Royal Canin Urinary SO Morsels in Gravy canned Cat food is recommended for cats with the following conditions: Cats with or at risk of developing feline lower urinary tract disease, Dissolution of pure struvite uroliths, To help prevent struvite urolithiasis, To help prevent calcium oxalate urolithiasis, To help prevent calcium phosphate (brushite) urolithiasis.
Cats often suffer from lower urinary tract disorders that affect the ureter, the bladder or the urethra. One of the most important causes is the development of urinary tract stones, which typically consist of struvite (composed of magnesium, ammonium, and phosphate) or calcium oxalate (composed or calcium and oxalate).

Urine Dilution - Increasing the urine volume simultaneously reduces the saturation of urine with calcium oxalate and struvite, preventing the two major types of urolithiasis.
Idiopathic Cystitis: Clinically proven to reduce the recurrence of clinical signs of feline idiopathic or interstitial cystitis
Natural Preservative - Naturally preserved to ensure freshness and quality.
* Not recommended for: Growing kittens, pregnant or nursing cats, or concurrent with use of urinary acidifiers.

My neutered male cat loves this canned food and he gets no dry food, because of his condition.

My cat has been on Science Diet CD and needed a break so I got this and he loves it and it smells so much better then the CD. Plus it has gravy. I am going to stick with this more and feed the CD less often. It is a bit cheaper then the CD but with shipping it averages out about the same.
