First brush animal to remove excess dirt and dust. Moisten (but do not wet to the point of dripping) a soft cloth and rub over the hair. It is best to apply by rubbing against the hair growth. Then spray neck, middle and hind quarters, finishing legs last. For best penetration of spray to the skin, direct spray against the natural lay of the hair. On long-haired dogs, rub your hand against the lay of the hair, spraying the ruffled hair directly behind the hand. Make sure spray thoroughly wets ticks. If necessary, reapply Product at two to three week intervals. Also reapply after animal has been washed or exposed to heavy rain.

For the sake of cleanliness, disposable gloves should be used by the individual performing this cleaning task. Also for the horse's comfort, excessively cold water should be avoided.

Squeeze out a liberal amount of Excalibur® into palm of hand and place up into the horse's sheath. Work the Product well into the folds of the sheath. Allow 3-5 minutes for Excalibur to soften and loosen smegma. Next, gently pull the horse's penis out of the sheath and, using pieces of cotton batting, gently remove the loose smegma. Occasionally, smegma will accumulate in a mass in the \""blind pouch\"" above the opening of the urethra in the end of the horse's penis. This resulting \""bean\"" may become large enough to interfere with urination if not removed. After all presence of smegma has been removed, rinse the horse's sheath and penis as thoroughly as possible with clean water. If a horse will accept it, a gently flowing water hose may be used to flush out the sheath.

This syringe contains sufficient paste to treat one 1,500 lb horse at the recommended dose rate of 91 mcg ivermectin per lb (200 mcg/kg) body weight. Each weight marking on the syringe plunger delivers enough paste to treat 250 lb body weight.

1. While holding plunger, turn the knurled ring on the plunger 1/4 turn to the left and slide it so the side nearest the barrel is at the prescribed weight marking.

2. Lock the ring in place by making a 1/4 turn to the right.

3. Make sure that the horse's mouth contains no feed.

4. Remove the cover from the tip of the syringe.

\n

5. Insert the syringe tip into the horse's mouth at the space between the teeth.

PARASITE CONTROL PROGRAM:

IverCare® (ivermectin) Paste 1.87% effectively controls gastrointestinal nematodes and bots of horses. Regular treatment will reduce the chances of verminous arteritis caused by Strongylus vulgaris.

Swelling and itching reactions after treatment with Ivermectin Paste have occurred in horses carrying heavy infections of neck threadworm microfilariae (Onchocerca sp.). These reactions were most likely the result of microfilariae dying in large numbers. Symptomatic treatment may be advisable. Consult your veterinarian should any such reactions occur. Healing of summer sores involving extensive tissue changes may require other appropriate therapy in conjunction with treatment with Ivermectin Paste. Reinfection, and measures for its prevention, should also be considered. Consult your veterinarian if the condition does not improve. Store at 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F), excursions permitted between 15°C and 30°C (between 59°F and 86°F).
