K&H Thermo-Kitty Mat Sage (12.5" x 25")

We had a 8"x8" mat for our elderly cat that finally quit working and I was looking for a replacement. This time of year I could not find much locally and what I did find was Large size. Anyway, finally settled on this. It is a very nice soft mat with convenient removable cover, but it is not 12.5"x 25". The mat is that size, but inside is a long skinny heat mat(6"x 24"). One end seems to heat up better than the other, and it is just too skinny unless your cat sleeps stretched out. It is 6 watts, which is fine, but another review I read on it said that it was 12 or 15 watts.

The mat solved the need for a warm place for my kitties. I had a smaller mat,but found this one fit my large cat ( a Bombay) very well. I was impressed with the plush covering. It is so very soft and dense. The fact it can be zipped off for laundering is a plus, too! I have the mat on my sofa where the cats like to sit. I leave it plugged in so they always have that soft, cozy special place. I discovered that this mat puts out a very nice warmth, that when Arizona has cold (really) temps, assures me that my cats do not suffer from a cooler house. It was 20 degrees a few days ago, 15% humidity. That is cold for my babies. I recommend this mat,one of the best buys that I have made anywhere! Don't hesitate to try it. You and your cats will be very glad you did.

I bought the heating mat for my old kitty who needs a little extra care. It is cushioned and quite long, so will fit a larger cat as well. I removed the foam from her circular bed and set it on top of the mat. She curls up in her bed on the mat and spends the entire winter day there, and some nights as well. I would definitely recommend it.

we replaced a microwave heating disk that was old and lost it's oomph. the kitty is spending a lot of time on the new pad.

this is a great item for a cat that sleeps in a garage, on the porch, or anyplace that is a little cool and not in the sun. beats a heating pad because it's safer for the cat and not always 'on', burning electricity.

My cat loves her new bed and spends a great
deal of time on it. Whenever I look for her, it is
at her heated bed that I look at first. And she is
generally there.

Our 3 heat seeking Burmese love this mat. We had a round bed before and they would push each other around to get into it. This mat now allows all three to enjoy the warmth. Our domestic short hair can now join them.

Our cat will not leave this mat - it was the one thing missing in her life! Tile floors and crawl space under house in colder climate had made her miserable, but now she could care less. She's got her warm spot now.
