Description

Vetoquinol Zylkene the non-drowsy formula uses alpha-casozepine, a natural ingredient found in cow’s milk, to help balance the stress reactions of dogs and cats safely and with no tranquilizing or sedating effects. Milk-sourced alpha-casozepine is known to promote relaxation in babies, and it works in a similar way for your pet, giving him a sense of comfort and contentment to help him cope with stress or adapt to new situations. It’s perfect for most pet stressors like loud noises, visits to the vet or groomer, as well as unfamiliar people and places. Plus, it’s free of lactose and preservatives, making it ideal for sensitive tummies.

  • The only veterinary supplement formulated with alpha-casozepine, a natural ingredient from cow’s milk with calming properties to help relax cats and dogs.
  • Non-drowsy formula provides a sense of calm and contentment without tranquilizing or sedating your pal.
  • Perfect to use before or during stressful situations, including moving, adapting to new people or new places, traveling, vet visits, and for behavior training.
  • Free of lactose and preservatives, so it’s ideal for pets with sensitive tummies; used by veterinarians and animal behaviorists worldwide.

    Calming pills

Suggested by our vet for our rescued pups. They get very stressed when time for a grooming. This helped relax them but does not put them to sleep. They are 6 and 8 lbs.

    Wonderful Product
    June 30, 2018
I have a recovering feral kitty (NeuBee) and I couldn't get her tamed enough to pet her other than when she ate. I have captured her to become an inside kitty with the other ones I have and that she was used to being with. Since our VET prescribed Zylkene, I'm able to pet and spend more time with her.
    Pros
    • A better relationship with cat

Recently adopted a blind 9 yr old poodle mix and we're looking for a non sedative approach. Our vet told me about Zylkene. So we tried it and after about a week, I noticed he was abit calmer. He also appeared to be less agitated. He still exhibits some anxiety but not as bad as it was before. Because of his blindness I try to challenge him and keep him moving forward and Zylkene seems to help

Did not work miracles, but helped

My experience with my very anxious dog is basically that with zylkene I have a toned-down version of his normal self. Things that before would cause a reaction of a 6 out of 10 are more like a 4. I have definitely noticed a general mellowing effect but it's not like he's a completely different dog. I had him on double dose during our recent move and I saw more effect at that dose. I would say it's worth a try especially if you are doing behavior modification training...it might be enough to get them to focus more - and probably also for a short-term stress period like boarding - I will probably always give this to my dog when I leave town.

Review for Vetoquinol Zylkene 75mg (30 capsules)
    March 26, 2016
My 2 senior kitties have been on it for 3 weeks and have not noticed a change on their yet, I was advised by their doctor to wait 6 weeks before starting to notice a progress. I open the capsules and mix it with can food otherwise they do not like the flavor on dry food.
