Use the Slicker Brush primarily to remove dead and shedding hair from the soft undercoat of your cat. Regular brushing will prevent matting. Part the hair and brush outwardly, section by section. On hard and curly coated breeds, brush thoroughly with and against the direction of hair growth.

Excellent Slicker Brush

The tines are a bit more closely spaced than other brushes I have used, and that seems to permit this brush to pick up more of the very fine undercoat hairs that keep kitty cooler in this hot weather we're having. As soon as I pick up this brush, kitty is up on my lap, with her paws in the air, asking for some brushing! She loves it!
Plus and Minus Brush

Cats seem to love it and does a great job. The only issue is some of the steel bristles push down into the pad reducing ability to remove hair well. This happened right away and every time I use the brush I have to manually pull half the bristles back out to full length.
