Are the fasteners the metal type screws with the round plastic coverings that go on them? It's hard to tell by looking at the picture whether the fasteners are metal and plastic or just plastic. I like that the carrier is one piece with holes for ventilation and a metal door-those are much more secure than the plastic doors etc..

The fasteners are made of plastic and contain no metallic parts- only the grate is metal.
