1 Persnickity Cat by lotus from Nevada07/31/2012

We have six cats from 2 to 15 and only one of them snubs her nose at them. The others beg for more. I intend to purchase more soon.

Laxa Cat by Shar01/20/2012

This may not be a review you want to see. While it was nice of Entirely Pets to send the product from their contest, I have to say this is not a product I would buy. I have 7 cats, and when I gave them the product they all sniffed them. Three tried to eat them, but without much sucess. After several attempts 2 gave up. One did manage to break apart 1 piece and eat some of it, but not all. The other 4 cats sniffed and walked away. One did think they were a toy and started batting them around. So from their point of view they didn't like them. From my point of view watching them struggle to chew them, it was like rubber that they just couldn't get through. Sorry to say this is not a product that I would buy or recommend.

Good supplement; use with caution by Mary from Dayton, Ohio03/21/2013

I use this to help my male cat move his bowels when he hasn't been able to go in a couple of days. It works. Since he also has urinary tract issues, I am careful how much I give him - I break the pieces in half and give him only one half-piece a day for a couple of days, then I skip a day or two. My thinking is that the high fiber pulls water into his colon, which is good for helping him move his bowels; but, it also seems like he is not urinating as much. If he has a problem with crystals, it's my understanding that the goal is to flush out his urinary system with lots of water - that's why I am careful about how much of this I use. I do like the product and will continue to use it. He likes it, too.

not a treat by toys from TN10/31/2012

Neither of my cats consider this a treat. They will occasionally eat it mixed in with their food. But I have not seen a hairball since these have been mixed in the food.

LaxaCat by fatotto1201/24/2013

So the "paste" was not appetizing for one of my cats, but LaxaCat is the best product ever. She is always cleaning herself and of course has ton of hairballs, this has helped a ton.

Stops the Midnight Hacking by Pumpkin01/23/2013

kids have stopped hacking up hairballs once they started on it. my boy doesn't like the paste taste, so he thinks of these as treats and inhales them

A Winner! by Little Ms. Kitty05/19/2013

My kitty actually thinks these are a treat and loves them. I throw them up the stairs so he gets exercise while he's also eating something I'm using for him if he needs it which is once in a while. He eats raw but sometimes has a bit of trouble going #2 and this does the trick!

My cat loves it! by JouJou from Allen, TX05/29/2012

My cat sees me get the continue & she wants it. She thinks it is a treat. It seems to be working on the hairball problem.

No more hairballs! by Ocho's mom from Oregon03/06/2013

Yay. Something that actually works. My cat wouldn't touch them at first but I kept offering for a few days and now she gobbles them up immediately. And no more hacking and coughing and spit up hairballs.

Noticeable Improvement by CatLover from SC02/24/2012

My cats are reluctant to try anything new, but they absolutely loved these treats. After a few days of use, I could tell a big improvement with them. They really like the flavor and I can tell a reduction in hairballs.

I have 3 cats and this product really helped

No significant improvement in hair ball removal by Rose from Holland, OH01/25/2012

Even though the cats liked the flavor, I could see no significant difference in using these chews or what I have been using, the gel form in a tube.. Seemed to have better results with the tube, so will go back to that product.

great purchase by taz from oshawa, ontario08/10/2012

I have bought every laxative on the market, but what good is it if the cat won't eat it ... he loves this, so I will buy more

Just so so by TheBullyMomma from Leroy Township, Ohio12/18/2012

I have 2 short haired kittens that just love these and 1 short haired kitten who won't touch them. They don't seem to help with hairballs with the 2 who eat them daily however.

Laxacat by Cat who is picky eater11/11/2012

My cat did not like it at all. My cat prefers food that is not healthy for her. She refused to eat the Laxacat , however, will eat Friskies Hairball Remedy. Please don't go by what my cat refuses to eat. You must try it on your own cat.

Nice Product by JamKirch from Sacramento, CA01/07/2012

With a clan of 3 cats and everyone grooming everyone there is always concern of hairballs. Only one of my cats likes treats and had no issue with these soft chews. The other two cats are a little more picky and need some help. These soft chews are easy to smash and hid in a little wet food. I have been using a maintenance and so far so good.

Great new product with no MESS by Renee12/15/2012

I have always used Laxatone in the tube. Most of my kitties, I don't have a problem giving them the product from the tube. I have one longed haired cat that refuses to take the paste from the tube, so this makes a mess all over her, me and whatever else gets in the way. With these little chews, no mess!!! It's great. She eats them and all my other cats like them too.

cats wont touch it by catmom from Boston, MA06/22/2012

I have 3 cats, only 1 of which I would consider "finicky". But none of them would touch these chews. Won't do much good if they won't eat them. The dog loved 'em though!

My cat won't touch them. by jumpseed from NJ01/19/2013

Great idea but my cat won't touch them, and he laps up the goo-in-a-tube, grocery store kind. Maybe you could crumble them and add to canned food but that would sort of negate the ease of using them.

A Game of Hairball by meercat03/05/2013

The formula seems to work well, but the cat finds some most inconvenient spots in which to deposit the hairballs. I find a complete and not very pleasant change in her toileting habits since using this formula. All the other Greenies products I've given them have brought about wonderful responses, though. Thanks.

my cats go crazy by QaaleeGirl from Seattle10/22/2012

for these yummy treats. They are the perfect size (I always thought regular Greenies were a little bit for my petite cats) and they ADORE them. The ingredients are first rate, and I didn't know they had ones for skin and fur and I am gong to get some of those for my 2 boys who have skin issues. Thanks for the fantastic product! It isn't often than all 5 of my cats like the same thing.

Catnip Hairball Formula by Sue39512/01/2011

After reading all the reviews here, I thought I finally found the answer to this problem. My cats love catnip! BUT.....they don't like this. I was so upset when they both hated it. I wish I could return it, but oh well live and learn.

Natural Herbal Aid by dragnwings from N. Olmsted, Ohio06/07/2012

Overall I am pleased that there is no petroleum products in this item. On the con side it's runny and hard to get the cats to take. I wound up squeezing a bit in their food dish.

My cat hates this by Longtime cat owner06/19/2011

I tried this when I could not find Lax'aire. My cat is used to licking her medicine from my finger and considers it a treat. She tried this once and spent 20 minutes trying to get the taste out of her mouth. I tried again the next day and she got within about 3 feet of me, smelled it, and ran like she does when frightened by thunderstorms.

the best ever by Jim04/01/2009

I have a persian that will not have anything to do with petroleum products, she loves this and comes right to my lap when she sees the tube. Well worth the money

Great product, but change container. by mags from WV04/15/2013

I LOVE this product and highly recommend it. My cat hasn't coughed up a hairball since the first month I started giving him this. The only problem is that the mixture doesn't mix well in this container, and the thicker stuff will come out separately from the thinner stuff. I solved this problem by putting it into a small dish with a lid, and my cat simply licks a little out when I offer it to him. He likes the taste so I never have to push it on him. Great stuff!

Good Remedy for finicky feline by LeLu's Mamma from Bonney Lake, Washington11/19/2011

My kitty would never eat any of the other hairball medicines I tried. They all had petrolatum and malt as ingredients. I almost gave up until I saw this one without either of these ingredients and with catnip instead. LeLu loves catnip, so I gave it a try. She loves it, I have to get more. It seems to do the trick, no gagging hairballs - making both of us purr...

by from 03/01/2011

My cat tried this once and then ran away whenever I tried to give this to her afterward. I think the tuna flavor listed on the ingredient label might be the reason since she doesn't seem to like seafood very much (I always buy food made from chicken instead of fish).

Love these for my picky eater by farmpair511 from Port Angeles, WA07/17/2012

Again, great texture and plenty of "aroma" for my kitty to be excited about these. She can feel spoiled if she gets several thru out the day without getting too many. Has improved the hairball situation to some extent, good quantity in a single order too. This is my second purchase of these in particular and will continue to purchase!

My cats love Barley cat! by Sheila05/31/2009

I have 2 cats, different ages & different breeds. My tabby took a while to like BC, but now looks for it to be included with her soft food, and she loves it.! My Torti immediately feel in love with the BC and both their coats feel just like silk. Great stuff. I will keep this stocked for my pets and order this again!

cats love it by dinah02/13/2013

Both my cats loved this from the first taste. I don't know if it's helping with vomiting or not. But I'm sure it's pretty good for them and they're both on the thin side, so I'm glad they are eating a little more.

Our beasties love this stuff! by DocChic (and cat lover) from San Diego, CA10/29/2011

Multiple times, i have found each of my kitties licking their bowls completely clean because they love their Barley Cat that much. it has been great for their overall health as well as less fleas and random vomiting.

Cats Lose Weight and Love This! by Camryn01/17/2009

My cats have grown to love Barley Cat even more than their actual food; often they'll just lick the green powder off of their dry food and leave the rest of it alone. Since they were all getting fat (no amount of food seemed to satisfy them), this has been a huge step in the right direction. Barley Cat seems to satisfy the vitamin cravings where nothing else could--I tried vitamin pills; supplements; changing foods; everything. I highly recommend this product...though do wish it came in larger amounts. 3 cats go through 3 ounces mighty quickly.

My Catz Love It by UpstateNYQualityGirl05/07/2013

This is a great product for my indoor/outdoor cats, who especially appreciate its "green-y" aspect in the winter months. The rest of the year they enjoy it as a welcome treat (the chicken liver component). Hint: sprinkle just enough for the cat to scarf up at one sitting, on only a small area/few pieces of food, because it will not smell "fresh" after an hour or so.

This Cat Lax works so good, my cat dont like the taste but I rub it on her paw and that makes her lick it off, she gets hairballs and this is the only thing that works for her

Good product! by MrsD. from Erie, Pa10/21/2011

I prefer Cat Lax to the other popular brand called Laxatone. The consistency of Cat Lax is not as thick or as sticky, making it easier to rub onto your kitties paw. It must taste pretty good too, because my 1 kitty will lick it right off my finger; unlike the Laxatone. It works fast & is gentle on their system.

Highly recommend by Ty06/29/2012

Cat Lax saves vet bills! by Grateful mom07/14/2012

My long hair cat had an impacted hairball, $1500 vet bill to remove to save her life. She would not take the over the counter laxatives, or the Vet's Lxxatone product - didn't like the taste. Cat Lax she loves! It doesn't smell bad, more like chocolate malt. Taking this daily helps her either pass the hair through her digestive system, or throw up a hair ball. Either way at least she is able to relieve the hair and not be under anesthesia at the vet, no stress, and saves tons of money int he end. Cat Lax is affordable and works wonders!

Cat Lax hair ball remedy by Rosie from Holland, OH07/27/2012

The Best of them! by Katharina Echt09/03/2008

My cat Mittens loves this particular hairball treatment over the others we have tried! Don't let the good value fool you--your cat will look for you to give this to her/him.

A Qualified Recommendation by Zahra's Mom from Hollywood, CA10/23/2012

Cat likes this stuff and it's the only thing i've been able to get down her so far, that helps her IBS with constipation, most but not all of the time. Oh, and she also has hemorrhoids, which i've read that a cat thus afflicted, can never get rid of. What bothers me is that these oily preparations can cause dependence and also have negative side effects on the digestive system. But what is a mother to do?

Cat thinks this is dessert by maven's servant12/14/2012

My cat has hated all fur ball medicine. Have either had to but a glob in her mouth like giving her a pill (and we all know how cats respond to that!) or put some on her paw which she then wipes off on what ever she can find. So this was a real joy to find! She thinks its dessert - will lick it right off the tube if I let her. Must be the cod liver oil. This is the only product I've found that includes it. Works well too!

Better than other products that do the same thing. by MrsD from PA.01/08/2012

Cat Lax has proven to effective at relieving ocassional constipation; usually overnight. Texture is more pleasing to kitties as well. Not nearly as sticky & messy as another well known product that comes in a tube. Kitties seem to like the flavor, too.

My cat gets CET flavored pet toothpaste out of the tube as a treat so she readily stepped up to the Cat Lax tube and took it straight from the tube. She has happily had two helpings from the tube since I got it from the vet yesterday and here I am to buy more to keep it in stock at all times now that I know she is prone to constipation. $8 at the vet and $2.95 here.

Works wonders for our older cat by Kathleen from Virginia01/23/2013

Our older cat has a tendency toward constipation and extended bowel. I give him about 1" of this every day and it keeps him much more regular and comfortable.

Torri can't live without by Lyndylou02/12/2012

Cat Lax is what keeps Luv Paws A Torrid Affair of Pine Coon (Torri) perking. She is 16 and all systems have slowed down. Without this product we wouldn't still be enjoying our marvelous Torri.

Good purchase by Shirwhir from Pennsylvania01/15/2012

This produst helps my car eliminate fur balls and keeps her from getting sick on them. Good product. i bought something similar to it at Walmart but my cat didn't like the taste of it at all. She loves your product. I squeeze a little on my finger and she comes right to me and lickes it all off and keeps on licking even after it is all gone. Good product.

Cat Lax by Yan06/18/2013

My cat loved this product and eagerly lapped it from my finger. It did the trick and relieved her constipation in one application.

I give a dose of cat lax to my two Maine Coon cats, Elvis and Gidget. Due to their long, dense fur, it is absolutely necessary they are well groomed and giving them this product helps in eliminating hair balls. Thank you.

My Cat Loves This by fyryred from Fernley, NV11/08/2012

I have a cat that is prone to constipation and the vet sold me a tube of this for about double what Entirely Pets charges. I understand their markup and I am glad my vet sold this to me because my cat loves this and will just eat it from the tube. I do not have to coax her or put it on her paw. I ask her if she wants her treat and she steps right up to tube of Cat Lax.

Cats like it by Greg11/23/2011

I think this keeps the hairball problem somewhat in check. I've been ordering from EntirelyPets for some time now, mostly from Amazon. This product's price went up substantially in the last few months on Amazon. I saved a little purchasing on EntirelyPets own website, but it is still pricey for a laxative. My cats like it better than other brands however.

Fixes that hairball/digestion issue. by Sharon05/01/2013

Our street-rescued long haired cat started throwing up. Took him to the vet and he said it might be hairballs. Recommended Cat Lax and it did the trick! We never saw any hair, but it must have irritated him. Maybe once a month his tummy gets unset now. He licks the Cat Lax right off of our finger. We administer a maintenance dose of once every other day during the week.

The grass grew unbelievably fast! Very easy to put together and use. My cat loves it!

cat just loves this by lynneepooo from Wakefield, Michigan02/01/2012

my cat just loves the grass but pulls the grass so hard the seed and all come up. I wasn't aware that there were extra seeds for more plantings. I planted ALL the seeds at one time. Now I need to purchase more seeds. This has really helped my cat with getting rid of hair balls. He thinks he's outside when he rubs the individual grass with his nose and puts his head in the planter. Best thing I could have ever purchased to make him happy during the winter when he can't go outside.

Disappointing by Jay from Florida11/04/2012

I read rave reviews of this product but I wasn't impressed. It did not help hairballs nor did it work as laxative. The worst thing I noticed that when it dried on pet's fur it actually hardened. I wondered what it could do internally then. I'll stick to oil or homemade remedies.

What I like best about this product is that it is flavored, so my cats enjoy eating it and I don't have to force them to eat it.

Great product... by Marley11/18/2012

this is a great product because it helps your pet eliminate hair balls or with constipation. You just put it on the pet's front paw and he/she will lick it off. You don't have to struggle with them at all, and they seem to like the flavor.

When my 20 year old cat started having elimination problems, I researched constipation on the internet and found many sites recommended Laxatone. My cat has been licking a little bit of tuna flavored Laxatone from the tube each morning for many months now and has had no recurrence of constipation. Entirely Pets has the best price and fastest shipping and this keeps my cat healthy and me worry-free..

Best hairball product ever! by KLC06/29/2013

I have used many hairball products with several long-haired cats and this is the one that they will always willingly eat. I use a small dose morning and evening before their meal as a treat! Hairballs are not 100% eliminated, but rare, especially in spring when they shed off their winter coats. Brushing helps as well. Thank you for an excellent price!

Wonderful Find by Jen12/17/2012

After using another brand (of which the big drug company said they were having supply issues each time I called) I decided to try this for my older cat and she just LOOOVED it!! As anyone with cats knows, finding something they actually want to eat is like pure gold. My cat has always preferred fish flavors and this one was the winner!

I am a widow with to dogs who shed and years ago when my husband was a live we used Mrs Allen's stop shed and were very impressed with it. But I can not afford it at this time so I will have to buy the cheap stuff at wal-mart & hope it works.

shed stop by lisa rodriguez06/21/2008

This stuff is wonderful. I have a large dog who shed virtually all year round. I would just rub my hand down his back and come up with a handful of hair. I have used this product for about a week, and now I can run my hand down his back and pick up no hair. It's amazing. Also I like this product because it's available in the 1-gallon size. At three tablespoons a day the smaller sizes of similar products would not be cost-effective if you own a larger dog.

Both my golden retriever and cavilier king charles dogs have been using this product since they were puppies and not only do they shed very little, but their coats are full. I started using this over a year ago and I was sold on this product soon after using it on my dog, Rascal. I used to comb out handfuls of hair, but once I added Shed Stop to his food, he now sheds just a light amount of hair. Wow, what a difference. I just purchased my 3rd gallon because it really works. If your dog sheds all year long, this product is for you. You won't be disappointed. It's so easy to use, just add one pump to their food once a day.

Works awesome if you stay consistent! by sardog from Keller, TX09/03/2010

I'm in Search & Rescue and I have a beautiful German Shepherd that sheds like mad year around. A groomer a while back told me about this product and now she suggest it to all her clients. What she told me is that you have to put the correct amount in the dogs/cat food every day. If you miss a day your pretty much have to almost start over, because they need to build up to in their system. That is not really true but its a good rule to go by. It takes 30 days to start seeing results that are incredible. But pretty much you'll see some results in a couple of weeks. The coat is a amazing now, very smooth, healthy thick and soft to the touch. Normally his hair is like petting a shark. I did some research and found the original name was Shed Stop. I contacted the people that actually make the product. Turns out dogs and cats are living longer lives due to this product, it actually provides an amazing amount of oil and water to all the organs... This gallon size also comes with a squirter... I add a little bit of water to his dry food and give him 2 squirts (even though he should get about 1.5 squirts) he loves it and eats all his food in one setting... For dog food I used Kirklands Chicken and Vegetable from Costco/Sams, cheap and its awesome. If you check the ingredients its one of the only big dog bags anymore that are good for Shepherds to eat. But my dog is very healthy, he's more alert and happy and I'm really serious... This product should be mandatory for all cats and dogs. BTW, the manufacture told me you could get the dog formula for cats, there is very little difference between the two.

Great for Hairballs by Melissa from Maryland12/16/2012

My cat Lily goes nuts over these treats and gobbles them up at lightning speed. Plus, they really do help with her hairballs! If I make sure to give her a couple of these every day or two, she stays hairball-free, however if I run out and she goes a week without them, it is likely that I will find a yucky mess waiting for me.

Amazing improvement in coat & digestion by Katy from Los Angeles, CA12/05/2012

I first bought these in May when my cat had a giant hairball that lasted 7 days. It was her first ever at age 4--obviously she'd been building hair up inside. She loves the taste. Then I just gave them occasionally. A month ago she had some distress, trouble going to bathroom & constipated. So we started giving her 4, then 2 a day once she felt better. Since then her poops are healthier, more quantity and more robust, and her coat has become incredibly soft and even shinier. She is back to her spry self and has developed a special meow over the last 2 weeks specifically to ask for these treats. We'll continue with them as long as she asks for them. We also switched her morning wet food to a raw one, Stella & Chewy's, after reading how some cats with lots of hairballs get better after switching to raw and/or grain free food. Seems the grain can slow down the intestinal motility, hair can then build up and not be digested as normal. Enzymes in raw food also help with that. And these treats are obviously helping lots as well. After just buying a new bag at Petco for $7.99 (!), I will purchase them here where I get other things.
