My dog loves it, but...

My dog loves the iFetch. He gets very excited when he hears the noise it makes before it releases the ball. However, he's not grasping the concept of loading it on his own. He's a pretty smart dog, but we are struggling with the self-loading feature. Instead I bought about 15 extra balls and we just use it to play together. I would recommend it to a friend but with the caveat that training your dog to use it by himself is not as easy as you might think it will be.

This little thing really fires the ball out!
I can't believe how good it actually works.
Our dog is about 45 lbs and very athletic, but if you dog is bigger than a medium I would recommend getting the larger version cause the balls aren't much bigger than golf balls.
Works great and the dog loves it! Very Very Very good purchase!

Good with slight annoyances

My dog LOVES the iFetch. Make sure you're willing to put in the time to train your dog to fetch otherwise you might as well just be throwing the ball yourself. Theres plenty of resources online for that too. You might want to look into getting extra balls too. Despite trying to keep an eagle eye on all of them as I used them I managed to lose one the first day. I also had some weird problems with it not wanting to start all the time, or sometimes freezing up but I put in batteries and have it plugged in and it seems to work okay now.

My dog is 11 lbs. and Iâ€â"¢ve seen the mini version and the bigger one. Iâ€â"¢m confused about which one is best for my size dog?

Hi Tammer, this would be okay for you dog to play with. The only difference with the mini, the regular and the large are the tennis ball that they come with. The mini and the regular both come with 3 mini size tennis balls, the large comes with 3 regular size tennis balls.
