decided to give these a try. They work well if I know the storm is coming and give them to him before it gets bad. They help take the edge off so he is not going ballistic without completely knocking him out. I also use these for my other dog when we travel to help her relax and settle down and they work great for that.

I have a (almost) 10 year old chocolate lab, who has had varying levels of anxiety throughout her years. It started with basic separation anxiety; then she began chewing on herself (to the point her hind legs and rear were raw) :(. Sorry my dog is so picky. He is so afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks and such i thought this product would be perfect, think again! He will not eat them. None of this reflects on what a great company you have i just have a dog that thinks he's a human !!
My cats won't eat this by HChan11/29/2011
I have four cats, only one of which I was really hoping to eat this. However, none of them seem to consider it food. Since the chews are pretty large (for a cat) and you need to break them apart to get a correct dose, it's really not feasible to pill a cat with these when they refuse to eat them. I can't say whether they would work on a cat; I can only say that 4/4 of my cats won't even try them. I bet dogs would be more excited by the smell, but I don't have a dog to test it on.

Does work very well by KimsSporty from Seymour, CT09/15/2010
We adopted a Pitbull Mix that is now 14 months old. Our Blue Heeler Pyrenees Mix is the same age and yet so much more relaxed. These treats calm the Pit down almost immediately when we give him the recommended amount. Its the terrier in him that makes him ansy and this works well for terriers of all sizes. Ive tried the bottled calming aids and they don't work as quickly as these chews do!

This product did not work on my dog. I was so disappointed. It cost $11.00 and I thought it would be worth it if I could calm her down. She is so afraid of storms and the car. Can you help with this? Thank you
Best Calming Aid Ever by Lou Lou from Lodi, CA03/12/2011
I have tryed other calming aids but none work as well as these for my hyper Great Dane. I give them to her at night so that she sleeps better. the price can't be beat, even with shipping Entirelypets has the best price.
We like it! by DeeDeeJewel12/28/2011
I bought this to help my Pomeranian with her first flight. I gave her a total of 4 chews for each flight, each chew staggered about 30-45 minutes apart, the first one about a half hour before we left for the airport. She's not super-hyper, but she does get very nervous with unfamiliar sounds so I wanted something to take the edge off, without drugging her. I did not notice any adverse effects and she napped through most of the 2.5 hour flights. She got a little antsy waiting for our delayed flight, but shortly after another chew, she settled right down.
This product actually works by pugmom4 from San Diego, Ca04/13/2010
I purchased this product for my senior pug who has canine cognitive disorder (canine dementia). We have been using Anipryl and I had to face the fact that it is not working. I have been giving him valium almost every nite because he barks incessantly. I could no longer justify giving him the valium - it did not seem fair. This supplement worked far better than expected. He is calm and quiet but awake. I recommended this product to my friends on FB.
I give 3 treats to my 150 pound Great Dane about 20 mins before I have people over or any situation he has anxiety. They really work well. Seems to be the only thing that works for him to stop his whining & relax him.

There musst ba an ingredient in this product that my pup does not like. She loves treats, however, she has turned her nose up the couple of times I have tried to give them to her.
Not so sure by Jewels321 from West Chester, OH11/19/2012
For the price, this is worth a shot. For us, I've noticed little difference. You give a half hour before the stressful event, in our case "leaving the house", and it's suppose to take the edge off. Our dog has severe separation anxiety and hates her crate, barks like crazy. Probably needs to see a vet, but if your dog/cat has a mild case, this may help you. I think our dog's anxiety is too much for something like this but I was hoping for a small miracle I think. Still worth a shot, like I said. Good luck to you!

calming a Jack Rissell by dmq1945 from Hamden,Conn.11/07/2012
I adopted a very traumatized and injured dog. She had been on the streets for 2 years and when finally brought to the hospital she was operated on and had a long recovery ahead of her. I also own a Jack Russell, I ordered the Quiet Moments for him. I couldn't have him jumping all over the place with her so ill. They worked just enough to keep him quiet so that I could tend to my sick dog. I highly recommend them, if they can calm a Jack Russell they can calm any dog.
My adoptee healed well and she is now "mothering" my J.R. The Quiet Moments were great.
These work great! by Daladog Mom03/18/2013
My dog has to spend the day outside. She has a spacious pen with an overhang and plenty of room to play with get sister Chloe. She's a happy girl but seems to suffer from anxiety. I give her 4 of these chews in the morning and she stays quiet all day. I have tried DAP (pheromones) and other calming aids but nothing works like these. I'm so glad I found them!
These appear to work by In Virginia03/05/2013
These appear to work but after about two weeks it was like my dog was on to me. He would take the treat then spit it out - like "augh she is drugging me." I stopped giving them to him for a few days and while he is always a bit neurotic after being gone for only 15 minutes he was out of control. My other dogs will eat them (but they don't need them). I have to wrap in a pill pocket for him to eat these now. I am going to try composure.
high stressed dog by ditto12 from holyoke, ma07/28/2013
i had to go see a behaviorist for our rescue dog, - he had issues of barking, etc, and our hose when it being on.. and our leaving the house, he would get into all kinds of problems. We went and saw the behaviorist, and she recommended this collar which we purchased from her. It did a world of good, not just for us, for the dog! i recommend it highly and give it five stars, it has to be changed every 30 days and until the dog finally gets used to the surroundings of a new home, if they are rescue dogs...

Helped with Separation Anxiety by Bridgit from Okinawa, Japan03/08/2014
I have a 1 year & 5 month old Golden Retriever Okinawa mix. Since he is a rescue who before had hardly any human contact, he now has separation anxiety. When I leave him home alone, he chews up the house. He is crate trained, but if I crate him when I leave, he excessively salivates and barks continuously. He would also hide from me when he knew that I would be leaving. Other reviews I read about this collar said that it worked for their dog in about 3 days. This did not work for my dog until the 10th day, when I left him home alone (out of his crate) for two hours and came home to nothing chewed up! The 11th day, I left for three hours and also came home to nothing chewed up. He also has stopped hiding from me when he knows that I am leaving. Instead, he goes straight into his crate or into the spare bedroom where he is confined - without me even telling him to! I am very happy with the results of this collar, because before wearing it, my dog would chew things up in my home in the first 10-15 minutes after I left. This collar has helped not only my dog, but me also. Separation anxiety is a very hard thing to deal with and I am so thankful to have found something that relieves his stress. I will definitely be ordering more of these!

Great for Travel by metrogirl from Gold Coast, Australia01/19/2012
I got the DAP collar for my dog when we relocated interstate and we travelled by car to our new home. The journey took six days to complete and as we use the DAP diffuser at home we thought what are we going to do when we are in the car for six hours a day? So the DAP collar was the answer, and it does work. My baby was calm, relaxed and happy to be travelling such great distances and the road trip went off without a hitch. It gave me peace of mind too that he was OK. I can highly recommend it. Also for Australians, purchase it from EntirelyPets as the cost is very inexpensive (even with International postage) in comparison to buying from your local Vet. I was quoted $99.50 for "one" collar....eek.

Very disappointed in the Adaptil D.A.P. Collar by runninwyld from Hannibal, NY09/04/2014
I ordered this collar to try to calm my son's beagle enough to train her to simple commands. It seemed to calm her for about a day and a half. Then she was back to her wild, unruly self again. I am finally having some luck with basics without any aids of any kind. I feel this collar was a waste of money that I couldn't really afford on my SS check.

Works Better than I thought it would by newton from Hackettstown, NJ12/29/2011
My dog is older and is losing her sight. She was barking excessively because she seemed to want assurance that she was not alone. We put the collar on her and it really seemed to calm her. She still barks but not as long or as often and seems content more than before. Very pleased with purchase and will order again. The only problem is the clip that the collars is drawn through. It could be improved for ease of use. This really is a minor problem.

I bought this collar to see if it would help a senior dog stop panting, not have accidents while we were away and at nighttime, and to help her to settle down at night. After a week, there was no difference. The vet decided to try 2 antibiotics to see if there was an undetected infection she obtained after getting her teeth cleaned (the issues started after the procedure). The panting stopped after 2 days, but not being able to settle down and accidents have been pretty much the same.

Hoped that this would be a calming influence on a bit of an over sensitive high strung little dog. I found it to be ineffective after having her wear it for two weeks. Wish I could have seen even a small claming influence. Time to try to find another product that might produce any results.
I was beautifully surprised by how well this worked for my little girl. She is a rescue and we are not sure about her past but she has suffered from anxiety for a long time (she has been with us for over 3 years). Using the DAP collar in combination with exercise and continuous socialization and training, she has relaxed significantly. This is not a "miracle product" but her anxiety has significantly improved since she began wearing it.

Maybe a solution to eaten furniture by joanbohnert from Frostburg, MD12/12/2011
The jury needs to still be out as we have used only one DAP collar on our furniture chewer so far, and it is time to change to a new one. We will be away for holidays this time, so the second one will be a good test. Morgan is now almost ten and was three when he strayed to us. So far the DAP collar offers the best hope of coming home to unchewed furniture. Even the DAP diffuser, which we have been using for a year or so, has not been as effective as the collar. I hope the second collar does the trick while we are away.

Adaptil DAP Collar by Paul from Murrieta California07/21/2014
Our pet dog Buster has had the collar on for almost a month now. We've seen a mild change in his demeanor. He's a little bit calmer. We are getting ready to change out the collar. We were hoping to see a drastic change but we guess this collar/pheromone needs more time to get into his system and next week we will be putting a new one on him since the directions say we have to change it every four weeks. After the next collar has been on for a month I will come back and write another review. Sorry I cant recommend the collar right now because we aren't sure if it is actually working.
glad I tried it by mac from southern, CA06/21/2012
The collar seems to work fine. The issue I have is it is very difficult to get on and off. It would be fine if you put it on and just leave it, but my dogs swim almost every day when it's warm and the dog I'm using it on also shows. Both activities require me to remove the collar. Directions say to avoid getting the collar wet. The collar would be even better if it had a different clasp. I have broken a collar in my struggles to remove it. Not happy about that as this product isn't cheap. I'd recommend you try the collar if needed.

Just a warning by jo03/28/2012
After moving in with my fiance my dog was experiencing extreme anxiety when being left alone. She's a rescue and has always had some anxiety but I was out of ideas on this one. My vet recommended this product. After putting on the collar there was no change in her destructive behavior and barking however she was very lethargic. I was calling the vet almost every day for about 1 week. She still ate as usual but didn't want to play catch and hardly greeted me at the door. She starting limping on her front legs too. I took the collar off and within a few hours she was back to her usual self. I still use the plug-in diffuser. Luckily her anxiety has gone done over time. I did not like the effects this collar had on my dog as she was "drugged" and not her usual self. My dog is 15 lbs and I bought the small collar. I don't know the level of phermones but I think my dog needed a lower dose.

DAP collar - ??? by Carrie Jan12/14/2009
I purchased this collar for my adopted 7 year old whippet. He has to be crated when we are not home and goes crazy in the crate - shaking, drooling, panting. He actually destroyed and broke out of a metal crate and has bent the door on the plastic crate we have him in now. I was hoping that the DAP collar would help calm him while he was in the crate. We kept it on him the full month and noticed no difference at all.

This truly works... by SueW04/22/2008
Used the collars on 2 current dogs, and on a new young adult dog when she was adopted from rescue. Everyone, especially the snippy current dog, mellowed right out and got along well from the start. The rescue dog snuggled in, bonded quickly with me, and quickly became a family member. I've later discovered that she's rather aloof around people she doesn't know, and I think the DAP collar made a very positive difference. Will use the collar again on the rescue dog, since we're involved in dog activities that seem to be making her a little anxious.
Not for all dogs by BJ07/07/2008
My review is negative.... my toy American Eskie went from being calm to driving the family nuts, darting through the house like mad, as well as really scratching hard into our legs begging us to remove it. Shortly after removing the collar, she was ok. We attempted several times to try it again, with same results. We bought it for the 4th of July, started her on it the night prior, but just wasn't able to use it as she tried very hard to remove it, even went into a corner to hide. I'm not sure just what that means with her, but I'm sure it's just one of those things...some meds work for some people and some people are allergic. Go figure. She has returned to her normal happy, playful self, but soon as the collar comes out and she smells it, she runs. We have tried to even set it out in front of her on the floor, no luck, she smells it and runs! LOL Oh well.......
Well worth trying! by K's M08/12/2008
The DAP collar made a huge difference for my dog during our move to a new home. He stopped pacing and settled down as soon as it was on, and as a bonus, he was much less anxious during thunderstorms. It may not work on all dogs, but it's certainly worth a try!
Might not be the collar by for BJ09/14/2008
To BJ, the poster with the dog that freaks out. You didnt mention if you use a collar normally and that could be the problem. My newest dog never wore a collar and we wanted to take her out for a walk and had to use one and she absolutely froze like a statue. She sat in the same position for an hour. We tried and tried to convince her it was ok, but to no avail. We gradually got her used to it though. Maybe for your dog, it is just the collar period, and not the "scented" collar. Just a thought. =)
Great Product! by For Gypsy10/12/2008
My dog's behavior favorably changes when she wears the DAP collar. She's a rescue dog, and new situations can make her very nervous. Wearing the collar now relaxes her when she is around new people and other dogs. She has become less reactive. She even enjoys visiting the vet. The difference has been dramatic.

Can't do without these collars by Mustang from Michigan03/18/2012
Product came quickly and with an expiration date well into the future. Both pups have behavior problems. One anxious, fearful. The other hyper & submissive urination separation anxiety. One had two knee surgeries. They are doing very well using the collars. Helped keep one calm with vet visits and after surgery. Our animal behaviour specialist recommended them & they are really helping. They are well worth the price and it makes their lives happier.
I'm a believer by pnester11/07/2009
The animal behaviorist suggested the collar for my Jack Russell because of her thunderstorm anxiety. It worked beautifully ... she is still somewhat afraid but not nearly so much as before. I noticed that her aggressive behavior calmed down too. When thunderstorm season was over, I quit putting the collars on her and she is much more agressive. I'm buying the collars again and they are going to be a lifetime habit for her. (I used to use the wall diffusers - she would lie down under them any time she was in the house - but the collar is better because it is with her wherever she goes.)

seperation for the first time in his life. I believe due to loss of hearing and some sight, my neighbors were telling me that TIGGER was barking for HOURS each day.I tried leaving toys and treats etc but nothing was keeping him happy. My vet suggested trying the collar and when I shopped online I found the best price with Entirely Pets. The results were almost immediate. No more fear of thunder, lightning or being alone. I tried another brand from a local store which cost less but it had a strong scent and didn't seem to work as well. I will always keep one on hand for my boy.

The collar was recommended by our Vet for our dog Ozzy. He has epilepsy and is on meds but has a bit of hyperactivity. The collar does nothing for him. It hasnt cured it but he is much more relaxed and less prone to the flipping out. Worth a try and at least his SA is more manageable without any drugs.
Unfortunately, this did not work well for our dog.
So far so good by MinniesMom from Pittsburgh, PA08/11/2013
We are in our 10th week using the collar. The vet told us that we would see results in 8 to 10 weeks and we started seeing them closer to 6 weeks! I have a "high-strung" border collie mix that paces a lot and is afraid of storms. Since our 2nd child was born, her anxiety increased and she started licking non-stop and gave herself an acral lick granuloma (sp?). Her licking has definitely decreased and she's calmed down a bit.
Doesn't seem to be working by Schipper09/10/2013
We are trying this for our standard poodle at the suggestion of his behaviorist. Haven't seen anything that indicates it's working for him. Not sure how long we are supposed to give it until we know. Directions say to replace it monthly and at this price, it's going to be too expensive. Can't recommend it at this point.
D.A.P. Collar by mountain guy from Dillon, CO06/11/2013
The collar seemed to calm my Alaskan Malamute within a short period of time. It's only been on for 2 weeks so I'm not sure of the month long effectiveness as advertised. I'm also using the D.A.P. spray in tandem with the collar. I'm happy so far. I would imagine it would be more effective on a short haired breed.
Seems to Have Worked! by SJ from Santa Cruz08/12/2013
My older lab had a tough 4th of July this summer and there were residual pops in the night periodically afterwards. She was so afraid that she would shake and dig and try to hide. While she was still afraid when these noises occurred, she was easier to calm down and reassure. As part of a modification routine, adaptil does seem to help. We also bought the plug in adaptil for all of our dogs when we are out of town.

This collar really works. It has calmed my dog and made her much happy. She is not pacing the house and nervous when the wind blows or hears loud noises. I will continue using this product. I recommend this to anyone who has a dog that is afraid of noise.
Not worth it by Minnie's Mom from Pittsburgh, PA01/27/2014
Recommended from our vet with the instructions to give it at least a month or two to see results. We stuck it out for about six months with very little results. My border collie mix is still very nervous and anxious and I honestly don't think it did a thing for her.
It seems to help. by Patti from Southern CA01/29/2013
I read other reviews and decided to give it a try as there seemed to be mixed reviews. Our vet recommended this collar to help with anxiety related behaviors for our 2 year old terrier mix. After about 2 days of wearing the collar we noticed she is a little bit less anxious. She still jumps up when she gets really anxious but it seems to take more for her to get to that point. We will be traveling on a long road trip and we plan to ensure she has a fresh collar for the trip. If you are on the fence about it, I would say try it to see if it will help. I think the collar has had a positive effect on our anxious little pup.
So far, So good by GSPLover from Glen Gardner, NJ06/25/2012
My German Shorthaired Pointer, 4 years old, who has been properly gun trained, is terrified of fireworks & thunder storms. I was skeptical about one of these collars, and this is the only brand I have used so far, but I definitely see a difference. He is aware of the thunder, looks up and is now sometimes barking at it, but he doesn't shake like he used to. He would pant with his tongue hanging out and shake from head to toe even after we could no longer hear the thunder. Now I notice that he looks up, is aware of the thunder, but doesn't pant or shake. And when he barks/growls at it, I tell him he's a good boy. Not that I want to promote barking behavior, but it seems he has more confidence and the few barks is better than him almost having a heart attack. I would definitely recommend trying it for yourself. I'm sure we've all wasted more money than this on our dogs. Now I wait to see what happens with the fireworks.
Did not do a thing for it. Should have a powder on it but had not. Not sure if the product was faulty

Works for Us! by GJ from Oregon09/19/2013
Our 7 year old Springer Spaniel/Lab has grand mal seizures and is on a large "cocktail" of meds. He also does not like changes when his "pack" is not all together. Our vet recommended the Adptil collar for his use during a time when I was going to be gone for 2 weeks. Twice my husband observed signs that he was going to seize. He started talking to the dog and rubbing the collar - no seizure! We are re-ordering and will keep using it on a regular base to hopefully slow down the frequency of his seizures and help our special guy lead a comfortable life.

Worst item I have ever purchased by Pegleg from Leavenworth, Ks06/18/2012
I have a 4 yr. old Blue Heeler, and he is wound up 24/7 to say the least. I purchased this collar to calm him down during the severe thunder stoms we have here in Kansas. Poo has had the collar on for almost 4 weeks and we have has a few storms in that time, and your colar had ZERO effect on him. He was still a nervous wreck. Buying your collas was a waste of my money......On your rating above it does NOT go low enough...This item is worthless...

They need to redesign the fastener on this collar. And the instructions. I had to tape it together. I guess the phermone worked, but I couldn't keep it on my dog long enough to be sure.
Great Product! by kimdes03/28/2012
Believe we are seeing results after one week! Using both the collar and the diffusser seem to really help my two year old OES with his anxiety issues. We will try the car next week and see if we also get some good results.
Helps Ease Severe Separation Anxiety by PuppyMama08/07/2010
I'm the lucky mama of a 6 month old beagle mix with severe separation anxiety. She starts scratching at the door, crying, barking, and howling within minutes of us leaving the house. We tried kong toys, lots of exercise, low key leaving/greetings, and none of it was making much difference. I bought the DAP collar after reading positive reviews. I wasn't sure how much of an impact the collar was having until I took it off one day when we went to the dog beach to avoid getting it wet. She had gotten to the point where she could stay 10-20 minutes alone without crying or yelping. Well, the day we took the collar off her, she started crying the moment the door shut. I was surprised by her strong reaction and then realized that her collar was off. I put it back on and she was back to her "normal" self. I noticed the same pattern about 4 weeks after we bought it when it needed to be replaced. She showed much more frantic behavior when we would leave, so I replaced the collar and now she is back to herself. While the collar is far from a cure for her, it has taken the "edge off" her anxiety enough that I think with time and patience we will be able to train her to stay alone. I would recommend it to others facing similar problems.

These DAP collars are amazing. Our dog had a severe storm/fireworks phobia and we hadn't found anything to solve this trauma. Our vet tech recommended the DAP collars and they have worked wonders. We leave them on all the time and replace the collar every month. Plan to use these for many, many years to come.

Reformulated Product Concern by Murpher from Indiana03/27/2012
Original D.A.P. collar immediately calmed my Golden Retriever of noises, storms, other dogs and was totally awesome! In the second box of the 3- pk. (month 2) as Entirely Pets informed me, was a newly reformulated D.A.P. collar. It had no effect for a few days, we removed it for a bath, and he has since been lethargic, edgy and appears to be depressed. I'm afraid to put it back on, or leave it off! Loved old formulation, fear new one.
Company doesn't stand behind product by Lexi's mom06/18/2013
I purchased this for my Cocker Spaniel and after 2 days it broke. Called the company and they would not replace it, so we super glued it back together and it seems to be holding. Seems to work okay, but I am not sure I would recommend the product because the company does not stand behind the product. Cheap construction!

DAP by JERSEY07/25/2012
This is a great product for dogs to use on a daily basis. It usually keeps them calm during stressful situations, like storms and when your family moves. I will say that when I first received the product from DAP, it was solid black and worked a lot better. It now comes in grey and says ADAPTIL on it. I don't think it works as well. But overall, I think it is a great product. We even use the diffusers that plug in the outlets.
works wonders by resqchick from Vacaville, CA07/31/2013
My dog has been suffering from anxiety for years. We have tried everything including numerous drugs which I hate using and only knock my dog out. She has a tremendous fear of noises fireworks, thunder and even birds outside. She has severe anxiety attacks and has not had a single one since she has been wearing the DAP collar. I realize not everything works the same on every dog but this is definately worth trying. For a complete review and video go to my FaceBook page at WagZone Pet Care.

When our (then) puppy's behaviorist recommended these to us we were frankly quite skeptical. I am happy to say we were wrong! He has severe separation anxiety disorder, and these collars have made a huge difference in his overall anxiety level. It's obvious from his behavior when it is wearing off, but what we find really amazing is that when we get the new package out he is all over us! We can barely open it and cut it to size because he's climbing all over me, licking my hands and face - we're afraid we're going to accidentally snip his snout in the process.

These are the best for assisting a neurotic dog calm. I first used them to help a recently rescued Sheltie settle into his new home. He had been constantly shaking and experiencing GI issues due to his new stress. The DAP collar and plug in kept near his crate helped tremendously. Now my second Sheltie is using these collars in addition to Prozac to help with his fear and anxiety issues he has recently acquired. The medication and the DAP collar work well together and the fears are subsiding. I recommend these collars to others when asked while at the neighborhood dog park. Two others are now using them also with improvement in their dogs' fears also.

Wouldn't be without them by Taz02/04/2014
One dog has submissive urination and is super hyper and nervous. This collar calms her down and the submissive urination is much better. Also I put it on her when she goes to the groomer and I spray some of the spray on a blanket and put it in the car when we go to calm her down there. The behavior specialist we went to with both of our dogs recommended the collars. The other dog is a little testy sometimes and it seems to mellow her out. If they calm down it is easier for them to learn and build confidence and the confidence clears up a lot of behavior problems. Don't give up on dogs/cats with behavior problems, it takes a little work but it is worth it.

Adaptil Collar by Pat from Hemet, CA09/27/2013
This collar worked real well for us with the dog we got from the local shelter. He is a corgi mix and is terrified of thunder, gun shots or other loud noises. Once we put the collar on him, it made a big difference in keeping him calm during these happening. He still gets nervous, but at least he no longer hyper-ventilates and tries to bury himself inside you. I recommended to a friend and unfortunetly, it didn't have the same results. So each person has to try it themselves to see if it works.

We thought the collar was helping a little, she did seem a bit better. But even weariing it, she went into full blown panic attacks last week. It was not enough. We don't really know what has set her off. We have added the Adaptil Diffuser and have been playing classical music which has made more of a difference. However, she still does start to wind up and we also have meds from the Vet and a Thundershirt. So far, we feel the Thundershirt has the best effect.

I foster dogs and most are VERY stressed when they come to me. I see such a calming change come over them within a day or two after putting on the DAP collar. I like the collars better then the plugins because they are great for stressful travelers. My last foster dog was being sedated by her owners during thunder storms. I did not have to give her any sedation she just a DAP collar.
In the arsenal for my anxious dog by Laura from Crested Butte, CO11/08/2011
I've been using these on my sweet but very nervous and neurotic, fear aggressive rescue dog for about a year, now. I really believe they keep her calmer. After about a month, I can tell her stress is rising and she needs a new collar. For my dog, the DAP collars have not been miraculous by any means (I wish they were) but in combination with amitriptyline and various behavioral modifications, her anxiety is less extreme and easier to handle. Definitely worth a try.

Calming collars have helped reduce stress and fighting between 2 young female dogs. Use in combination with the atomizer. I have not had a fight-related vet visit since I started using the collars regularly. The effectiveness seems to last about 30 days sometimes less. I would definitely give them a try if your pet has stress/anxiety issues.

Less Tension in the House by alby from Sacramento, CA11/08/2013
The D.A.P. collars have been effective in keeping several of my American Cocker Spaniels calmer. Of the 5 I have, 3 wear the collars always. I believe it makes them feel calmer and it seems to make them respond more quickly when I ask something of them. They are only effective for about 3 weeks for me and I can tell when the period is ending because a couple of the dogs get edgier. I'm so glad I found these. I also use an Adaptil diffuser in my living room where all but one of the dogs spend most of their time.
Calming Miracle by relieved owner08/24/2014
This collar has been saving grace for our rescue dog. We got him two months ago after he was taken from an abusive home where he spent his first year of life. He is a nervous character prone to aggression in uncertain circumstances. The vet tech recommended the product to us.The collar transforms him. I am not kidding. As we neared the end of the 30 days, at days 25 and 26, suddenly he was lurching again and trying to strike. I decided to replace collar and within hours that behavior stopped. In our case, we will replace every 21-24 days rather than 30.

Consistent calming assistance by 2 Lab Mom06/04/2014
My 10 yo Lab is afraid of anything that remotely sounds like thunder or gun shots. I use a number of methods for reducing anxiety, but he has been wearing these collars for a few years now and they are the BEST for consistent calming and taking the "edge" off. He was refusing to leave the house for walks or rides due to anxiety. The collars are on him, helping at all times. They do take a few days to have a full effect, but consistent wearing definitely helps.

Calm At Last by Shadow's Mom from WA06/23/2010
Our dog was so anxious we had tried everything - obedience classes, behaviorist, and medication which caused her to have seizures. My husband couldn't stand it and really wanted the dog gone. I had even contacted a rescue group. THEN my vet asked if I have heard of D.A.P. collars. She had heard about them from another vet, but had never seen them and couldn't say anything else. The other vet had said a family had great success with them. MAKE THAT TWO FAMILIES. Now our dog is calmer, doesn't bark all the time and gets along with our other pets. When she does start barking excessively,I know that it's time to change the collar. We now have that interval marked on the calendar. The collar is effective for a month. My husband now thinks she is the sweetest dog ever. D.A.P. saved the dog.

My vet recommended the Adaptil products when my Lab had some real issues with a Golden puppy that we adopted. Since I have 3 dogs, it was recommended each have a collar. I can honestly say, the Lab, while still somewhat jealous, is much calmer, the Golden puppy much less upset when crated, and my older Golden with the chronic anxiety has definately become calmer. Used in combination with the spray, it has made life much easier and less stressful in our house.

The clasp on the collar was cheap and broke almost immediately. I drilled a couple holes through it and tied it back together but it stretched to the point that it was no longer snug enough. I am not sure if the formula works or not, perhaps the sprays might work, I just don't know.
May work for others by penelopepitstop from Indianapolis, IN01/18/2012
We bought the collar for our Corgi/Doxie mix. We have been using the spray and it was somewhat helpful. The only problem we have with her is she gets nervous in the car. We are RVers and travel a great deal. We adopted her at 5 yrs of age and do not know her history. The collar might work if she did not have such a thick coat at her neck. It made a little difference at first. She quiets down after about 10 minutes with the spray on a soft collar.

Good Purchase. Our Suzy is a Shepherd/Chow and high strung. In addition, she will not settle down when there is a storm. She has a tendency to follow us from room to room. With the D.A.P. collar, she is able to relax more-still doesn't like storms but will lie still next to someone till it is over. It doesn't make her slow or lethargic, but just helps to relieve her tension. She is still very active. I recommend the collar to relax your four legged friend.

When we adopted our Blain he was so fearful and full of anxiety we had to carry him into the house everytime he was out. He was afraid of shadows, noises and basically everything. He hid in the bedroom. We thought he would get better with time, he didn't. Our vet recomended the DAP collar and after a couple weeks he showed improvement. Now after a number of months he is a new dog. He runs in and out of the house on his own and is in the living room doing just that ....living. Love the DAP collar, definately worth the money.

I'm happy with the way this product performed. What I am not happy about is how difficult it is to get off once you put it on. The instructions say it shouldn't get wet. My dogs swim almost everyday in the summer, and like to play in the hose when the pool isn't available. The part that holds the collar to the clasp is pretty flimsy. It breaks when I applied enough force to remove the collar. I would like to recommend to the manufacturer they consider making the collar easier to take on and off. The other reason the collar needed to be removed is my dog is involved in agility. Collars must be removed to run. Besides for the difficulty with the off/on part, I liked how it worked.

I used the collar on a "broken" dog. I did not notice any difference in his level of anxiety. Might work on a less broken dog though.
DAP Schmap by Betswick from Alexandrian, VA02/15/2012
My dog has not calmed down at all. He's had the collar on for 10 - 14 days. He is an anxiety eater and has cost us thousands in vet bills and operations. In fact he ate a tissue this morning that he stole from a trash can as I was getting ready to leave for work. Back to the Hannibal Lechter mask..............

The new DAP collar is simply not as effective as the original. My dog's behavior is spotty. She is calm one moment and stressed out the next.

Brings peace back to the household! by LuvCockers from Sugar Land, TX11/05/2012
Initially skeptical about the effectiveness of these collars, I decided to try them. With 7 dogs at the house, feeding time can get a little 'ramped up'! One dog in particular, Lucky, is especially fond of his food and impatient while we prepare all the different bowls. Oftentimes he would charge the other dogs while waiting, be very vocal, and create 'drama' twice daily at this time.
We purchased the collars, and within a few days, noticed a 'calmness' about him, and about the household in general. We can definitely tell when he's nearing the end of the month, and choose to replace the collar at the 3 week mark. Since we've done this, for the past 6 months, 'scuffles' have been kept to a minimum and the household is much more calm and manageable overall.
THANK YOU for making a difference for all 7 of my beloved dogs (through ONE of them wearing the collar), and for keeping the energy of the house at an acceptable level!
Work well ? by onewomanink from Crockett,CA11/08/2013
The collars seem to work well, but my Smooth-Coated Collie, who is my Service Dog of 7.5 years and who is now 9 yrs. old, has only recently become afraid of the noises in our apartment building, and I don't see too much improvement. He has always been the most chill dog, but even with the collar, he jumps up each time someone opens their mailbox, or a door opens and closes. It upsets me because he is so unhappy now. But I might try the wall unit spray in conjunction with the collars.
Did not work at all by Re Re from Stevenson Ranch, California06/18/2013
Although I tried the collar on my dog, Maggie May, for two weeks, I saw absolutely no improvement in her behavior. For that reason I mailed the collars back today. Oh well, it was worth a try!
Dap Collars by Diane11/13/2008
These collars have allowed me to keep both of my dogs. They became aggressive to each other and the collars have calmed them down and they are now friends again. I will never allow them to go without them.
Amazing results! by Viki12/04/2008
I had been having trouble with my new dog for over a year and a half with night time urination in the house. I tried several different methodologies to stop this, but to no avail. My vet suggested the DAP collar and the results were immediate! His anxiety at not finding me at night were calmed and I've had no problems since!

We got a new dog, Tigger, who turns out to be highly excitable. When he plays with our other dog Bodie, he becomes hyper-excited, & starts yipping at her & dive-bombing her, & if we didn't intervene, he wouldn't let her stop playing. The DAP collar makes it so he plays nicely with her. I can really tell the difference when the collar wears out & it's time for a new one!

There was a marked and positive change in our dog's behavior within minutes of putting on the collar. She seems happier, more confident, more playful. She is noticeably less aggressive in the situations where aggression had been her standard (inappropriate) response.
Calming Effect by Dana10/28/2009
I first purchased this collar just before July 4th for both of my dogs. Kona stressed out in the car, and Sammy suffers from anxiety from hard rain, thunder, lightning & fireworks. The collar did not help Kona, but OMGosh what a blessing for Sammy. This collar helps Sammy cope with all the loud noises that used to make him crazy. He's now calm and laid back. This collar definitely works for Sammy.
very good product by laura01/21/2012
my vet recommended d.a.p. collar for my dog's noise sensitivity and, while this isn't a miracle cure, it definitely makes a difference. it started working gradually but when it stopped working after 4 or 5 weeks (as it is supposed to), i noticed the difference immediately, so i got her a new one. now i keep a constant supply. i'm combining this with counter-conditioning and desensitization, so i hope she'll get to a point at which she won't need it anymore. in the meantime, though, this is definitely worth the money and i absolutely recommend it!
Amazing by Magic12/01/2009
My lab mix has been getting progressively more anxious with thunderstorms and now the certain noises (the oven, the A/C turning on). I've tried natural remedies, and clomipramine, with only very moderate success. She continued to chew through doors, door handles, chairs etc. With the collar there's been a marked improvement in her behavior. Now she's more relaxed and less stressed - even less aggressive to other dogs. After the first collar, I didn't renew it because thunderstorm season had passed, and now I'm buying more because she's back to her stressed ways. I think it really works.

One of my dogs is afraid of everyone...barks when people come over and runs away...yet w/us he is the most lovable animal.....it was sad to watch him want to join in but his fear held him back. We now give him Pro-Quiet before the company arrives, when everyone comes at first he is a little overwhelmed but then actually joins in.......love this product!

The jury is out on this one. I have tried many things to help calm my dog, Bobby McGee, but he is still fearful and expresses it in aggression. Of course, Bobby cannot tell me what's going on inside his little head so I can't be sure of its effect, but there is little observable difference.

Surprise, I think it works! by LizfromNJ from Little Falls, NJ06/17/2013
To be honest I was skeptical at first. This product was recommended to us by an animal behaviorist for one of our kittys that likes to torment another. The pills are very large so I cut them in half then quarters. I gave our little Meadow a quarter of a tablet and I really think it made her nicely mellow. I know my babies very well and I saw a difference not long after she took it. I will keep using.

This is the first pill I have tried for anxiety. I have an older dog who has always had bad anxiety and separation issue. With her recent seizures I've been on the search for something to help. This product definitely took the edge off and has helped with most issues. I have added in a calming collar with lavendar and chamomile pheromones that has helped with the anxiety at feeding time as well. Overall this is a great product. No side effects and no trouble administering it.

helpful for anxiety by Pamela04/18/2013
Since my older dog passed away, my younger dog has been much more anxious and clingy. The ProQuiet has given her a little more calm energy. She enjoys eating the tablet, and I feel better about leaving her to go out while she is crunching on a biscuit. I have also given a smaller dose to my cat when we had a visiting dog that was upsetting her.
This REALLY works for my dog! by k9crazy from Capital District, NY06/01/2012
My 10 yr old rat terrier started waking up in the night and not only wanting to go out but wasn't finding it easy to fall back to sleep. My holistic vet recommended this product. WORKS GREAT! Do give it twice a day everyday and do finish a whole bottle before deciding if it's working -- it takes awhile to kick in. Solved my ratboy's problems -- he sleeps soundly all night again and is NOT "dopey" on this product!
ProQuiet is very helpful. by Chris from Chester, NY05/14/2013
I have been using this with my dogs for over a year. One dog is my nervous Nellie, and I give her ProQuiet as an extra calming agent (She is on L-theanine daily.). I use ProQuiet for my other dog when we go to training class and hospital visits. It doesn't sedate them or make them "stoned." It just takes the edge off and allows them to relax a bit.

THis formula seems to work well for my 10-month old pup. I give him 1 tablet. which he gobbles up, before I put him in his crate when we go to work. He calms down & shows no anxiety over us leaving. Recommended for anti-anxiety.
Storm Anxiety by Nora L05/06/2008

We give this product to our two dogs before we leave for camping trips. They think they're getting a treat and it keeps them from getting quite so excited in the car. Fireworks by Stephanie G.06/27/2008
People in my neighborhood have already started setting off fireworks, which freaks out our tabby cat. I crumble up 1/2 a tablet and mix it in with a little canned food. She eats in fine and doesn't seem to notice the proquiet. It calms her down and keeps her from climbing the curtains!

I have a six year old large breed dog who was having panic attacks, often when there was no discernible reason for them. I began giving him some GABA each day which helped a lot, but then added the Pro Quiet which helps him assimilate the GABA better and he's been as happy a dog as you'd ever want to see.

Our 15 yr old Jack Russell Terrier started wandering around 2-3 am in the morning. ProQuiet was recommended to us. We couldn't be happier with the product. It has helped immensely and keeps him quiet through night. There were even a few times I did not give him the ProQuiet and noticed he just did not settle down. Within an hour of giving it to him, he quieted down and went to sleep. He also likes the taste of them and he thinks they are a special treat.

I've never written a review, but I have to let anyone who is interested know that ProQuiet has changed my cat's life. He has hyperesthesia, or "twitching tail syndrome" and has been so uncomfortable, with severe seizures, chasing and biting his tail, etc. He has been on prozac and anti-seizure medicine, as prescribed by his vet, but they were only helping lessen the amount of seizures. I decided to try ProQuiet and it has made a huge difference. He rarely twitches or bites his tail, and loves the taste of the tablets. I highly recommend this product!!
Did not help my Adored Sheltie in Any Way by Sheltie Mama from Sylva, NC01/10/2012
I tried this product as opposed to another I had used. My Shetland Sheepdog, Littleman has some anxiety issues, including seperation anxiety. I administered as per the labeling information and his foot chewing also increased. He maintains a high level of anxiety, is very excitable. Now I know exactly how well the other product worked! I have ordered the previous product and have given up on Pro Q. It was totally ineffective for my furry boy!

Just enough to take the edge off by Reani from Oakdale. CT04/23/2012
Our boxer/pit mix has seperation anxiety, and after losing his 2 housemates in the last year, it has become quite magnified. This calms him just enough to be happy, calm and not so bouncy. It does not make him dopey. During storms and extra stressful situation, I also use a thundershirt. The best way to describe it's effect is that it is subtle enough that we do not notice it until we skip a dose.

Really helps my dog with thunderphobia by fostermom1 from NC04/09/2012
Happy Traveler is a godsend when it comes to my dog's thunderphobia. I purchased it locally the first time and the folks at the store suggested opening the capsule and sprinkling the powder on some bread (I've found peanut butter keeps it from becoming a big mess). It gets into his system more quickly and he goes from a shaking, panting mess to a fairly relaxed dog within 30 minutes of being dosed. I highly recommend trying this!

Really like this! by Hatteraskat from Raleigh, NC09/11/2010
I purchased this product for the first time at the beginning of the summer. My 5 year old dog hates to ride in the car. She shivers and pants constantly. I adopted her last year and I'm not really sure why she doesn't like it. I stumbled across this product at Whole Foods and decided to give it a shot. She weighs about 45 lbs so I give her 2 capsules. I realized that in order for it to work efficiently, I need to give it to her about 20-30 minutes before she gets in the car. It seems to work well and she sleeps for most the car ride!

Kudos for Happy Traveler by Mark02/19/2008
I have used this product for four years. It definately calms my dog during fireworks. We began using it for air travel, and though I don't know how effective it is, there are no side effects as with using a perscription drug. My neighbor swears by it for her Golden Retriever during thunder storms.
Zero-not even one star. Opposite of company claims-dog became restless, not calm, and odd. Tried to eat a cloth, and bush leaves, which he has never done-in 10 years. Look at ingredient list-search on web-possible good and bad effects and usefulness of ingredients for dogs has not been proved. Vet said to use this. No more "herbs" for this dog.

Who Knows For Sure! by Susan from Brooklyn, NY01/10/2014
I'm tempted to give this 5 stars just because I think so highly of this line of supplements. However with something like anxiety, I find it more difficult to assess. Unfortunately my dog can't tell me if he feels calmer and less stressed. He was a great car traveler as a young dog but at 16 and now 17 this is no longer the case. When he began to pant continually, I knew we had to address the situation or else kennel him which would have been worse. Now after giving him one of these apparently great tasting pills about an hour before the start of a trip, instead of panting he barks at hourly intervals in protest. This isn't ideal, but certainly a big improvement. So I do have to believe this supplement has helped.

My pooch wasn't in the room with the diffuser long enough for it to work and I admit that's my fault. But my review is based on the fact the diffuser left an "oil" stain above the outlet where it was plugged. I immediately removed the diffuser and washed the wall with a wet Dawn soapy washcloth. It did come off, but I'm not interested in having stains on the wall. I won't be using this product.

We recently adopted a rescued Lab who is a package of fears and insecurities. Having used Feliway for our cats, we were happy there was a similar product for dogs.
Almost immediately after plugging it in, there was a palpable difference in our dog. It didn't calm him down, but it definitely took the edge off his anxiety and allowed us to begin the process of socialization.
We added the collar so the effects could continue outside.

Can't tell a differnce by Jewels321 from West Chester, OH11/19/2012
I've only been using this item a few weeks so maybe it's too soon to say, but I haven't noticed any improvement in our dog with her separation anxiety. I bought a refill to try just to be sure so we'll see. Our shelter dog has severe separation anxiety, probably the kind that warrants a vet visit but we are trying to give her some time. We keep this plugged in right by her crate and we only crate her when we aren't here. She hates her crate and barks like crazy when we put her in there, sometimes for hours. I was hoping to alleviate her stress, if nothing else take the edge off. I've noticed nothing with this product. I've also tried the Thundershirt which has done nothing either but apparently only helps 85% of the time...I guess we are just unlucky. Chewy stress aid treats don't seem to do much either, by the way. Good luck to you!

D.A.P. Worked for US!! by cb from Canton, Ohio04/24/2013
Changed my dogs life. A must have item for us.
She is nervous and has mistakes in the house without it. Will always have it in her room.
This stuff is amazing! by DawgDad08/26/2011
Our seven year-old Siberian suffered from severe anxiety after a recent move into a house with two Siamese casts. We would come downstairs to find urine and feces at the base of the stairs even if he'd been alone for less than 10 minutes. Our trainer recommended Comfort Zone, and it worked the first day we plugged it in! We have now been using this product for four months with 100% satisfaction. Highly recommended.
Waste of money! by Italia30805/08/2013
This product was recommended to me by a friend that swore by it. I honestly have not seen a change in either one of my dogs behavior. Also this product is very expensive, so i feel like i wasted a lot of money on a product that does not live up to its word. I will never recommend this item to anybody!
Adaptil refills by Pooky07/27/2012
I know Comfort Zone DAP to be effective, so that is what I ordered from Entirely Pets. What I received was Adaptil, not Comfort Zone. While this substitution seems to be working, it is not the name brand I wanted and paid for. So beware when ordering from Entirely Pets.
Not what I ordered! by JK from Wisconsin01/17/2013
I ordered Comfort Zone (3 pack diffuser refills) and received Adaptil (3 pack diffuser refills), which were less expensive. The packing slip said that I was given Comfort Zone, so I called several times (and was not able to get through). I emailed and it took almost a week for someone to respond, so I attempted calling again. I talked to a customer service rep who said it was the same product and that I would be refunded the difference. My point, I should have been notified in the first place.
Didn't get the product I ordered by JK02/01/2013
I ordered Comfort Zone (which I've had in the past) and received Adaptil instead (which, according to customer service, is the same thing). Adaptil is cheaper, and have YET to receive a refund of the difference in price. This was almost a month ago.
Miraculous! by Charlie01/23/2013
I am so happy with Comfort Zone diffuser! My dog had such anxiety she chewed all the fur from her backside. Soon after plugging in the diffuser she settled into a state of calm rest and no longer chews! 3 weeks later her fur is back and I can go to the park without being told my dog has a butt fungus or fleas. The pheromone is the smell puppies get from their mother when nursing so if your dog did not nurse this might not work.
Poor substitute for Comfort Zone product by sunshine31697 from Long Island, NY08/10/2013
Giving a poor rating basically because I did order Comfort Zone refills which work great for my abused/rescued puppy but I was sent a different manufacturer's product instead. Needless to say my pup is getting me up at 4:30 in the morning and she is exhausted from expending so much fearful energy by lunchtime. Next time I will pay extra and get what I ordered elsewhere. Buyer's beware.
We have 3 Shih-Tzus and we love this stuff. Although I do think this pack could be even better priced (I think Comfort Zone is outrageously priced to begin with), at the same time I must say this particular refill pack is the best priced refill pack I have seen yet. I live in South Florida and we rely on this product during storm season, which for us is all of summer and fall as well. I am also convinced that fhis product was key to helping our 2 year old accept her 2 new 9 week old sisters. I believe it also helped us with training the two younger ones, in terms of unwanted chewing and aggression. In the beginning we kept the diffusers on all the time but by the time the younger girls were about 2 years old themselves we were able to drastically reduce that. Now we use it only during storm season. I highly recommend the product and so far Entirely Pets continues to have the best price for this refill pack.
Absolutely need this in our house by taminator from Dummerston, VT01/01/2013
We started using the DAP when we got our black lab rescue 6 years ago. He had lived thru Katrina & apparently had been abused. We then adopted a yellow mix who also had been abused. The DAP brings harmony. When it runs out we can tell by the actions of our yellow (clenched jaw & tense). We have had some serious fights between the two when we haven't realized we were out. We have plug ins in 2 rooms & spray available if we run out. Without this we couldn't have the 5 rescue dogs especially the two abused ones. We swear by the product.
Product works by koolkat06/11/2014
We have been using the DAP diffusers for over two months, and they do seem to work. Our dog is a highly strung temperament, and having these diffusers in the house does have a calming effect on her. When the first one ran out, we didn't notice that it was empty. Our dog's behavior caused us to notice it and realize that she was displaying the old crazy personality that we had forgotten about. When we realized that the DAP product was actually working for her, we stocked up on them.
Probably a good thing by MsDog09/09/2014
I use these in my house for a long time and I think they make the dogs feel more calm or happy. Hard to tell, but definitely worth trying.
Really Works by ml from Dallas, TX08/17/2014
My Vet and trainer recommended Comfort Zone DAP diffuser for my miniature Dachshund who was having anger issues because of his anxiety and fear. It seems to help him as well as our second Dachshund. Entirely Pets has the best prices, and the web site is so user friendly. I have a Win-Win situation here. I would keep an open mind and sure would give it a try!
This product is great. It does what it says it will do. Exceptional. I've never written a review, but I am compelled to share with others how wonderful this product is. My cat's anxiety is greatly relieved.

Works Very Well by Sherrie08/06/2009
I have an 11 year old mixed breed shelter rescue who had a lot of trauma in her youth. I adopted her when she was 6 mos. old. As she ages, she is showing extreme anxiety and separation issues at times. Giving her Composure daily has calmed her considerably. I like that it is a nutritional formula. Works very very well. Recommended for dogs that are high strung, seemingly inconsolable, and kind of nuts.
Very Calming by bh03/24/2014
I bought this for my older cat to help calm her and keep her from attacking the new kitten in the house. It has been the most effective thing I have tried so far. She seems to sleep more but she is an old cat with arthritis so not necessarily a bad thing.
Composure Max liquid is good by sarosomo from Trenton, NC05/21/2014
I have a little dog with pancreatitis but nothing made her feel like her old self despite seeing three vets. She is a bit nervous, but not hyper, so I thought I would try the Composure Max to see if maybe her emotional state had anything to do with how she felt. Much to my surprise, within a couple of days she was nearly "normal". Active and happy, able to relax between active periods. Best of all it doesn't sedate and doesn't seem to have any bad side effects.
Didn't work well by Black Jack from Kansas04/12/2014
Got this for a cat and it's not very palatable. The taste is bad! I tried mixing it with some food and after a few bites, no more! I tried a syringe and we just got the frothing of the mouth and nausea. It just didn't work for me, maybe others have had better luck.
Composure by teddyweave from Cape Cod, Ma.03/22/2013
I have been professionally involved in dogs for over 30 years and have been using Composure for about a year on the recommendation of my Holistic Vet. I have a pom that has been diagnosed with "OCD" and anxiety and this is a good safe alternative to prescription medications. I do see a difference in her behavior. Love the product!
nice product by gsdsteph from Oskaloosa, KS03/17/2013
I have a high energy 18 mo old male GSD. It is almost impossible to wear him out! I swear he has ADHD, sometimes leaving his usually gobbled food to check something out! We play hard everday and he gets obedience reminder school at least 3 x a week. Composure liquid takes the "edge off" and helps him complete the first meal of the day but does not intetefere with his energy drive!
Great for destressing my golden by Barb from MANITOBA CANADA01/15/2012
My golden is an obedience dog, he gets over stimulated in dog show environments and ends up having trouble focusing. Composure has helped beyond expectations. He is able to relax and still remain alert and focused on the ring exercises. Composure has made a huge impact on my golden so he can do the sport he loves.
Wished for more by kentfam07/09/2012
The bottle doesn't last too long when you have to give it a teaspoon at a time. Also, the ingredients settle and it needs a lot of shaking. I noticed no more effectiveness than just giving Suntheanine alone.
Composure works great by Bella from St. George, Utah03/22/2014
We purchased Composure at the advice of

not only does it work she loves the taste.
I have recommended it to friends who also have a nervous little dog. It works within 10-15 mins
and she is ready for her nap.
The Best of Care by I DO NOT HAVE A NICKNAME! from Texas04/02/2013
I have given our miniature Schnauzer Virbac's Anxitane S for separation anxiety, fear of thunderstorms, and just to help her get through a doctor's exam without getting so upset. The medication took a few days before I could see a difference in her "attitude". The change is enough that she gets her 1/2 tab each morning, and the other 1/2 tab at night. We do not intend to stop the medication since she has this problem, and we need to deal with it --for her comfort, and our peace of mind.
Great Stress Reducer! by lulu from Vancouver, WA09/04/2014
This is a great alternative to prescription medication for some cats. It calms them and helps some cats that stress easily. We used it on one of our shelter cats who was pulling her hair out because she was hyper. I would definitely recommend that you try it for at least 30 days. It takes a bit of time to take effect.

My Vet recommended this product for my cat, Abbie as she gets nervous when I go on a long trip and she is left behind with the Pet Sitter. Worked great! The pet sitter said Abbie was
much more receptive to her during those 10 days. Abbie has asthma too and it has helped with that also!

My cats get this every time they are going to the vets office, there is a stressful even such as maintenance in the house, or if they are chronically stressy. Has made a HUGE difference in one cat especially who used to hide all the time; now she even asks perfect strangers to pet her.

Virbac Anxitane by Jules from Atlanta, GA11/16/2011
This product has really helped my little Minky!
by from 10/03/2014
Our (behaviorist) veterinarian recommended this for one of our two cats, to replace a no-longer-available prescription medication the cat took because of prior aggression against her feline housemate. So far, Anxitane seems to work at least as well as the prescription to relax her and reduce the incidence of friction between the cats. This is a completely unscientific observation, but since being fully transitioned to Anxitane, she seems more affectionate, playful, and interactive toward her humans, more physically active, and with almost kittenish mannerisms at times (she's 8 or 9 years old). It's possible the relaxation Anxitane promotes has something to do with her behavior, and in any case all changes since going on Anxitane have been positive.

Helpful Product by CC12/15/2011
This product is most helpful for the little ones with anxiety issues. I have tried the generic version of L-Theanine, but in the same dosage such appears to cause some stomach upset. I have not found that to be true of the Virbac Anxitane S.
Takes the edge off by mcswiss from Brooklyn, NY08/05/2014
I have 2 cats that have hierarchy issues so they are constantly at odds with each other. After giving them Anxitane I've noticed they aren't fighting as much and they seem a bit less edgy when they're together. It takes a few days for it to start working and the effects are subtle so you need to be attuned to your cats behavior to notice the difference.

I can not do without these in my household! These are wonderful during the times my kitties are stressed! I have one that likes to pick on the older kitties and this works fantastic! I only use it when kitties act up. It's safe to use. Plus kitty loves the taste and chews them right up. Keep package out of reach from kitties though! I've had one that likes the taste so much, she got the package and ran off with them! I have even recommended them to my friend for her kitty.
Virbac Anxitane by Peggy from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada06/20/2013
I love this stuff. It works. I use it for rescue dogs to help them relax and understand that they are safe and secure. There is no hangover or sedation, just a happy, relaxed dog who understands all is well and they can be themselves.
Big help! by snowbow04/30/2012
Our adopted older cat had a difficult transitioning to our home for the past year..she was abused in a previous home, so has issues when we got her. She spent most of her time hiding. Our vet recommended this, and she is a new cat. She is (somewhat!) social and spends time out in the open now. She loves the taste, so thinks its a treat. Made a difference within days. She is turning into a very sweet kitty, and has even tried to learn how to play.

This product is a good product and helps my high strung westie stay calm without working as a sedative. She isn’t as “barky” with this supplement. However, the service is not good. The wrong product was shipped and I had to call twice to get the correct product shipped at the company’s leisure.

Didn't Work for My Guy by Elizabeth11/30/2012
My cat may be an extreme case: It's been a few years that he has been spraying just outside the box and acting aggressively towards my other cats. (Yes, we've tried everything with the assumption he didn't like the boxes, but we're using Dr. Elsie's and it doesn't matter how clean they are.) A few months ago he also started over-grooming his belly. This product did nothing for him. We tried to go the full two months trial, but we're going to stop a couple of weeks short. That said, since it seems to have helped other cats, maybe he's just not the right one for the product, so give it a try if you need it.
Not perfect, but a lot better by Becky03/31/2014
We rescued a chihuahua/JRT mix a few months ago. He started showing signs of anxiety about a month after we got him and we were at our wit's end because he'd bark whenever we'd leave our place. We tried DAP diffusers and thundershirts, but nothing worked. We were trying to avoid putting him on medication, so this was a last resort. Now that he's been taking this for a few weeks he has improved greatly. He still barks when we leave, but he stops a lot sooner than he used to. So there's been a lot of improvement, but there's still room for him to get better. Hopefully as he stays on it longer, he'll keep getting better! You won't see improvement right away, but don't get discouraged. Keep at it!
Anxitane is great for an Anxious/Aggressive Dog by Renee02/21/2013
This has made a huge difference with our aggressive/reactive, down-right mean, rescued dog. He was on this less than 2 weeks when we noticed, he smiled a lot more and snarled and growled a lot less! We have two rescues, the other one does not have these issues but we put them both on it. No side effects in either dog. However, it only changed the behavior of the scared/aggressive dog. He is much calmer and listens much better now! We tried Remedy Relief and a Calming Aid with no results prior to this.

Virbac Anxitane S by Whispurr02/04/2012
Great for my cat. He is high-strung and needed something to calm him. Tried the homeopathic drops and they helped some, but he needed something just a little stronger. He was chasing the other cats causing anxiety in them. This calms him just enough so that I won't need human medication for him. It's easy to notice when I forgot a dosage.
Definitely Worth Trying by Dog Foster Mom08/05/2012
I have used Anxitane with four foster dogs who were shy/fearful. With all but one dog I did start to see a difference within two weeks. They became more approachable and less skittish. I increased their socialization activity as they became more comfortable. I really think it helped take the edge off and shorten their turnaround time.
Worked for us by emchu from canada07/30/2014
I was one of the lucky customers that this really paid off for. I have a pomeranian/papillon that can be very neurotic and nervous. In the evenings especially, he will bark until someone goes to sit with him in the living room. He gets nervous at the intense music of movies or tv shows, he barks at strangers. Sometimes he just wants alone time away from our other pets.
After one or two uses we noticed a difference. We only needed to use these pills (one a day) for about a week and a half. Now we only use them occasionally.

Taffy is a rescue dog and was found wondering the streets. Therefore, we do not know anything about her past. She is a very sweet dog, but becomes very anxious at fireworks, thunderstorms, and when we leave her alone. I searched the internet and found Anxitane. I started her on the product...1/2 pill twice a day. It really helped. When I did not reorder, she became very anxious again. I reordered the product and after about 3 weeks on the product she became relaxed again. I will definitely keep her on Anxitane.

Really calmed an anxious dog down by sugarsma from Tucson, AZ07/09/2013
When Neili was delivered to our house as a foster, she was a shaking bundle of nerves with a very loud, very high pitched bark. Our rescue's behaviorist suggested Anxitane twice a day, along with not rewarding the undesirable barking. My Vet agreed to a trial. It is now fiv e weeks since we started and she has learned to be much calmer. In addition, her bark has normalized and she is a pleasure to be around. In another two weeks we will try to taper her off. Thank you for making her easy to live with. Foster failure has set in and she is now ours.
I love this product by JLG from Kansas05/22/2013
I have a very anxious Tibetan Terrier who used to wear a Thunder Shirt full time. The veterinary prescription daily anxiety medication just made him more whacky and the as-needed tranquilizer made him too sleepy. With this product he has been able to stop wearing the Thunder Shirt and his barking and general anxiety are so much better. If we forget his dose we can really tell a difference. I love that he is able to be his relaxed, super sweet self without taking prescription medication. I am so glad our vet suggested we try this product.
Makes a HUGE difference!! by JW03/09/2013
I've been using the M&L size Anxitane for a cat for 3 years and have tried decreasing him to the S dosage but he starts spraying again. Anxitane has significantly reduced his spraying and helps him get along better with the other cats. I recommend Anxitane to anyone who is looking for short-term (people visiting the house, vet trips) or long-term (nervous personality, inter-cat squabbles) solutions to behavior issues in dogs and cats. I like that you can use it WITH more standard treatments like prozac or buspar.

I gave this to an agressive bengal cat who was attaching other cats in the household and it worked great. It can be crushed and put in cannned food and is not rejected. I had previously tried to pill him with script from the vet (elivil) it was like trying to pill a pole cat and very bitter, I could not disguise it in anything.

Works for stressed out cat by JVT06/06/2012
Our cat (adopted from abusive situation at age 6) was an emotional mess. Her main way of dealing was chewing her fur to the skin on her back, belly, tail and front legs. The Anxitane has helped her -- she no longer looks like the poster child for mange. Most of her fur has grown in altho' she still has bad days - that will probably always be so.

Very good initially, but tolerance developed fast by Tuffyb from Hartselle, AL01/01/2011
We have seven dogs. One of them is a compulsive groomer (secondary to neglect as a puppy), and she is generally anxious as well.
I have used Anxitane (and another L-theonine preparation) with her in particular. These pills worked very well at first to calm her down at night, when she is most likely to compulsively lick herself. After a few days, however, I had to increase the dose to get the same effect. Now we are up to 3-4 100mg pills per night, but this amount also has stopped working as well, so I have to supplement the Anxitane with Benadryl and/or herbal relaxants. In my other dogs, who do not have generalized anxiety, a low dose works very well, usually, to help them rest better at night (or during thunderstorms).

Finally, a working solution! by bmdlover from Citrus County, Florida09/30/2013
We live in central Florida, which for many is the thunderstorm capitol of the country. We have a rescue Bernese Mountain dog, and she is very reactive to signs of an approaching storm. We have tried many solutions with no improvement; DAP pheremones, thunder shirt, Bach flower remedies, and several different "relaxing" pills. These have been the best for us. She enjoys the taste, and they really do have a relaxing effect. Granted, each dog and each situation is different. We are just glad to find a solution the works.

I purchased these for nearly two years... I have 5 indoor cats, 3 boys who have been having an issue with who's alfa male... I got these and though they weren't the choice of treats, they ate them. to ensure they each ate their own, I put it in their food at feeding time... and each ate them.
HOWEVER... I purchased 6 packs (as I normally did) in January and they were old... not one cat will eat them... so they sit in my cabinet getting older and now I won't buy them.
Conclusion - great IF they are NOT OLD/STALE !
Great product by Mag08/18/2013
We've been using this product for our 12 year old dog for a couple of years. It eases her anxiety during storms. Can't believe the difference.
Truly stress away by CC from San Diego01/18/2013
I have a highly neurotic dog, he has intrinsic anxiety as well as noise phobia, car phobia and on and on.he is on a dialy dose of a prescription medication that helps some. For the first time I see a calming effect after 2 Stress Away tablets. I am delighted.!
We have not had an occasion to use this product as yet.
Stress Away by rhoridge06/01/2012
This is a fantastic product and my dog has done so well on it; better than on prescription drugs. I've recommended this to friends and they have all been very satisfied with the results.
Our cat wouldn't touch it! by LeAnn from CA04/20/2013
We even cut it up in smaller pieces, but she didn't like the smell of it, so wouldn't even try it.
When I called Entirely Pets to inquire about a refund they were entirely unhelpful. I'll never order anything from them again.

Helps minimize stress by DogTrainer_7 from Chicago, IL04/30/2013
My dog hates it when I leave in the mornings, this helps him relax. Just make sure you order from the company with PLENTY of time - they ship very slowly.
This product is being used to help my dog-who sleeps on the bed-- stay asleep thru the night & not wake us up. It definitely helps!
Composure works by fourpawfarm from Intervale, NH08/26/2013
My BMD is very sound sensitive especially fireworks and thunderstorms. After giving her two of these chews, after about 45 mins. she was significantly more calm and tolerated most of the noise. She wasn't trying to get under things that she didn't fit under or into the bathtub. Seemed to work well for her.
Amazing Product by BorderCrazy from Dallas TX07/30/2014
I can't tell you everything this has done for my noise phobic BC. She is not perfect, but at least is now manageable. I give her one daily, another if a storm is coming in. She is now able to sit with me for storms and survived the 4th of July as if it was not the end of the world. I'm not saying she is not nervous and panting, but she is not mangling herself trying to get out/away.
Takes off the edge by CC09/12/2012
I have a Std. Poodle that has storm & loud noise issues and can be a bit fearful in general. I have noticed a significant improvement in her behavior since starting her on Composure. Plus she likes the treat! Great product- totally recommend.
Great product by Jordan05/29/2012
Give this to my elderly dog who has become thunderphobic and it really helps....usually during the spring time I give them daily to her so I know she is covered if one of those storms pop up.
Composure is a Thunder Wonder by AlanB from Akron, Ohio04/16/2012
Composure works wonders with our 120 pound Germann Shepherd. Thunder and gunshots would cause him untold distress but since we discovered Composure he is able to remain much calmer during these times of stress. Anyone who has a pet that shakes and hides when a storm is approaching (or when the neighbors are practicing their shooting skills) should give Composuer a try. EntirelyPets ships it fast and if it helps your pet as much as mine it will be well worth the cost.
Hyper dogs by Beth from Palm Beach Gardens, FL11/16/2013
Composure is a great for dogs who are hyper, afraid of thunderstorms, etc. I originally bought this from my vet, but the cost with Entirely Pets is so much more reasonable.
Impressive Effectiveness! by dsnicke from Michigan06/11/2012
I'm very impressed with Composure Chews effectiveness for my Pug/Chihuahua dog. I use these for separation anxiety, storms and any other stressful situations. BEST PRODUCT YET that I've tried in the 6 years I've had this dog. It works better than I thought it would.
Seems to work by Sheryl from Washington, DC11/20/2012
It seems to work on making my dogs calmer and control their separation anxiety.

Great Product by Gi04/26/2014
Recommended by our vet as we have a very hyper 10 year old Chocolate Lab. These help calm him on long car rides!
Great Product by Oliver from Richmond,VA05/19/2014
Composure was recommended by my Vet. Oliver is a 2 year old Golden Retriever with tons of energy and a bit of anxiety. This product simply helps him relax a bit. It does not alter his personality, just takes the edge off of his anxiety.
Vetri-Science Composure Bite-Sized Chews (60 Chews by Pat05/29/2014
Our pet has really benefited from this product,
more calm, even when riding in the car.
excellant for thunderstorm anxiety by lissa07/25/2012
My vet recommended these chews for thunderstorm phobia. I've tried the thundershirt, other herbal remedies, and hard core drugs, all to no avail.
This definately helps. My dog is still anxious but he doesn't hide during rain (which he used to do), his shivering and shaking is much abated.
He gets a chew daily as we get a lot of "pop-up" storms with little notice.
Compose Your Pet During Stressful Times by JB from Virginia07/10/2013
Our vet recommended this product for our small dogs when we were going through a move. There were so many changes and much commotion at the time of the actual move, and the following adjustment to a new place. The Composure chews seemed to make the pups much calmer. I did follow the advice to "practice" first by trying out the dosing prior to the stressful event. Once the dogs are riled up, it's too late. Anyway, it really did help us out.
great product by kb from Rhinelander, WI11/05/2013
Our trainer suggested these chews for our Lab...all of sudden he is afraid of thunder and noise in our basement....seems to be working. She suggested giving 1 more than pkg suggested. Will order again.
Composure Bite-Sized Chews by mike from ohio01/01/2013
My very wild 1 year old standard male poodle still plays but is a more "manageable dog when taking these. He also likes the taste and eats them like a treat.
Pleasant surprise by AML from Indiana06/15/2012
Our trainer suggested this product for our very active and anxious Plott hound. We have been using them for about 2 weeks and they seem to help to take the edge off the anxious behaviors so that we can have more effective training time with a more attentive and teachable dog.
Be Calm and Carry On! by dogmom from Augusta. GA02/16/2014
I used this to calm an elder dog with anxiety issues with bad weather or changes. She responded well with her level of anxiety reduced by about 70%. It's helpful without having to use something sedating.
Composure Vitamins by JES06/22/2013
I have used this product for some time with my Lab puppy who has more energy than the Ever Ready bunny. It really does seem to help settle him down a bit. He still has lots of fun, but without getting too wild or carried away. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a dog that is very excitable at the drop of a hat!
Composure Bite-Sized chews by Gina07/30/2013
My mixed breed dog was too anxious and usually retreated to her den in our bedroom rather than hanging out with us and was on constant alert when riding in the car or walking. The anxiety was interfering with her happiness. She is responding well to her Composure supplement and overall is much happier, hanging with us and seeing herself as a family member. She is less anxious across the board.
Noticeable Difference in Both Dogs by jadeyes7 from pa08/13/2014
My dog trainer recommended these calming treats to give to my dog with aggression problems, and to give to both my dogs for separation anxiety issues. She said to always make sure the treats contain thiamine and theanine.calming chews have it as well but these were less expensive. Both dogs recieve them daily and have been calmer and relaxed. When I know they are going to be in stressful situations, you can give them extra treats to calm them.I recommend giving it a try.
Chill pill for pups by Love4Lily from Louisville, KY05/05/2014
My dog had been exhibiting some separation anxiety symptoms and these Composure Bites helped tremendously. She seemed more relaxed and stopped her distructive behavior.
No impact at all by Greg05/30/2014
We've been using the product on a daily basis for about 3 weeks now at the recommended dosage for both of our dogs with absolutely no signs of improvement. We bought the 3 pack so we have enough to increase the dosage...we'll see if that makes any difference.
by shanghai from Puyallup, Wa.06/23/2014
I've been using this product for 3 years and am totally satisfied. I have a St. Bernard that gets them every day and they work great.
Excellent Choice by LindaC from Liberty Hill, Tx12/13/2012
I adopted a lab a year ago who I believe had a pretty rough life. He is afraid of a lot of things, noises, movements, and more. I bought other relaxation products for him, but they did not help. Composure works like a charm! Most of the time I dont even have to give more than the initial dose. I am very impressed with the results! Sorry, no picture to follow as he is afraid of cameras!
Does the job! by Xraytech09/03/2014
I got this for my eight-year-old dachshund mix who had started having separation anxiety issues. I give one to her when I anticipate being gone for a while, and it really helps. She usually takes a nap and is very calm when I get home.
Not sure about this product by jess b05/26/2013
Tested it out by giving it to my dog when he was in a hyper state. I even tripled the dose (within safe recommendations) and while he calmed down, I am not sure what factor contributed to his chilled-out state. (I should define chilled-out state: not jumping, relaxed, laying down. These cookies don't medicate the dog, so he was fine when on command I wanted him to get up and go for a walk). I'll continue to use it because I intend to use the cookies to calm doggy down when he goes to the veterinarian.
Useful Product by Dora08/13/2012
I am using this for a sound sensitive and high-anxiety rescued dog. She is noticably less reactive to distractions and noises when she takes it, but she is still alert, playful, and enjoys her training sessions. She likes the taste, too, which is important because she can be picky about treats when she is stressed.
Composure by Jo07/24/2012
My 13 year old male cat has been fighting with his 11 year old female playmate for the last 10 years. This product has made him a much easier cat to contend with and his playmate has also found this out to be true.

Calms My Neurotic Maltese/Cocker X by keeshondlover from Lavonia, GA06/19/2013

500 Miles in the car, GOOD TRIP. by SueC. from New Jersey09/29/2013
I recently visited a friend in Virginia, I live in Jersey. She had taken in a stray right before my visit. His name is now Willie, Great Pyrenees and Saint Bernard mix. Willie had never lived in a house or travelled in a car. I took him to the vet , for the 500 mile road trip home the vet said to use Composure. It was a great ride home, Willie was relaxed without being knocked out. No nausea or unwanted side affects. I recommend it highly for a calming affect without any side effects..
Works pretty well by MinniesMom from Pittsburgh, PA08/16/2013
We give these to our dog only on occasions when she will have high anxiety, ie: fireworks, storms, repairman in the house. She REALLY loves the taste of them and actually begs for them. They do give her some relief in combination with her adaptil collar for high-stress situations, but she has to take the maximum dosage to get relief. Duringthe month of July we were really going through them because of all of the fireworks, and she seemed to be more at ease than in years past. She still is quite anxious during these situations though.
really works by Suzi from Lima, Ohio07/25/2012
I have a male lab that has a bad anxiety problem when we have storms or when he has to go to the vet. It calms him down and is safe to use. My vet recommended it for him and other dog when she gets stressed.
Excellent by Duncan from Southwestern VA06/24/2013
Duncan is terrified of loud noises like thunderstorms, gun fire, fire works, anything loud. Composure is the greatest! Instead of hiding and panting puddles in the floor & shaking uncontrollably, He sits by me and I rub him and hug him till the storm passes or the noise stops then he can relax.
My granddog has severe storm phobias. Her vet prescribed Ace which totally knocks her out without relieving her anxiety. Composure has made a significant difference.
Worked Like A Charm by Lisa Z.12/04/2012
We tried several different calming products with our nervous dog, but nothing seemed to really help. Giving Composure on a regular basis has helped our dog become more balanced and happier.
Great Product by salex06/06/2014
I bought composure bites because our dog has become nervous at night. He is old and has trouble seeing and hearing. It took a few weeks, but I give him one each night at 9 p.m. and they seem to be helping him. Good product and I will continue to use them.
Best ever by zookeeper from Portland, OR10/09/2013
Used the Composure's on dog guests and has done wonders for them...especially being away from their owners and surroundings....a natural and safe product....it may take more than one but works in taking off the edge. Owner was impressed with the difference and continues to use them for the rescue dog.
I have been giving my small dogs one a day with no results.

Wrong item by PTluv10/15/2013
I asked for Composure bite-size chews. Instead I was sent LaxaCat. A big difference, I would say. So I don't know if my dog would have liked it or not.
by taffymay from Michigan06/15/2013
I first tried this product because it was recommended by my vet. I liked it and found your price was half of what I paid at the vet's. It is about the only medicine that my poodle will eat.

Bad customer service by Sam from New York, NY05/08/2013
I had the worst experience ordering from this place. They sent the incorrect item not once but twice. To this point, I still do not have the correct product and they refused to do anything about it even after submitting photos of what they sent with the invoice. I was insulted in the manner in which they treated me for something they did wrong. Needless to say I returned their products, do not even care about getting a refund at this point, however will never do business with them again and will inform friends and relatives.
Fair results by joelle from Naperville, Illinois05/28/2013
I have a very active and high spirited pure bred corgi at home and tried this product to hopefully calm him down a little and at first he seemed calm but after giving about two or three twice a day I didn't see much improvement. I don't want to give him drugs for calming so I guess I'll just have to live with the way he is.
by Martinscat from Havre de Grace MD12/02/2012
Great for keeping our dog calm during thunderstorms! We use these on day's when he will have to be put into the kennel for an extended period of time and he stopped eating his toy's!
seems to help, but it would probably work better if given sooner before the pups get too panicked
Composure Mini Bite-Sized Chews by teddyweave from Cape Cod, Ma.04/24/2013
I have a pom that has been diagnosed with OCD. I work with a Holistic Vet and I am a Certified Clicker Trainer so I use behavior modification along with a few natural products including Composure as I am careful on what all my dogs get, especially internally. Love the size and convenience as she takes Composure twice daily and when needed. I can take them with me in my training bag and give one to her if need be. Great product, safe and effective!

My Pets Love It by Jerry05/28/2012

Composure chews are a hit! by Tammy from Chandler, AZ11/07/2012
I have two chihuahuas. One sprays in the house and the other is a little timid thing. These chews help balance their anxiety with all the changes that two small children bring and the loss of their dog sister. I recommend these chews. The dogs jump for them!
separation anxiety by trvlgirl1 from Long Island NY03/28/2012
Bought this for my Boston Terrier who has mild separation anxiety. She pees and poos in the kitchen or chews the still being paid for sofa etc. My vet had recommended this product with the hopes it would calm her. So far after using it for a week, I see no different behavior. I have also given it to my Shih Tzu who is inwardly anxious and again, no difference in behavior. I said I would recommend because I feel every dog is different. Unfortunately its back to the drawing board for us. At least they like the Liver flavor.
No effect by Equality6 from Virgin Islands08/11/2013
We have a 14-year-old bichon frise who has always been a little anxious in general. Her anxiety has been gradually getting worse as she has gotten older. All day she tends pace, whine and occasionally bark for no reason. We have had her checked out by the vet to make sure there are no health reasons for the behavior and she is fine. She is pretty spry for an old lady. So, I decided to try some natural remedies to help her relax and bought Composure. I have been giving it to her for almost a month and a half now, sometimes 2 or 3 at a time, and there is absolutely no difference in her anxiety or behavior level. For us, this product was a waste of money, although she does like the taste so I will use up the rest as a treat.
These Actually Work by Foster98 from Cape Coral, FL11/08/2012
When my cats (I currently have 5) get stressed out i give them 1 - 3chews depending on their weight and some sleep and others just get comfy and quietly chill for a few hours. It works on all stressors like going in the car, going to the vet, thunder & lightning storms, when u leave the house for a period of time. So many uses I would use the whole page.
might work by malti from Pittsburgh05/06/2013
my little girl is very afraid of storms, lightning, car rides, and most counter top apliances! Really!
Put on thundershirt and gave her 2 chews...she was wary when the storm hit, but laid in the bed wihtout getting bug-eyed and anxiety breathing. To me that was an improvement. Next will be a car ride wish us luck!
Composure is a big help by macmounts04/16/2012
I have a 4 year old sheltie that came from a "breeder". She was not socialized and was very fearful and easily startled. My vet suggested I try a 30 day trial of Composure. She is much more relaxed around new people and situations. I am very pleased with this product and have reccomended it to my rescue group.

These really work! by TXGrandma from Dallas08/29/2014
My 5 month old has extreme separation anxiety. I give her 1 of these about 20 minutes before I leave and she is not nearly as stressed. I really like these plus does too--she gobbles them like a treat!
excellent product by carebear09/19/2013
This has been the only product that has worked for my anxious cocker spaniel who has epilepsy and gets nervous in certain situations.
This calms her down within 15 minutes of chewing a treat. I give her about 3 treats prior to grooming and she gets through the grooming with little to no problem compared to not giving her anything prior to grooming. May not work for all dogs, but works for mine and will continue to use.
does not work by robyn from minnesota10/23/2012
our intention was to use these to aid in relaxation for grooming our five pound dogs. One of our 5 dogs got 15 of the treats due to our cat assisting in the situation by hitting it off the table. Fortunately, it did not impact him negatively but at the same time, unfortunately, it did not work whatsoever. One of the other dogs had a couple but it did not take the edge off either one of them to help with grooming.
CALMING DOG CHEWS by franfire from Cartersville Georgia03/19/2013

Not much change by merrychase from Virginia10/23/2012
I fed these to my three dogs hoping they would calm at least one of them but no change in their behavior at all. This may be one of those products that needs to be in their system for a longer time than one packet allows.
Works for a Crazy Collie by Zippy Dog01/26/2013
I've tried many natural products knowing that what works for one dog does not work for another. This one works for my smooth collie who needs it to stay calm & sleep all night.
not worth the money by justme10/23/2012
you would have to make a diet of this --- hyper dogs will eat it like a treat and keep on spinning. It does not calm my dogs in any number of situations. Try obedience training and confidence building through play. That works -- of course it takes your time everyday but--- you wanted the dog, right? this is not a replacement for solid training and a good trust between you and your dog.
Thunderstorm Anxious dog by gordonlady from Sugar Land, Texas11/27/2013
When I know it's going to be a tough weather day, I give one of these to my dog at the beginning of the day. As thunderstorms get closer, I add another chew. She loves the taste and takes them like any treat. And they really do help her deal with her anxiety. She does not get near as worried and many times she will even lay quietly and go to sleep. These chews have been a positive addition to our counterconditioning work.
Doesn't really help by NMPatti from Jemez Springs, NM11/06/2012

good for those picky dogs by Diane from Sidney, Ohio03/02/2013
Dogs love these bone shaped meds. My dogs can't wait until they can eat one.
Not sure how it works but it does work. I have a toy poodle that barks at everything. Sprayed this a couple of times and he has been much calmer when meeting other people and their dogs.
Intero stop by TM01/14/2013
Because there is lavender in the product, I have to be careful where I use it. I'm not sure that the odor has as much to do with the success as the sound. I've had varied results.
The product is fine, however I would not recommend buying it from Entirely Pets since they bombard you with emails after purchase and appear incabable of responding to the "unsubscribe" request.
by from 08/22/2013
I tried this product because my dog, a two year old Corgi was constantly pulling on the leash and was very aggressive toward other dogs, cats and just about anything that moved. I tried yelling, jerking on the leash, stopping and scolding but nothing worked. This product actually worked the first few times, but he soon became used to it and pretty much ignored it. I even tried using a large squirt bottle of water and hitting him with a couple of squirts. I think it works on most dogs but mine is a special case. He is the Alpha dog, the leader of the pack and is taking me for a walk. So unless the dog whisperer is going to help dogs rule.

When first employed, this worked really great! However, it still is going strong and the barking continues! :( The spray has a delightful scent, but seems to make no difference in behavior. We are now back in in training for protective aggression at the front door!
