Excel Roundworm De-Worme for Cats are an easy, effective way to rid your cat or kitten of large roundworms (Toxacara canis and Toxascaras leonina). Delicious vanilla liquid is preferred by both cats and kittens, so it's easy to feed directly or in food. Tasty liquid wormer contains 250mg Piperazine base as Piperazine Citrate, per each teaspoon (5 ml). For cats and kittens.

Cats and kittens (6 weeks or older): 1/2 tsp per 5 lbs of body weight.
After initial dose on day one, do not administer again until day 14. On day 14, repeat initial dose. Then administer every 30 days to prevent reinfestation.
Treatment should be given shortly after pet has eaten or with food. Dosage may be fed directly or added to food. For multiple cat households, feed directly to individual pet to ensure proper dosage.
Do not worm a kitten under 6 weeks of age. Never worm a sick cat or kitten. Consult your veterinarian in the diagnosis, treatment and control of parasitism. Not recommended for cats under 2 lbs of body weight. Not recommended for pregnant or nursing females. Cats over 1 year old should have a recent negative heartworm blood test before de-worming.

Good Preventative

Useful for heading off roundworm infestations in my cat. The vanilla scent -- which product marketing says cats like -- isn't a hit with my kitty. I get around that by rubbing a bit of vanilla extract on his muzzle before dosing him with the liquid added to tuna juice.

After giving the dose about a week later I saw a worm again. Is this normal?
