Description

Fish Zole is an antibiotic that is used for parasitic and bacterial infections in fish. It is effective against anaerobic bacteria (bacteria that grow only where there is no oxygen). This fish antibiotic exerts a bactericidal action on gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteria in fish. It is useful for control of some common bacterial diseases in fish, including diseases caused by bacteria such as Aeromonas, Pseudomonas, and Mycobacterial (Gill diseases and Chondrococcus). This fish medication is also used to control diseases caused by parasites, including diseases by organisms such as Cryptocaryon irritans, Ichthyophthirius multifiliis, and Hexamita.

Metronidazole is effective against anaerobic bacteria (bacteria that grow only where there is no oxygen).

Ingredients

Active Ingredients (in each tablet):
Metronidazole 250 mg

Useful Information

Add 1 tablet (250mg) into aquarium for every 10 gallons of water. Repeat 24 hours. It is suggested that a partial water change is made between treatments. While the duration of treatment depends on type and severity of infection, it is recommended that extended medication baths continue for a minimum of 5 days but not more than 10 days. Discontinue treatment if no improvement is noted within 5 days. To remove harmless yellow color, change 20% of water and use charcoal filter until clear.

WARNINGS: For aquarium and ornamental fish only. Not for human use. This product should not be given to fish intended for human consumption. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. In case of accidental overdose, contact a health professional immediately.

STORAGE: Keep container tightly closed and in a cool dry place.

Fish Zole Forte 500mg
Shipping Fish Antibiotics from US to Canada

Antibiotics shipped from the US to Canada without any problems. Went through Canada Customs and paid $66.00 duty on a $450 order. Held for 10 days before Christmas but was release and did make it. I was unable to find anything on the internet indicating it could not be shipped to Canada so I placed the order and it did clear customs. It was a question I had so it may be helpful for anyone else ordering from Canada.
Antibiotics not used or needed yet.

Works for dogs with food sensitivities
Fish Zole was recommended to me by my breeder for my Boston terrier who gets diarrhea/ colitis very easily. It's great to have on hand while trying to figure out food sensitivities since it will help reform loose stool. This has saved me multiple trips to the vet at $80 a visit. You get more in the bottle than you do from the vet. I personally think they just want you to keep coming back to get more money. Buy this instead. It's a great value.

Wonderful product
My 12 week old GS female had a terrible run of the run's, having had GS in the past I was quite aware of there dijestive system, the breeder whom we bought the puppy from recommended Fish Zole, we were spectable cause the product kills bacteria in fish tanks, so we tried it for 2 days and the runs stopped. I would recommend this product. A LIFE SAVER.

Metronidazole is Metronidazole
We compared these to the Rx we have from our Vet. EXACTLY the same size, shape and color! The only difference is the wording on the tablet. Puppies get into things they shouldn't. P**p happens. But, one thing to keep in mind is, if you have Health Insurance for you 4-legged kid (and you SHOULD!), they can take a GI event at an older age, look at multiple prescriptions for "Flagyl" as a pup, and DENY any further coverage for ANY GI issue! As long as you know it's just an occasional bout of soft p**ps from change in diet, stress, eating stupid stuff, you're better using a non-Rx treatment to avoid voiding you Health Insurance. As always, see your Vet if things don't resolve immediately, or you suspect poisoning or blockage. Be smart.
Of course, we haven't needed to use these since we purchased them. Like a toothache stopping when you go to the dentist. Good to have on hand, though.

Treated Giardia in Dog
I used this to treat giardia in my dog, a standard schnauzer. I got dosing information from a vet professional and was able to avoid a costly trip to the vet. After a few days his giardia symptoms cleared and he tolerated the medication well for the full seven day course. I still have enough left over for another round of giardia treatment should he need it.

Same medication as 250 mg Metronidazole tabs
A great medication to keep in the home for minor dog abdominal ailments until I can get them to the vet. The price could be better as it's considered "Fish Zole" and is the generic form of the medication. When my vet gives me a script it's a few dollars at any pharmacy. So the price is a bit inflated but the product is good as is the availability without a script. I order it when I don't have a script as I like to always keep it in the home. Always read on veterinary sites what the dosage by weight of a dog is before using. I had to dose my last litter at 7 weeks for 5 days, had a script but did use the Fish-Zole for my keeper puppy(black in the photo) when her food became too rich for her belly and she re acted up to it on a Sunday. I then had her back to the vet, food changed all is well.

Great medicine for dogs with stomach/bowl issues
The Vet charges a fortune for Flagyl which is the same medicine as Fish Zole. It works great for frequent vomiting and loose stools. I highly recommend it.

I keep this product on hand
As a home Mini Dachshund breeder, I need to keep Fish Zole available as an aid to prevent &/or clear up young puppies with intestinal problems.

Didn't buy for fish
I bought this for turkeys ill with blackhead. It came very fast - fast enough to save them. Now they are gaining weight and happy and sassy. I'm grateful for the source of medication since my vet wouldn't give me any without seeing my turkeys, but he isn't a turkey vet...

Excellent Shipping Service
I needed this product asap for my dying turkey that had blackhead disease (who ended up being too far gone to save) but I gave the product 5 stars because of the superbly excellent shipping service and reasonable price. After tons of researching for the best price + shipping, EntirelyPets won. I had the product shipped overnight from California to Indiana. I assumed (as with every other place on the planet) that "overnight" really meant "within the next couple days." I was wrong. My shipment was here the following morning after placing my order. Now that is what I call excellent service!

Exact same as vet script
My kitty has intestinal flare-ups and after a $150 vet bill, he always sends me home with Metronidazole. This is the same stuff at a much cheaper price. Thanks!

great money saver
Treating 2 households of dogs with giardia (8 dogs total) cost me close to $600 at my vet. He ordered another round of metronidazole, and I purchased a 10 day supply for under $200 from Entirely Pets. Same drug. I am very pleased.

Good for the runs
It works great for the runs. Its the same thing that you get at the vet. So, now you don't need the vet anymore when your pooch as a tummy ache or the runs. It also has a calming effect on the tummy.

Stops diarrhea in dogs
Our breeder told us about Fish Zole for diarrhea in dogs. We tried other solutions provided by the Vet at twice the cost and it didn't work after ten doses. Fish Zole works the first day after two tablets.

Fish Zole
Over the course of the past 6 months we have fought intestinal parasites and what appear to be food allergies in our dog. Very loose BM's and a very uncomfortable dog. With each visit the Vet sent us home with a prescription for Metronidazole -- usually in addition to another drug, The Metronidazole eases the discomfort and intestinal inflammation -- according to the Dr. With each trip my wallet was @ $100 lighter. Fish Zole appears to be identical to the product sold to me by my vet for my dog but costs 75% less. I have seen no difference in my animal's health -- Fish Zole works. EntirelyPets order process was painless and the product arrived promptly. Great service.
