    Is the same product that was just for phosphate and clearer water. I cannot find the original that i purchased with the fluval tank and store associates don't know either, i brought the packaging in with me and it did not say "algae cleaner" on the original packaging. Reviews on Amazon were not good for this, please advise

    Yes it does. The exact directions and warnings for this product are listed below: Directions: Rinse thoroughly before use. Insert the bag flat on top of the Fluval EDGE filter media. Important: After 6-8 weeks the pad will be saturated and may start to release phosphates back into the water. At this stage the pad should be removed and replaced with a fresh one to ensure constant clear water. Made in Belgium.
