Yes, all the ingredients we use in our freeze dried treats are human grade.
In our refrigerated kitchen, RAW human grade proteins are cut or blended into our dog and cat treats. Still frozen, they are then placed into our freeze drying chamber. Once in the chamber, temperatures are brought down even further, and ice is gently removed from our human grade proteins through sublimation in a vacuum. This method forces the ice to transition into vapor and water is gently drawn out of our treats. From start to finish, our freeze drying process can take up to 24 hours to complete. Once complete, delicious morsels of pure RAW freeze dried goodness are removed from our chamber and placed into our bags for your pets to enjoy. Our freeze dried treats have all the aroma, texture, nutrients, and freshness locked in that dogs and cats crave and pet parents love.

The nutritional value and palatability of RAW food is preserved with our unique freeze drying process. PureBites jerky treats are made using a delicate air drying process at low temperatures that help preserve fresh RAW whole food without having to add ingredients like salt or glycerin. The resulting whole tender jerky provides a taste dogs love. PureBites mixers and patés are made using a delicate cooking process, whereby our treats are steam treated in our cups or cans to lock in the wholesome freshness of pure meat without adding any preservatives.

- PureBites Jerky treats are sourced in the USA or Canada and gently air dried in Canada.
- PureBites Mixers and Patés are made in Thailand using wild-caught fish and 100% pure proteins like chicken and beef.
