If my dog is running beside the bike, she has no choice but to move forward. She did pull the bike over once when I stopped near a cat. Now I pedal a little faster if we pass an animal. Thirty minutes of interval training (jog-sniff-jog-sniff) wears her out as much as a hour walk. Make sure the Walky dog is tightened really well or it will move around. The quick release works really well and the Walkydog makes a great leash during sniff breaks.
